I did the 45min RMT buccal face massage and it was lovely. The lady was super nice, I for sure recommend and definetly felt the effects the next couple days. I was late for the appt by about 10 mins, which was my own fault, but they didn't extend the time even though I was the only person there. Also left me for almost 5 minutes to undress for a face massage. I really did enjoy this and especially recommend if you clench your jaw but it was rather pricey at $150 plus tip. I booked a 25 min + 50 min foot reflexology and this experience was amazingly relaxing. It was much Kneaded! First off, the studio has about 4 lounge chairs for foot reflexology and 4 rooms for body massages. Place is a quiet and serene that relaxes you. My masseuse, Ava, covered my eyes and covered me in a blanket, tilted the lounge chair and that was the start of la-la-land. I soaked my feet in a big tub of warm water with epsom salt and flower petals. Ava was professional, kneaded the exact places where it was sore. The foot reflexology ended with a neck and back massage. And a cup of yummy tea. What a relaxing experience! I'll definitely come back and recommend this place. The Fresha site they use to manage bookings needs a bit of work and updating. Pages couldn't load and it leads you back to the original questions. Because of this, I had to call them several times directly to provide credit card info and confirm my appointment. Heard great things about Knead and booked myself and a girl friend a 50 minute foot massage. The experience started with soaking our feet in a warm water solution, covering our eyes, reclining our chairs, and an arm massage on each side. It set the right mood and I was instantly relaxed. Our masseuse was attentive and made sure to check in how the pressure was from time to time to ensure our maximum comfort and relaxation. Shortly after our service started, relaxing music began to play softly within the studio. It added a nice ambiance to the already serene environment. The foot and leg massage was everything I wanted and more - did not want it to end, especially after a long week. To my friend and I surprise, the experience ended with a neck and shoulder massage. This was absolutely perfect as I always have tension there so the experience really relaxed almost all my problem areas in my body that was holding tension. After the service, we were promptly served warm chrysanthemum tea in these adorable short round glasses. Delicious way to end the service and a particular nice touch was we were given loose leaf chrysanthemum tea, not the usual package tea bag. For the 50 minute foot massage experience per person it cost $70. Well worth it, in my opinion. They also offer body massages and RMT massage so I'm looking forward to booking my next service with them soon. Free street parking on 15th Street plus a little further West at Robson Park. I was so excited for my foot massage at knead. This was my first time here and I loved the vibes. The interior is really well decorated and I loved the calming music that they play. Tessa gave me such a great experience. I loved the hot foot bath and the heated towels made the massage such a nice escape from the cold. For the 25 minute massage, they also pay attention to your calves. They have shorts for you to change into if you don't want to roll up your pants. At the end, Tessa stretched my arms, neck, and back and I left feeling so relaxed. They also served me an amazing chamomile tea at the end and it was really delightful. First visit to Knead and it was one of the best massages I've ever had! I was looking for a massage space to sign up for a membership for a monthly massage, with a goal of under $100. I had considered Sabai Thai but their prices have jumped, in my experience. In comes this great place by Fraser and East 15th, between Spool of Thread and Savio Volpe. The receptionist was cold but besides that, everything else was top notch. The rooms are small but just right. They are open air at the top and there are quite a few lined up next to one another. Just before the rooms are foot massage chairs in the open. It looks like the full body massages are more popular as they seem to all be in use while no one was having their feet done. My masseuse asked me what areas to focus on. She began with a hot towel in my feet. I don't know what to expect but in the end, it was a top notch, relaxing and much needed experience. The tea at the end was lovely, unique tasting. Checkout with the same receptionist couldn't have been more blah but the massage experience more than made up for it. I had a fantastic massage here! Did a couples massage and we got the private room with 2 beds in it. They walked us in and allowed us to change in privacy together. Once we were ready we got on our beds and our masseuses came in. My masseuse was great! Once she started she asked if there were any particular areas I wanted her to focus on the most. I told her my legs and specifically my calves since we had been doing a lot of walking and hiking the previous days before. After she started she checked the how I liked the pressure and she even gave me a numbered scale 1 = can't feel anything, 2 = feels pressure but no pain, 3 = slightly painful but good, 4 = maximum pain that I can stand, 5 = too much please do less. I told her I wanted to hover around 3-4 and she hit that perfectly. She worked my calves really hard that I felt sore afterwards, but for all the right reasons. Definitely loosened me up and felt good after. My partner said her masseuse didn't ask her anything about pressure and felt like she didn't really get a good massage. I'm sad our experiences were so different while we were right next to each other. My suggestion is to communicate with your masseuse from the start to make sure you're getting what you want. Overall I loved my massage and really enjoyed the couples experience together. read more
