Just finished my third appointment at Knead 2 Stretch and I love it. So far I've seen Lynda and Davina and have done both the stretch/massage and the massage. I really feel like I'm getting an expensive massage at a deep discount without the fluffy robe stuff that I don't need. The stretch is out in the main room so you keep your clothes on and you don't get greasy or lotioned up. The massage is a private room where you undress and more oils are used. Both offer really deep and therapeutic massages. They have memberships but right now I'm just paying as I go. Right now (or maybe always?) there's deals on Yelp for $15 off or Thursdays they're offering 25% off all treatments. My husband and I have been faithfully going to Knead 2 Stretch for years and look forward to our weekly appointments. Our schedules are very packed as we run a business and have two busy kids. Our time with Coreena, Lynda and now Divina is just enough time to work out the knots in our neck and back, while stretching and relaxing our lower back and legs. It's a therapeutic stretch AND massage without the oil and we can keep going in our busy day! However, we love that a full massage is also an option for those times when we want more relaxation and have the time to go home afterwards. I enjoyed the sessions but when I went for my last contracted one, the masseuse and owner was not there. I went back 3 times with the same result. When I asked for my money back for that session, I was refused because "my contract was with the company, not her and anyone else could have done it." My first visit was through a Groupon over 2 years ago. I became a member after my first visit. With my workout schedule and day to day work activities, my lower back, hips and shoulders are always tight. Every therapist I have had (Lynda, Nina, Corina) have been wonderful. They really get to all the tight spots you can't simply stretch on your own. I have started bringing my dad in, who has had 2 back surgeries and needs a third. What a great find! I train very hard and typically I get a deep tissue massage for "maintenance." Lately, deep tissue has not been working for me coupled with some new injuries I wanted to to try something different. Luckily, I stumbled on Ray's establishment. His method combines passive deep stretching as well as traditional massage techniques. After my initial session my body felt really refreshed and my problem areas addressed throughly. The "therapist" that I saw was disengaged and did absolutely nothing as far as "stretching" goes; and this business is too overpriced for what I received. I tried engaging with the therapist to let her know where my problem areas were but communication was lost. I had one session, interacted with only one individual in person, so this review will be focused on my single appointment. It's unfortunate that this one experience left such a sour taste in my mouth. It's apparent in the other reviews that people have had good experiences here. Unfortunately, as I arrived for my appointment the therapist was unhappy and provided zero positive energy that would have kept me engaged throughout the half-hour session. I asked her a couple simple questions about the stretches and she failed to advocate for the business or speak to any credentials and/or "experience" in stretching people's bodies. What did I get myself into? $50 for 25 minutes? I don't understand what it is I was supposed to get out of that? So disappointing. On another note... Maybe it's me, but leaving a container on the counter asking for 15-20% tip is tacky...Just that alone left a bad first impression.
