I called ahead and asked about getting a lymphatic drainage massage- not for a pre or post surgery. I just needed a detox and cleanse (which I do monthly for swollen lymph nodes) I explained what I needed and that I didn't just want a massage. Parking- make sure to drive alll the way to the end to find them (my gps had me in another parking lot) The room they placed me in was clean, had the lights dimmed, spa music playing, and a hot pack under the bed. I was told to undress and lay down. Leide is very sweet, she speaks limited English. She used a vacuum suction machine on me to help with draining and another machine that helped to breakup everything (red light) She massaged my arms, stomach, legs and back. I wish she spent more time on my stomach ( I tried to communicate that's why I was there) I think people come in for these massages to sculp their body- but I needed it for medical purposes. WOW!!!! I don't think I could ever say enough wonderful things about John and his magical hands! I had my first visit last week and I am going back in two weeks. If my schedule weren't so hectic I would be there weekly! Not only is the area of this location very safe, but there is plenty of parking. The office is very clean, and nicely setup with a very relaxing ambiance! The restrooms were extremely clean and they have a water cooler for you to refill and drink as much water as you need before and after your appointment! John is so kind, and very easy to talk to. He took the time to discuss my issues with me and I did not feel rushed at all. My appointment was at 1pm, and we talked for the first ten minutes or so, then at 1:15 we got started. The room has a very nice relaxing dressing area with a robe and hair ties for your use. I posted pictures! You get to choose your music or ambiance for your massage. I had a trickling river! It was amazing! John uses a natural coconut oil for your massage, but I also had hot stones for a portion of my treatment. He talks you thru the difficult parts and explains any problem areas that have dense tissue so you can be prepared for next day tenderness. We finished at 2:45 and I was able to take my time getting to my feet, gaining back my balance and getting dressed. When we were done John took the time to explain what he felt during the massage and some problematic areas. Then before I left he gave me some suggestions on how to take care of myself thru the soreness, and some of the things I may feel like along with the soreness like nausea, tenderness, the need to cry. My massage was only $90 and it was the best $90 I have ever been so happy to spend! It was an incredible experience! Expert at deep tissue as well as other massage techniques. I have been going regularly to the same masseur for 31 years and he finally retired so I needed a new massage therapist. My old masseur told me that I enjoyed the deepest tissue massage of all his clients over his career, so I began the search for someone who could meet my needs in terms of deep tissue. I made my first appointment with John for New Year's Eve, and my husband had an appointment as well as my adult daughter who had just gotten whiplash from a car accident. We all had different needs. My husband does not like the deep tissue as much as I do, but he suffers from back aches, and he loved every second. My daughter also likes just upper body with concentration on her whiplash. She went twice in 3 days. My wish had come true. John was able to massage as deeply as I needed and he was also a great listener, and in fact, at one point I asked for less pressure in a certain area. He has the heart of a teacher and also gave me a technique of how my husband could help my stiff shoulders while we are at home. He told me that my husband could sit against a wall with his legs out and that I could lay down with my head by his knees. then he could bend his leg and bring it up to his chest and with his heel and foot put pressure on my shoulders to keep them relaxed and from getting so stiff. What a wonderful tip! He focuses on overall health and wellness. I left my massage feeling like I was floating in the clouds. John is extremely professional, his office is very clean and there is also an esthetician and other services in his office. At a certain point, I felt bad for requesting more pressure since I knew he was getting a work out! Although he did insist for me to nitpick at any little thing I needed. John is friendly, professional, and frequently checks in with you during your massage to see if you need anything adjusted. I appreciate all the nuances that make this gem of a place so special. The only negative things I've encountered was the fact that the website is a little confusing. While researching the place, I noticed there were three different addresses assigned to his practice. To clear any confusion, the correct one is the 25030 Ave Tibbitts. The online appointment system was also a bit on the fritz when I attempted to make an appointment. Time slots that would be open would say they weren't and after refreshing the page four times, the available time slot would be open. Confusing. Also, one other business shares Suite N with John's practice so once you walk in, you have to enter the second door straight ahead and that's where John's business is. However, none of that really had to do with the quality of my fantastic massage. Most of that is information I would have found helpful when researching a new place. As I approach my year anniversary of my surgery, I've been feeling grateful to all of the people that helped me. I realized I forgot to write a review for John so better late than never! John is AMAZING!!! I had surgery to remove my breast implants, which were causing me health issues, and later had another fat transfer to the breast surgery to correct deformities. The surgery involved liposuction, which worried me because I was afraid of dimpling post surgery. I went to John specifically for lymphatic massage to help my body heal appropriately. He was very knowledgeable about lymphatic massage and took such good care of me during my recovery. Each session decreased my pain and decreased my swelling. I can say now, a year later, that I have absolutely no dimpling and healed perfectly. I know this is partly due to a good surgeon but I also believe it is from John's work as well.
