I've been getting massages consistently for the last 10 years and for the price, this place holds up extremely well. These woman know exactly what they are doing. I told them my neck and lower back were the problem areas and they focused on them diligently. They focused on my problem areas, and every the other area they worked on, they were equally as effective. Kim is an amazing experienced masseuse. So is June. I was feeling stress on my body from work. I called to see if they had any availability. The owner accommodated me. She was so friendly and welcoming. The massage was amazing. My usual Thai massage place wasn't available for a last minute booking, so I opted for White Orchid - Tuesday 02/02 Prior to calling I read the reviews and figured I would have a good experience. This was not the case. My "masseuse" poked and put pressure on me sporadically for what seemed like the better portion of the massage - this is when I began to realize she didn't know what she was doing. But I gave it some time under the assumption this place has good reviews and the massage would get better. This was not the case. All she did was stroke randomly, and made a attempt to use hot stones. Not sure how you can mess this one up, but someone should take the stones away from her and start by teaching her how to give a descent massage. In the begging of my "massage" I asked for absolutely no leg massage or anything of that sort as I had recently hurt my knee. While laying on my back, she lifted my leg and attempted to stretch it up and over. I was left in pain - days later. At this point I ended my massage early and informed her that I was done. When it came time to pay, I told the owner about what had happened. She gave me attitude and said "what do you want me to do about it". I told her I just wanted to give her the heads up about what happened. That was all. I asked for my total, when I pulled my card out. She said she would only take Venmo and couldn't accept any cards. I told her she should have given me a heads up prior to the massage as I don't have venmo. She yelled and said "you complain about everything - everything wrong". And went off on a temper tantrum. LOL. If the massage is horrible, and you can't accept card payments. There is a lot wrong. My wife ended up Venmo'ing her and I walked out. I'd rather make an attempt to explain anything of merit to a toddler, rather than have a conversation with the owner of this establishment. It was as if I was trying to communicate with a rock. I thought they were joking, but they definitely were not. They were so rude and I won't ever be back. By the way, there are other reviewers who experienced the same thing. I dont want to give 5 stars because i want to be able to make reservations easier, but the public needs to know. do not go, if you are not going to tip more than $20.00. My familys going, i go, and i recommend highly. You dont even need to say anything like your preferences, they are professionals and they know already what you need. its like the cocktail waitress giving you the drink best for your mood and needs for that moment. Ive had.... severe severe bad sciatic nerves and pinches my whole life and now.... i dont feel any pain. the pain i have now is literally at a solid 0. As a follow up, called today nearly in tears because I was having a horrible flare up. I don't know who was answering the phone, but whoever it was should be flat out fired. I asked for an immediate appointment, they can't (totally understand I asked late in the day) she goes so then are you coming tomorrow or not? And I responded with could you give me one second I just need to check my kids schedule and she literally goes "okay I don't have time for this", I asked if 9:30 would work because that's when they open and she literally says you can come at 10, because if you don't show up for 9:30 I don't have to waste my time. What the f*ck kind of attitude is that? And then SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Worst massage ever! I got a couples massage for my husband's birthday and I so deeply regret it now. I kept saying ooh that hurts multiple times and she just said "you are tense" well yeah that's a shoulder bone. I had Pa and my husband had June. I immediately knew she didn't know what she was doing but put up with it because I didn't want to ruin my husband's massage. Where do I start... 1)They kept the door open when giving a massage to my wife and I. We asked them to close it and the lady had an attitude and still didn't close it all the way. 2)When someone says ouch, do not massage there, do not continue to massage in that area. They do not listen to their clients. 3)DO NOT let them stretch you, trust me, do yourself a favor and say no.. better yet, find another place. They do not know what they are doing and can cause serious damage. 4 The smell, most places smell fresh and pleasant.. not so much here . 5) I cannot recommend this place at all. Holy Hands of Steel! Pa just gave me the massage of a lifetime. How could such a petite female be so powerful? She knows how to use her entire body as in standing on you and walking and digging and kneading all of her. Im a big guy so maybe she just figured she could tap dance all over me...if you do not want this level of intensity tell her...and be clear with those where English is not their home language. Great service! Always so friendly and so helpful! Amazing combo massage of Thai and Swedish by JJ. She knew exactly how to help and what I needed and listened to what I asked. Hot stones and aromatherapy are included in the massage which are usually an extra cost. In regards to Covid they limit the amount of customers in at a time and make sure everything is sanitized. We just came back from our vacation from Thailand and I was looking for a place that offered traditional Thai massages.This place is legit. White Orchard is about 40 miles away but well worth the drive. I hurt my tendon in my left foot and asked Nadia to focus on my foot. I've been wearing a soft cast for months and today I walked with just a wrap. She knew exactly where I was injured and was extra careful with my tendon. The rest of the massage was just as great. She worked out all the kinks in my neck and back. My husband had June and she was good too. I can't believe what a great deal this place was. We paid $80 for a couple's one hour massage! GREAT massage. Deep tissue, hot stones, hot towels, warm compress, heated table - all part of the experience. She packed a lot into our hour. Been taking prenatal massages here and I love it! My husband and I used to come here quite as often and now with pregnancy symptoms I been coming more regularly. Angel is the best at it! I have lots of pain in between my legs and she leaves me feeling great, she is always asking about how you feel, are you comfortable, is the pressure ok? We both walked in, but the way their hallway is situated, the lady could only see my husband. She walked out the room and seemed scared to come to the desk just from the sight of him! Mind you, my husband is a small frame and completely NOT intimidating in the least bit! Most people think he's much younger than he is, because of his baby face. But I guess him being a black man was intimidating enough. He said to her, oh it's my pregnant wife, she wants a prenatal massage. She came around the corner and saw me. She still looked confused and scared. I asked her about a massage. She said they were booked. My husband asked " what about tomorrow morning?" She nodded her head yes. But by that time I was turned off. She clearly did not want OUR business. She didn't want to take us nor offer the next day. So note to this business, you have lost out on lots of business! I'll be sure to let the birth center know you don't treat everyone equal. Service staff at front is not that welcoming - in person or on the phone. i should have gone with the gut feeling over the phone and not booked, but i figured im in the area and it's reasonably priced... This did not make for a relaxing environment and neither did the therapist. I asked for neck and upper back mainly for an hour - i felt like i got a rub down by a 5 year old the first 40 minutes or so... i kept asking for more pressure , and about 15 minutes left to the treatment, it literally felt like someone else had walked in to continue. I asked why not? then she finally said OK, 6:15 p.m. I said perfect 6:15 p.m. works for me can you do 90 minute. she says no, we don't do 90 minute for 1st time clients. what why wouldn't you do 90 minutes for a first time client ? like why would you limit to only 60 minutes. so I said please like I need a 90 minute that's what I'm used to, and she finally said OK I'll do 90 minute. I said OK how much? she said $65 I said perfect. and then I asked is there anyone there that could you deep tissue massage like very deep. I need a very therapeutic massage because i have a lot of knots. she said no, we cancel your appointment! i was like what do you mean you cancel my appointment I haven't even technically booked that yet. she said someone just came in and took your spot. i askef, so someone came in at 2:30 and requested to have 615 in oerson? ahe said yes. so i asked are you lying? and she replied yes. what kind of business practice is that???? read more
