Also unlike the touristy cheese shops, the employees here are friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. You can learn a lot about cheese on your visit here. I like spicy cheeses, and I found varieties of cheese with hatch peppers, sriracha, chipotle, jalapeño, and ghost pepper. I ended up purchasing four different cheeses but I found dozens that I would like to try. If I lived anywhere near this place I would be stopping by every week to buy a few new varieties. Sale priced items were put on a chalkboard outside the cheese room. Everyone in my group enjoyed looking at the selection, from curds to hard cheeses. Right off the front entrance there was a room that appeared to have samples but I didn't try any. Obviously they had more than cheese including wine and cheese themed knickknacks. Open until 6 on Saturday's to get your cheese fix. Make sure you stop by because who doesn't need more cheese in their life. As I left breakfast I took a walk through the farmers market and noticed some fresh Asian food being cooked on a grill. A band was setting up but I would be gone before it started. It went on for blocks with lots of veggies and something I don't see in the Milwaukee area farmers market, fresh strawberry's so I got a container. I saw a little girl dressed in Amish clothes at a fresh baked goods stand so I stopped because I have never had Amish baked goods. Everything looked amazing and I took a mini rhubarb pie with me. I sometimes order in advance and they freeze 5 or 10lbs of brats so I save on the ice in my cooler in the summer months. For the hunters, they also process hundreds of deer and other critters and often work with the local farmers. Hoff's is a hidden gem about 2.5 miles west of Rte. 41 on Rte. 49.

Theresa is a small quant town, and you have a feeling of walking back in time as you enter into the store. It feels great to support the team here. The only downfall we found out this last trip is the waxed cheese our 'WI' shaped one was full of mold, and it is not even made there. That made my son sad when he broke it open when we got home to find it full of green. They are made in MI so we lost the 'local' feel on that this round.
