That said, I got caught up in the holidays and wasn't on top of her either. We scheduled a day and due to a death in the family she had to reschedule; only she never called us back for a new date. So as our wedding quickly approached I called and she informed me she had been back at work for 2 weeks. So why not call? anyway. . . she refunded us for the engagement session. On the day of the wedding she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was really attentive to us and took pictures of all that we asked her to. I can say that she worked her butt off that day. BUT. . . When we got our pictures back they were mediocre at best. I was really disappointed. they were sort of ok. I guess you get what you [pay for. We have enough to make a wedding album and we're not photogenic people, but it was day I felt pretty and my pictures of it weren't. I will also say that she was a week + late getting our pictures to us because of a family death. so either this was a really bad few months for her or. . . of the 600 or so pictures maybe 90 are useable.

When I got in contact with her, we chatted about any ideas I had in terms of locations and poses, but she was also incredibly helpful in prompting us to think about what we wanted out of our shoots. She's able to scout locations super quickly once at the destination and is a true pro at being able to get the shot. We took our engagement photos at Lands End and Golden Gate Park on an absolutely freezing day (another normal day in SF haha) and Audey helped us get through the shoot quickly and successfully! She directed us through all of the poses and made us feel super comfortable and relaxed with her. We were even able to squeeze in some last minute unplanned shots that actually turned out so beautiful. For SF city hall, she truly is a miracle worker because nobody had guessed that there were several other couples also milling around the rotunda based on the outstanding shots she was able to take. Coco is awesome!!!!!!!!!!…read more When we were researching wedding photographers, they all fell into three basic groups: Expensive+Awesome, Expensive+Boring, and Cheap+Boring. All except for Martinography! There's a whole new category of one: SuperAffordable+SuperAwesome. I am so sick of standard wedding photos. Boring colors, boring lines of people, and HOURS of boring standing around getting paired up with different combinations of the wedding party. Boo! I wanted tons of color, creative poses, and candid shots. Coco brought it! I knew she was special as soon as I saw the pix on her website, but it was fantastic to meet with her in person and look through her fun portfolio. A previous reviewer wrote here that "When Coco and I met, I instantly like her--I think its hard not to be magnetized to her passion and zest for life". That captures her in a nutshell. I'm going to make the same joke here that I made the whole time we were engaged: if I hadn't married Annie, I'm pretty sure she would have married Coco! Everyone at our wedding who met her told us what a delight she was, which is important. Photographers can be invisible or fun or both, but you don't want people telling you how off-putting or bossy or unpleasant your wedding photographer was to them. No worries here! She even took some videos with her camera, which I forgot was a possibility. Or maybe I just wasn't paying that much attention when we met because I had already made my decision. It was an incredible blessing though, because we had the most awesome wedding dance ever - we rickrolled the entire wedding, live - and the people who were going to record it had to leave early. And then it appeared on our wedding photo cds, along with video footage of our opening and closing and vows. (Clearly not as important as the DANCE....) Coco should be charging three times what she charges. We paid (ok, my mom paid as her gift) something around $400 for what was supposed to be three hours if I remember correctly, and Coco even stayed longer out of the goodness of her heart to capture our dance. But I didn't want to tell her she should raise her rates till after we paid! She has a day job in Silicon Valley and does the photography because she loves it so much. Why not just do what you love, is what I say! (I suppose she must love her day job too, but it's hard to imagine her in an office.) Magnificent! I am so glad that I found her through Yelp forums and so glad that we chose her.

The pictures were high quality and captured the mood of the day. My husband is the son of a photographer (and avid amateur himself) and the digital prints passed his incredibly high quality bar! Additionally, they handled 14 one-year-olds with grace and made it look easy. They succeed in getting good photos of each young guest. I was very impressed with their ability to handle a rather chaotic situation as if it were no problem. Several of my friends have used Laura for her studio photo shoots. We will be trying that later this year. I can imagine the results will be even better when she has control of lighting, backdrop, etc.

My husband Shaunt and I were looking for a package deal on an engagement session and our wedding day. We arranged to meet with Jaclyn to discuss our vision, her pricing and learned about each other. After meeting with Jaclyn, Shaunt and I knew she was the perfect fit as our photographer. Her relaxed attitude, artistry and portfolio really captured us. My husband proposed in Maui by the beach at sunset so Jaclyn acknowledged that our engagement session had to be near the beach and towards sunset as it was very symbolic and meaningful to our story. Jaclyn even climbed a rock to find the perfect angle for one of the beach sand photos. The results were absolutely breathtaking. When it came to our wedding day, she brought an assistant to help cover 250 guests and other special moments. We told her what to keep an eye on during our Armenian Christian wedding ceremony and the traditions that take place at the reception. During a busy wedding season, she provided an extensive preview a couple weeks after our wedding in August. A few weeks later she provided the final link to all of our photos and they were jaw dropping. Jaclyn's work is so beautiful! She was easy to work with and very responsive when it came down to any questions via email/text. We are pleased and thrilled with all of our wedding photos as we know these will last a lifetime. She was over 30 minutes late (although she did text me to tell me so) but I wanted to give her a second chance and look at her work. I really liked her personality and her portfolio was nice given she's only been doing this for about 4 years. She promised that she would not be late if we did use her for our wedding. I did mention to her that she had to be approved through the resort that we are getting married at since she lives out of town and she was okay with that. The wedding coordinator emailed Jaclyn to get her insurance but didn't get an email back. After several days passed, I emailed Jaclyn and didn't get a response email from her until a few days later. She indicated that she was busy all weekend and would call back the coordinator that same afternoon. Well, she never called! Since she was late for our first meeting, I feel that she should have been prompt with her follow through with me and the coordinator. Totally unacceptable. Perhaps it's her youth or lack of professional experience.. I expected more from a photographer that is trying to build her business. Your wedding is a very special day and all vendors that you use should make it a great experience. So, if you want a photographer that is tardy and lacks quick response but is cheap and does fairly good work then you found your gal.
