Upon advice from my mechanic bro-in-law: don't get suckered into spending more on an oil change even with a pretty new car (unless of course that new car is a bmw or lexus or corvette etc... lol). This time we brought our 2010 Mazda (since we scrapped the lemon). So we specified: just a good ol' fashioned oil change no added bells and whistles just the basic package. And that's what we got. Super quick both times: complete process in less than 30 minutes. No line went right away. 8am on a weekday for the Impala, 4pm on a Tuesday for the Mazda (today). Does the trick. My error was not asking the price before getting the service done (just oil change). I was billed $210 for JUST an oil change. Had I done it at BMW I would have had free coffee and drinks in a clean bright environment, with wifi and my car would have been washed as well. I will not be returning.

I changed my spark plugs at this garage after one died on me on the road and this was the closest garage I could drive to. One year later, while checking my car elsewhere, the mechanic noticed a gas smell and found that the spark plugs had been poorely tightened. When I returned from my roadtrip and finally had time to call the garage, I was greeted by a secretary interrupting me introducing my problem to say "should I be the one you should be talking to?" When I said I didn't know because she hadn't let me finish she answered "what's your question" in a short tone. The person she ended up transferring me to was no better, pretending he was stating facts, while the timeline, proofs, and documentation I had were irrelevant. Right away, it was evident he was going to blame anything and anyone to ensure he didn't have to own up to a mistake. He said I should have called immediately and he would have towed the car (I was out of the country 800km away). He kept trying to insinuate my story was changing as I was providing him with additional information on the timeline of events, which he would then cut me off from providing. He even had the nerve to tell me that if I had a loose spark plug, I could never have driven around even though I clearly drove to their garage with a dead one. Finally, there was no discount given for the fact their work was shoddy and had to be redone by another mechanic. Needless to say - if your car breaks down around Decarie and Sherbrooke, get it towed to a real garage.

They will try to convince you that your car has many difference issues that need to be fixed "now", not letting you to see your own car while doing the inspection, then they come with a ridicules bills to pay with a very unprofessional attitude. This is not just my own words; my friend visited the same auto shop in the past and encounter with the same situation. With the list of the problems and issues that they suggested that my car had and offering to fix with an unbelievable price tag, I visited the Canadian Tire for the second opinion and indeed they verified that the most issues were told by the Monsieur Muffler, were unfounded and some other issues were very minimal that can be fixed with very fair low cost. None of the major parts, that Monsieur Muffler repair shop asked me to change, needed to be changed. Indeed, the Canadian Tire allowed me to see those parts under the car by myself and they showed me that there were no defect or problems with those specific parts that "Mr. Muffler" suggested that needed to be changed. The week after, I visited Monsieur Muffler and I talked to the manager. He didn't even want to listen to me and trying to avoid the conversation, rather he was very rude with an unprofessional attitude.
