I have had my vehicle upkeep and repair here for 2 years. George Garage is consistent, fair, thorough and honest. George himself is just also so thoughtful and kind. Highly recommend. read more

We drove up to Montreal from New York for the F1 weekend and arrived with a flat tire.**. We limped into George's feeling dejected and 10-15 minutes later were back on the road. Friendly, welcoming, accommodating and very fairly priced. They dropped everything to attend to us. Since we just arrived, we had no Canadian dollars - The owner accepted our US dollars with a smile and a wave, and told us to come back if the patch didn't hold. THANKS! **car with "run flat" tires; compressor for emergencies and no spare. read more

I was in Montreal for a few days from New Jersey and ended up with a dead battery! I tried 2 separate Hyundai dealers as well as two other auto repair shops! The dealers refused to even see me until later in the week, the two repair shops wanted to charge me crazy money knowing I was from the US and desperate! I drove by George Garage almost by accident and stopped by, the owners couldn't be nicer and more accommodating! They gave me a more than reasonable price for a new battery and sent the owners son to pick it up, within 20 minutes of showing up I was back up and running with a new battery! They could have easily took advantage of me and jacked up the price but the owners and staff were genuinely nice friendly people and went out of their way to help me! read more

I was in Montreal from out of town and didn't know what was wrong with my power steering. When I brought my car to George Garage based on high ratings, I braced myself for a long wait and a big charge. And potentially, to be turned away if they didn't have time for me. Instead I got an immediate diagnosis (simply needed more hydraulic fluid) and the last of their supply of the type my old Mini needed---no charge. I could have been taken advantage of at many garages given my obvious lack of basic knowledge of cars, and was met with good old fashioned kindness and generosity. Priceless. read more

As someone who moved recently to the city and in need car maintenance, I came across George garage. The staff is unbelievably kind and honest. I will always come here as long as I live in Montreal. The first time I went there was to replace parts of the brakes in my car. I had to drop off my car late in the evening and first time in the morning the next day they already had it ready for pick up. Extremely reliable. Nowadays is hard to find a mechanic that you can trust and who won't rip you off or charge you for additional things that you might not need. I trust their service read more

I just bought a car and I told him another garage told me the car had a leaky pipe when I did the inspection a couple of days earlier. He looked at it and told me it's true and even showed me where the leak was. He fixed the car the next day when he received the part! He let me know the liquid tank might get low because it has to get through the system and I should watch it and if it got near a certain level I should bring it back so he can top it off for free. Great service! read more

Alan and his crew are some of the most straight forward and honest mechanics in Montreal. I've brought several different cars there over the years. I've always had excellent service and very fair prices. Basically if you need a mechanic and are in the neighborhood, you'd be foolish not to take your car there. As a woman, I don't have to worry about being taken advantage of. That's reassuring. read more

Great and trustworthy. I have been there customer for over 20 years and will continue even though I moved 30 minutes out of the city. They will never do any unnecessary work and you can trust what they say.The most recent repair saved me over $1300 from what the dealer told me was necessary. Thank you so much! Mia read more

I went to Georges to fix an electrical problem I had on y car for 2 years and never really bother to fixed. He said they redid the whole electrical wiring of the car and asked me for 200$. Two days later, my electrical doors stopped working. I went back and asked to fix it and they said they have no time, it was surely not related and they would charge me more money to fix it. I think they did a bad job and do not bother to fix the problem they created and prefer to tell me 'it is not related. I was going there for 2 years for tire changes and I am never going back. Do not fall into the trap "50 years opened" and their general smiles. If they do a bad job, Geroges do not assume his employee's mistakes and treat you poorly. He turned into a mean old man, arrogant and careless. read more
