Stuart was manning the front desk and the phone this day with a surly tone, face and the worst customer rapport I have witnessed in a long time.
He appeared to be managing things and I immediately questioned how and why this guy would have been promoted?
No wonder people, particularly females -(many of whom he dismissed and spoke condescendingly to) form negative opinions about autotrades.
I had previously called earlier that morning and asked about a simple flat repair and the timeframe required. Before I could finish my sentence I was dismissed and told to 'just bring the car down - maybe we can fix it!'
So I drove down to Kmart Tyre & Auto Broadway.. Subsequently, I waited for over 2 hours for a simple repair and was treated with disdain and contempt - as were all the customers, that I saw Stuart interact with over this time. Many were turned away in very poor form, others spoken to like they were idiots. This guy simply should not be on a front desk.
I had previously read the reviews on TRUE LOCAL.com and YELP.com regarding this location and, as it was New Years Eve, chose to take a gamble and go there. I wish I hadn't.
My brand new mag wheel has a deep scratch in it from the tyre iron used to remove my tyre. I watched the entire procedure from within the office and the parking lot facing the workshop. Although the workshop appeared clean (usually a good sign) the actions of the mechanics were largely reckless - hence the scratch. (Overall, however, it was the terrible customer service that made me vow to never return.
It's a shame - when I think KMART, I had expected consistency, good service and top value.
I feel I got the latter, and it simply was not worth it. Like the other people who reported on YELP and TRUE LOCAL. I shall take my business elsewhere next time and simply cannot recommend this place, whilst it allows managers like Stuart to interact with customers and call shots. read more
