Dash light which looked like battery light was coming on intermittently, when on air conditioning didn't work and engine fan kicked in. Took it to Battery World, Brookvale on a Saturday. After Brendan Geary checked it he said it definitely needed replacing, that the car was drawing power from the battery hence why the air didn't work every time this light came on. Bought a new battery there only 2 years ago and was told they were shit batteries which didn't last long and they don't stock them anymore. He replaced the battery and later that day the same problem occurred .
Took car to my mechanic of 10 years on the Tuesday and he said it wasn't the Battery light but the Engine Cooling light, which meant there is a fault in the engine cooling system or air conditioning system (makes sense why air would stop working). He said there was nothing wrong with the battery and that it should have lasted way longer than that.
Went straight back to Battery World, Brookvale with receipts of former and current battery, and was rudely told by manager Ross Symonds that my battery was long disposed of (3 days later) and there was no way of checking it. Then he abruptly told me "we don't just change batteries, we check them first and if it was changed there was something wrong with it, there's nothing I can do as your batteries been disposed of". Tried to explain the scenario and that now I have wasted money on a new battery and have to get the real problem fixed by an auto electrician - he wasn't interested in listening. He was so extremely rude and poor customer service.
Once home I called to speak to the boss. Ross answered and wouldn't put him on the phone, wanted to know what it was about and when I wouldn't tell him he asked if I was the woman who came in about the battery. When I said I was, he said he found my old battery and tested it and it wouldn't even start a motor bike. When I told him he told me he disposed of my old battery, he said he went through the batteries in the back and found it - it's a miracle! Told me I could come down and he would show me and I could even take it to my mechanic.
I might not have a penis Ross but I do have a brain and the fact that I had no issue starting my car 3 days ago (only problem was a light on the dash I assumed was the battery light but was not) and now it's that bad it wouldn't even start a motor bike, tells me you're nothing but a huge liar and the battery you speak of isn't even mine (but you know that)!
This business is based on lies to make money:
First we'll lie to the woman and pretend the cooling light is a battery light.
Then we'll test her battery and tell her it's stuffed and she needs a new one.
Then when she comes back we'll tell her her battery has been disposed of and there's nothing we can do.
Then when she phones up we'll tell her we went through all the batteries at the back and miraculously found hers (must have had my name on it somewhere), checked it and it's so stuffed it couldn't start a motor bike - even though 3 days ago I had zero problem starting my car even once. read more
