He made it sound like the problem was catastrophic and then told me to 'get it out' and park down the road, saying maybe he'd look at it in a few days, all while laughing. Also repeated "you cooked it". I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I then drove one minute away to another mechanic who inspected the car immediately and diagnosed the issue in under 10 seconds it was simply a broken belt. No customer deserves to be mocked or treated like a nuisance when they're worried about their vehicle. Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this business for anyone looking for an honest and respectful service.

I took my car to Franks Automotive in Marrickville and spoke to Peter about the issue; Peter organised to have the car looked at straight away and told me that the Tyre just needed a plug as it had a nail in it. 10 minutes later and a free bottle of water while waiting and I was on my way and just saved myself $400. Thanks guys great service and honesty I couldn't recommend them enough!

What I liked about them: -close to a train station (makes it easy to find a way to get to work - they are about 9 mins from St Peter's station) -they call to provide updates on the status of the service (I needed a new car battery so they called to ask about whether it is ok to go ahead with that) -they provided a complimentary car wash -the service looks good and no issues so far. What I wished they did better: -They listed that they close at 5:30pm, but when I spoke to them over the phone, they said that I should get there before 5pm as they no longer do anymore sale transactions after 5pm. So I have to leave work earlier than what I had initially expected to get there before 5pm.
