It was our last dinner in Ibiza, and the restaurant was recommended by a cool shop owner. We had a high hope after hearing how great the restaurant was.
It was certainly a combined experience.
Here goes to the story:
We went to the restaurant at about 10 pm, and dressed like an average person; a bit underdress actually. The restaurant was still full. The waitress was friendly and was willing to fit us in within 15 mins. They placed us at the club area (basically the outdoor sitting area). It was quite empty, but I was happy with the warm fireplace and the couch!
We ordered a glass of wine, skinny cocktail, and a cucumber km5 ( Vodka based). It cost about 15 euros per drink; I guess it could easily happen in Ibiza. Drinks themselves are okay; was nothing especial about it.
We were hungry and had skipped the lunch, so we were drinking extremely slow like a turtle running, all of our glasses have about 80% of the drink still.
Then we were called to be seated after waiting almost 30 mins ( I was getting tired, but was too hungry to leave). The waitress has informed another guy to take our drinks with us, but he was too busy flirting with other ladies, so he just responded that he would bring it to us later. ( which I think it's too unprofessional).
We started to order the food, but our drinks were still missing. I asked the other waitress to check for our drinks. She came back and told us that the glasses had been thrown away because there was a misunderstanding with the bar and us. ( Hello? Are you kidding me).
"The other nice waitress had informed the guy to bring us the drinks," I said. Right after my sentence, she started to question me about who was the guy, which waitress has informed this and, wait, this is for real, HOW FULL OUR DRINKS WAS?
At least point, I started to get insulted and said: " We had hardly two sips of it, this friend has maybe half of the glass left, if you want, you can just give us another half of the glass. I am not trying to get any freebie benefit from this "unnecessary" issue. " In the end, she took care of the problem by giving us a new drink.
Now, despite this unpleasant experience, the overall ratings are:
Food: We had ordered Tuna Tartar (It was delicious), T-Bone, and a Thai fish dish, they were all fresh and tasty. The food has above average standard, and I think it is safe to order almost anything from the menu. Portions were big.
Restaurant setting:
It has a nice beach vibe, and the club/restaurant mixed was not bad. The club was empty, but for Ibiza 11 pm was too early for dancing anyway. The only problem was that many people were smoking during dinner, and it was not so nice... My fish smelled like 2nd hand smoke fish in the end.
Price:
The drinks are a bit too expensive for a restaurant.
The food was good, but price was still a bit too high. Ex: T-bone (They said 1KG, but 500G is the bone) cost 86 euros.
Drinks:
Nothing really specially, I guess the price is higher than its taste.
Services:
The good: All waitress are friendly and smiley. We don't feel too out of places with our under stress situation.
The Bad:
Poor situation handling skill - This seriously killed our mood
Unorganized planning ( You consistently feel like all the waitresses are running around you)
One sentences conclusion:
Good food, high price, insignificant drinks, poor experiences and I'm not sure if I would go back again. read more
