When we arrived, the driver arbitrarily added 20% to the price, claiming it was "because of all our bags." This was never mentioned up front. He waited until we were unloading to spring the surprise charge on us -- a classic bait and switch. And then, as if that wasn't enough, he had the audacity to ask for a tip. I was with my family and didn't want to make a scene, so I paid. But I left feeling completely taken advantage of. Rarely have I felt so blatantly fleeced. This was not just unprofessional -- it was opportunistic and shady. I booked Jason to drive me to my post-operative medical appointment for the day after cataract…read moresurgery. I had seen and heard so many recommendations of Scroggins Transport Service on social media and from acquaintances, I was glad he was available. Jason is that great combination of professional and friendly. As I approached his car, he immediately jumped out to help me in case my vision was at all impaired. I could actually see well enough not to be wobbly, but I appreciated his concern and actions. He drove me to the appointment, waited for me, and then drove me home. We had great conversations each way, and the price was actually more affordable than had I booked a separate Uber each way. The car was beautifully maintained, the ride was smooth, the communication setting up the appointment and letting me know he was on the way were all perfect. I told Jason I had been keeping an eye on his ads and social media posts for a while, knowing I was reaching a phase of life where family was no longer close by, and friends were not always available to help out with transportation if I couldn't drive myself. Of the many local drivers I've seen recommended on social media, I was impressed that Jason is open to driving clients to medical appointments and social events, not just airport destinations. It is important to me that Jason has commercial insurance and this is his full-time business -- many drivers are not as appropriately insured and may only be driving as a side gig. I honestly feel like a burden has been lifted off of me, knowing that I can turn to Jason for future medical or other appointments. Had he been in business when I was driving my elderly parents to doctors' appointments several times a week, I would have eagerly booked him for a few of those visits, knowing that my parents would have been given the assistance and caring attitude that Jason offers.
