They asked me and my partner individually to do 90 minutes even though we had reserved it for 60. We got there 15 minutes later, but had to wait an additional 15 minutes in the lobby. Would've liked to be told they were running 30 minutes late instead. The massage experience: good pressure and technique. But the overall experience was not detail oriented. The pillows/support items were placed lop-sided and I had to adjust them myself every time. It was difficult to breathe through the liner that covered the spot for the head. The amount of massage oil used was stingy - felt like it was creating more resistance than helping with it. The music kept breaking and they left it like that for like 20 minutes before fixing it. It was altogether very distracting. When I went up to pay, they charged me $146, even though they had previously confirmed over both the phone and text that it would cost $140. I was initially going to use a Groupon that cost $143, but they asked me to pay them directly instead because they would charge me less and because it would be better for the business. I was surprised to see the tips to choose from ranged from ~25 to ~35 (don't remember the actual numbers but it was shockingly high). I did not have a great experience altogether but was still planning to tip 18%. When I tried to type it up myself, the front desk lady said I had to tip 20%, she pulled out a calculator and said that would be $30 (which should have been $28 for $140). It was not a suggestion to change what I was typing. She was telling me to do so. I wasn't bothered by the few dollars, but rather the dishonesty and sneakiness behind the business. One or two wrong things can be a mistake. It was our anniversary and we were really excited to try a new spot. But we unfortunately did not enjoy this experience. We will be going back to our regular spot.

First I walk in and no one is even at the front desk so I am waiting about 5 minutes before someone comes out - that's not why I won't be coming back again though. It's because 10 minutes into my massage the lady abruptly stops the massage and leaves the room because she hears their reception bell ring. Well she left with the door nearly wide open. Here I am half-naked with my face down and in no position to get up and shut the door. Next I hear this guy, a customer seeking a massage passing by my door - now I have no idea whether or not he peered into the room I was in - the point is I felt unbelievably uncomfortable and exposed. At that point when the lady returned (it was a good 5 minutes later) I was no longer into the massage as the relaxation part was interrupted. On top o that they charge you $3 for charging on a credit card. Altogether poor experience and not great service - difficult to communicate with them as well. I will say the lady massaging me was kind and I am sure she was doing her best and didn't intend to make me feel so uncomfortable - regardless if you are running a business it's critical to be mindful toward the level of service customers are getting or you loss them! Oh, and the massage was just ok - nothing epic.

Massage short version: Angie New is amazing. Book an appointment…read more Facial short version: Delaney Banfield gave me a wonderfully relaxing, personalized facial. Book one--you'll be glad you did. Longer version, for anyone who wants to know why: **MASSAGE -- ANGIE NEW** I've been seeing Angie regularly for almost a year, and she has helped me through everything from stress-related tension and jaw pain to low back pain and issues related to hip rotation. What sets Angie apart is that she doesn't simply focus on where something hurts. She listens, asks questions, and tries to understand what may be contributing to the problem and how different areas of the body are working together. She also has an incredible range of techniques. My sessions have included therapeutic massage, hot stones, cupping, gua sha, myofascial and trigger point work, and even intraoral therapy for jaw tension. She draws from that knowledge to tailor each appointment to what I'm dealing with that day. And don't let that list intimidate you! You don't need to know what technique you need--or even exactly what's going on--before you walk through the door. Angie is incredibly approachable. Tell her what's bothering you and what you're comfortable with, and she'll guide you from there, always explaining what she recommends and why. After seeing her consistently for nearly a year, I trust both her knowledge and her ability to adapt each session to what my body needs. If you're dealing with chronic tension, pain, mobility issues, or something you haven't quite been able to figure out, I highly recommend her. **FACIAL -- DELANEY BANFIELD** I recently had a facial with Delaney, and from the beginning it felt personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. She asked about my skin concerns, sensitivities and allergies, how my skin normally feels, and my home skincare routine. Throughout the facial, she checked in to make sure my skin was comfortable with the products she was using. Delaney explained the products and techniques as she went, and we talked about things like exfoliation and hydration without it ever feeling like a sales pitch. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. Her space is calm and relaxing, the hot towels felt heavenly, and the shoulder and arm massage was a wonderful addition. I left feeling thoroughly pampered, and my face was still noticeably soft and hydrated the next day. If you're new to facials, aren't sure what your skin needs, or just want some seriously relaxing self-care, I highly recommend booking with Delaney.
