Ryan is compassionate, has sympathy with others. He refers you them that best possible care. If in the hospital. he will come and visit you and will suggest to Hoag specialists to the best care. Recent reviews are extremely mixed between 1and 4-5. I totally get it. One one hand he's very knowledgeable and thorough. On the other hand he shows very little personal attention and is like a bat-out-of-Hell in and out of visit in a matter of minutes. His office seems to be designed for no more than 2 docs and 30 minute rotation of patients, but there's 3-4 docs and 15 minute back-to-back patients rushing in and out. Constant squeezing by in halls. Claustrophobic. Maybe if they cut back to Pulmonologist services only and cut out the PCP services things might be copascetic (misspelling). But nobody made me an office or business manager. read more

He listens to your needs and cares for you, so much so that he will come to the hospital and tell the head nurses what you need, also nurses are scared of disordering his orders. This doctor is the absolute worst doctor I have ever been to! He doesn't listen to any concerns. Literally doesn't even make eye contact... he leaves the room without saying anything and I thought he would come back but the nurse (intern second visit) explained he will write up my prescriptions and give them to me at the front. I wasn't even done explaining my concerns! When I saw him in the front, he brushed me off. This happened both times I went to him. The office staff is also absolutely HORRIBLE! They don't know how to do their jobs! They expect the patients to do their own authorizations! My insurance advocate had to call the office MANY times to explain to them how to do authorizations. When I say many times it's because they said they would but they wouldn't follow through and it prevented me to get my treatment. They would tell my advocate they will submit it but then when I would call they would tell me I have to do it. Not only that, they were SO RUDE- especially the male receptionist. He would cut me off, give me attitude and hang up on me all the time. I would have to call often to make sure they would follow through. I was only a patient with them for 3 months and it was the most frustrating time for me. I literally had some break downs over the stress this doctor's office caused me. I can only imagine how elderly people handle this. It's very sad and so wrong. I've been in the process of filing a grievance. read more

Wish i'd read the reviews before making an appointment. This place is so poorly run. Where do i start? (in no particular order) This place feels like going into a public health clinic. noisy, crowded and chaotic. Made an appointment for a sleep study for Sleep apnea. They drew blood in the office and sent it to an OUT of Network lab.(still working with insurance for payment) Then they referred me to several OUT of Network sleep study facilities. Once the study was complete the soonest I could get in was FIVE weeks for the results. (that's after they called and told me i have SEVERE Apnea-I guess not so severe if the soonest i can get in is 5 weeks) called a week in advance to confirm they had the study so we didn't continue to waste time. Arrived at the confirmed time and there was NO APPOINTMENT. I made a bit of a stink and they agreed to see me anyway. Dr Klein came in for a few brief minutes and told me i had MILD Apnea. I reminded him his office called with SEVERE. Once corrected, he left and that was it. I waited 5 weeks for something they already told me over the phone. I informed the front desk (who would refer me to a CPAP vendor) to please make sure it was IN Network. Also, I have met my deductible so didn't want to waste more time to cover the cost this year. Got a speedy call from an OUT of Network provider. Surprise Surprise. Tip of the iceberg. He ordered Bloodwork and a chest x-ray. When questioned i was told "It's good to have" I am DONE. Called my Internist and asked for a different Referral. My advice: READ the reviews before making an appointment. medicine is a business and if it's poorly run, take your business elsewhere. Also, follow up with your referring Dr so they don't continue to refer to bad businesses. Gave 2 stars because there are employees who do care and didn't want them to get dragged down too. read more

Dr. Klein spends approximately 10 seconds listening to his patients, then prescribes some pills, tells you to come back in a few days. He loves to rack up those co-pays. Had an ear problem, had to go in three times before he even looked in my ear, and even then only because I specifically told him to check my ears. To make it worse, his attitude the whole time was demeaning, like okay I'll humor you dumb patient that knows nothing... turns out I was right and had an infection. Then he flushed them with cold water (cold water in one ear gives you the spins) I will never be returning to this office. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Ryan Klein's for 4 years and had several run-ins with the staff there, on the phone, super rude and giving me such a hard time about transferring records or answering simple questions. I told Dr. Ryan about it when I saw him and he said "She's been here a long time, and we have not had any complaints about her." Every time I came in to see Dr. Klein (for a benign spot on my lung), he sent me out for CT Scans, PET Scans, Chest X-rays, Blood work. It was ridiculous how often he requested tests for me. The worst part of being Dr. Ryan Klein's patient was that I just went to apply for Long Term Care Insurance and was refused because Dr. Klein put in my chart that I have Sarcoidosis AND COPD. I was never told I had COPD and never instructed on what to do about that or given any information about it. I am an athlete and work out 6 days a week, bike ride 25+ miles per week, hike, do yoga, run. I am in great shape and feel great. The thought of me having COPD never even entered my mind. I changed Pulmonologists in Jan 2022 when I went on Medicare (and Dr. Klein would not accept my insurance) and my new pulmonologist went over my current lung CT and my Pulmonary Function Test and said he DOES NOT SEE anything indicating I have Sarcoidosis or COPD. My Pulmonary function test was above average, great in fact. Although I do have nodules on my lungs, they have not changed in size and he said it's up to me if I come back in a year, but if I am not having any physical problems, I don't need to. I was so incredibly stressed out for over 4 years thinking I had something seriously wrong with me because of everything Dr. Klein said and had me do. My mom died of lung cancer so I have been hyper-vigilant in taking care of my lungs. When I was DENIED Long Term Care Insurance because of what Dr. Ryan had put in my chart I was shocked. My current doctor has sent a letter to the insurance company telling them I do NOT have Sarcoidosis or COPD. The insurance will NOW approve my long term care insurance. BEWARE of this office. Pay attention to how many times they request tests for you at the hospital: CT Scans (with and without Contrast); Chest X-rays, CT scans, PET Scans, Ultrasounds, etc. RIDICULOUS! I'm actually sick to my stomach about how I was treated. read more

Absolutely loved Dr Ryan Klein and his staff, exceptionally professional and fast with a good sense of humor! I was recommended by my cardiologist and I couldn't be happier I really feel he will get to the cause of my breathing problems, so many on site procedures that stop you having to run around to get blood work , ecg and breathing tests, I must say I was really impressed with Dr Klein and his staff with the speed I was seen and the friendliness of everybody involved. read more

Life is too short to work with Doctors who dont give a crap about their patients. One reviewer hit it spot on. He will come in to see a patient and spent as little time as possible with them so he doesnt have to talk to anyone. He NEVER remembers seeing them in the past or what he prescribed for them in the 1st place. Pompous attitude all around. He wants his check and he is done. Worst medical experience by far. The staff are rude and act like you are inconveniencing them by asking them to book an appointment or receive medical records. Dr. Ryan Klein does not listen to a thing you are saying when the patient is asked why you are there. He gave me a sample inhaler and a pat on the back and said you'll be fine. When I tried switching Drs within the same building, I was told I cannot switch and it is impossible. Stay far away if unless you would like to waste time and money. read more

Calls to the office for routine issues are handled quickly and satisfactorily. Dr. Ryan Klein is an exceptional physician who is well-trained, knowledgeable, and attuned to his patients. Examinations are thorough and comprehensive. Dr. Klein gave Robert the necessary orthopedic referral which really saved my brother's life. Careful record keeping which ensures patients get the care they need is a priority with this office. All facets of the appointment time such as patient concerns, needs, issues, treatment, referrals and recommendations are documented. The front office is rude . They don't want to help in any way put you on hold for 5 or 10 minutes at a time the doctor won't give you any referrals unless you come and see him so he can get his office fees and their attitude is if you don't like the way we run our business go find another doctor that's what I was told after being a client for over 10 years I suggest that they get a new front office people with better attitudes it's a shame I used to think Ryan Klein was a great doctor read more
