We come to Klein's 6 days a week, numerous times daily. This place runs on point, top dollar (I've never ever been jipped) staff is awesome, they really know how to get you in and out. Brian at the window, can't say enough good things about him. Just sit there and watch them work, you'll see how smooth an operation they run! If you're not a scrapper, if you come here, they will help you, they will guide you through it. That is what I honestly see when I'm sitting here half my day. If you have questions just pick a new place to go. The woman who answers the phone has zero customer service. She mumbles so you can't hear her, and god forbid you answer the wrong thing she'll get even more mad. All this just to get told on you're actually too far were cancelling your request. I called ahead because I heard they'd take my old BBQ grill...the man answering the phone was polite and helpful...told me to bring it over and drop it off. Since the old grill is quite aged, most of the screws were rusting and it was generally difficult to dissemble, so I simply took an 8lb sledge hammer to it and put all the pieces in the back of the SUV. Upon arriving it's a little confusing for a novice, but I walked to the customer window and they gave me directions (weigh the truck on the way in, dump the grill - it wasn't clear were to dump it as there are massive piles of stuff everywhere, but I asked and was pointed to the correct pile - weigh the truck on the way out, get paid). It's almost like a scene from Mad Max...heavy machinery moving everywhere, cars moving through the air in the grasp of claws/cranes whatever devices, sparks flying from someone welding...basically yield to anything and everyone moving/driving and you'll be fine. The whole process took less than 10 minutes...and instead of paying the garbage company to take the grill, I got $5.40 for my effort. Just a side note - I scrolled the prior reviews...some of the ppl who left 1 star...75% of the reviews they have written are 1 star...something to consider. read more

This place is THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS WHEN IT COMES TO SELLING JUNK CARS. These people made me set up a pick up a day after I wanted it picked up incurring storage fees at a tow yard and then 30 mins before the agent called saying that there driver wouldn't be able to get into the yard because of some needed certification ( which is BS because it's a private business not a state run business) there so unprofessional they don't even know what there talking about when they lie. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY THEYLL JUST MAKE U REGRET IT. Not sure what these one and two star reviews are about. You arrive at the yard, pull straight though weight your vehicle and state your name. You then proceed to the back of the yard to dump your scrap. Once finished you come back to the front weight in again, and then pull of to the side. Get out of your vehicle and walk to the weight station window where they pay you for your scrap. read more

Even though my pickup and its tiny load was a minnow swimming among whales, they were very courteous, guided me along, and paid what seems like fair prices for scrap steel and copper. This place is ridiculous they call and tell you a time they will pick up your car but don't show up until over an hour later & the people on the phone are rude telling me it's not their problem why their driver is late. I went to M & A Recycling and Klein Recycling on back to back days (7/25/18 and 7/26/18) primarily to compare prices paid on the same material, in my case heavy steel: - M & A paid nine cents ($0.09) per pound - Klein paid eight cents ($0.08) per pound M & A is my preference as I felt it safer due to the one way flow of traffic: enter through one gate, get weighed, unload, exit the yard via another gate, then come back in again for final weigh in. Klein is crazy busy with large forklifts, dump trucks, and tractor trailers all moving about the yard. All this activity added significant time to get in/out. read more

Big waste of time and not pleasant people. The initial phone call to set up the appointment was polite and friendly. I was given a 4 hour window for a pick-up, but no one showed up or called. When I called the employee was rude and told me there truck broke down. When I asked if another truck would come out they gave me another five hour window. When I asked for a more accurate time I was told that they would probably not show up that day and would reschedule for another day. I was then told that they could just cancel the pick-up altogether. Which I did after the rudeness of the employee. I then called Frane Recycling, who gave me a time and date and showed up ten minutes early. Polite, efficient and the best price. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Klein Recycling and Peddle.com who use Klein for the pick-ups. read more

i'm not sure how true these reviews are but i had a good experience with klein recycling. i sold my car online to peddle & they called them to come and pick up my car for me. it was easy & the guy that towed my car made me feel comfortable and less sad about towing my very first car but 5 stars for me read more

they were assigned through Peddle.com and offered a lot less then the contracted price for a JUNK/DAMAGED car, were not on time 11-2pm schedule (I had to get my kids from school 2:45) and didn't care. Called to reschedule and refused to take the car because I ended up removing the catalytic converters, 1 week after, to recoup my losses (states in Peddle contract that parts from engine were removed but the heads and block were there). The converters were in when I scheduled the original pickup and the day they came (LATE) to get the car, so that's not the reason they offered a lowered price. I took off half a day of work to wait for them to be an hour late..... Wasted MY TIME, lost money and now have a dead car in my driveway. Peddle reassigned another scrap yard, fingers crossed. I will say that the tow truck drivers were REALLY COOL!!! as Klein did pickup another vehicle from me prior, with NO issues....wont ever do business with them. everything here is FACT, see the other feedback on yelp, im not alone...... read more

I have been bringing small amounts of scrap in my mini-van to Klein for several years. I come here with my teenage son about three times a month. I'm usually in and out quickly with no hassles. Never had any problem with numerous staff I've met, most of whom have been pretty courteous and professional. I check around and compare prices. Sometimes there's a little variation but mostly they seem to pay about what others pay, or sometimes a bit more. The only negative: sometimes there's a line for small lots of nonferrous metals, especially on Saturday mornings, and unloading takes time cuz you have to back down a ramp into the building to get to the loading dock. Other than that, no complaints. read more

This was the biggest waste of my time and fuel to take my metal here. They always rip you off but say they are paying you top dollar. Pfff top dollar my ass. I will never come back here ever again. Employees are total jerk offs as well. read more
