When spending over $40,000 on a vehicle, there are certain expectations. One would be that your vehicle would come with 2 key fobs. For an extra $600 I could have "purchased" one. You would also expect that if you discovered an exhaust leak within the first week of owning the vehicle that there would be an effort to work with you to fix it? There again, for an extra $1800 they would happily replace the exhaust. The speedometer was also not calibrated for the tires that were on the vehicle and was told there was nothing they could do to calibrate correctly. Then to top it off, when I brought the truck in for its first routine service appointment (oil change/tire rotation) I discovered that the plug I put in the rear passenger tire just a week prior was still in the same location. Hmm? I do believe there is a consumer protection act that this dealership should be concerned about. The letter has been drafted. They treat you great until the paperwork is signed and the check is cashed, after that, you are merely someone they suckered into buying a vehicle. I had to have body work done because of a fender bender I had been involved in. I have received excellent service. I dealt with the collision manager Matt. He was courteous and explained everything to me. Sent me up dates as to the process delivered a rental to me and picked up my vehicle and brought it back when the car was done. I would go 0 starts with this if I could. We went in for an AC diag and my wife was quoted 100.00 if we didn't go through with the repairs. She waited to talk to me and we agreed we would wait. When my wife went to pay the bill, it was now magically 244.00 because "ac diag is a different cost". Not only that, but originally quoted us 1600.00 for the ac core in the rear blower to be replaced. They said "we have the parts in stock and could have it fixed in 1.5 hours". You have to remove the seat, the interior panel, drain the system and then replace it all. In 1.5 hours?! Another shop quotes us 6.5 hours. This place is a complete scam and when you don't agree to do their outrageously priced work, they hit you on the back end for the diagnostic bill. DO NO DO SERVICE HERE. read more

Was just in their service dept for an oil change and tire rotation on my vehicle. The vehicle has just under 30,000 miles on it and according to the service schedule in the owners manual this was the only service due at this time and mileage however when I checked in I was told by the service manager that based on the cars mileage it also needs to have the fuel injectors and valves cleaned at this time . I told him I was unaware of that service being due and that I really didnt have the additional 1.5 hours he said would be required to have it done right now since i was planning on waiting for the job and had other appointments later that morning. I told him I would consider having it taken care of some other time and he asked me again if I was sure I didnt have the time to take care of it right now and when I told him I really dont have the time he said that he would then have to put a note in my file that I have declined to have required maintenance work done right now almost as if to imply that it may be something that could be used against me at some point in time or not look good in my service records ? I rechecked my maintenance schedule again when I got home and still could find no mention at all of ever needing to service the fuel injectors and I also called another GM dealer and asked what they thought about cleaning injectors at 30,000 miles and at a cost of about $260.00 and they told me they suggest it at 30,000 but it is certainly not a requirement nor would they put a note it in my file if I decided not to have it done at exactly 30,000 miles. So its clear the service manager at Klein Chevrolet was trying to up sell additional services they make a ton of money on by making it sound like this is a service that is required by GM and that I would not be properly taking care of my vehicle is I didnt have it done immediately. Future car buyers beware as I just wanted to share my recent customer service experience with Klein Automotive out of Clintonville, Wisconsin. We all work hard for our money, and all want to feel valued by companies especially when we are spending large sums of money at their location. Klein Automotive has had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My issue dates back almost a year to the day. After searching the Northeast Wisconsin area for a used Chevy Tahoe, the one I liked the most was a 2013 Chevy Tahoe LTZ at Klein Automotive. I walked in and the first person I met happened to be a salesperson, Matt Rindt. The sales experience was normal and my wife and I came in the following week to purchase the vehicle. This is where things started to get interesting. As I signed all the appropriate paperwork, I specifically asked that I get a spare key and a key fob for the vehicle. Matt agreed and gave me a spare key, but told me they would have to mail me a key fob as they do not have one in stock. I figure this should not be a problem, and I will have my key fob in less than a week, so I finish my paperwork and leave with my new vehicle. Less than three weeks after buying the vehicle, my entire radio/sound system goes out. I call the dealership and tell them about the issue. They originally said that this issue is not covered and that I would be responsible for the costs. I then began to go through all the warranty paperwork and found that this issue was covered, so I had to make the 90-minute round-trip drive to the dealer a second time for this issue to go over the warranty paperwork and then they finally said they would cover the repairs. The sheer fact that they tried to fight repairing this issue should have been a red flag that they do not stand behind their products or the sales that are made at the dealership. Now fast forward to the present, and I finally have to use the spare key that I was given because I misplaced my master key. I use the spare key to unlock the car door and put the key in the ignition. The key will turn the ignition, but will not start the vehicle. Needless to say, I was shocked that the only spare key that was given to me would not work, and now I was going to be late for work. Luckily, I was able to find my master key and get to work on time. That afternoon I called the salesperson, Matt, to explain the issue and he had no idea that the key did not work (he actually told me twice that he does not know much about keys for the vehicles he sells, key fobs, and costs associated with them). I figured this would be an easy fix, but I was wrong. The first thing that Matt says to me is "Ben I'm still looking for a key fob for you." It has been almost a year and he still had not sent me my key fob that I was promised during the sale. He said he was waiting for a Chevy Tahoe with the correct key fob to go to a salvage yard, so that they could reuse the key fob and mail it to me. I asked him why he just did not order one, and Matt said that is not what they do at Klein Automotive. At no point did he ever mention that I would be getting a used key fob or that I would have to wait roughly a year or longer to get the key fob during the sales process. He told me that it would be about a week or two at most before I received my key fob. Somehow I moved passed the key fob issue because the main issue I had was that my only spare key did not work, but he told me I had to speak with one of the managers, but that they were out of the office and I needed to call back the following day. The following day I call and spoke with the manager at Klein Automotive, Rick Koeller, and describe what happened. Again, I thought was going to be an easy fix, but instead he basically just laughed at me and told me it was my fault that the spare key did not work. He said that if I had figured out that the spare key did not work in the first week after the purchase that they would cover it. I asked him if he uses his spare key on a weekly basis, and he said no. He then suggested that I should use my spare key for some odd reason. He also told me that "most of the dealers in the area do not issue spare keys for used vehicle purchases." I did not believe that statement since I have purchased several used boats and vehicles from dealers, and I have always been issued at least one spare key. My wife and I were looking at purchasing a bigger SUV as we have outgrown her 2015 Ford Escape. We really liked some of the 2017 Buick SUV's that Klein had on their lot; however, we will not be purchasing another vehicle from them. We will spend our money elsewhere, and I suggest you do the same to prevent having to deal with their lack of commitment to the vehicles they sell and the customers they sell to. read more

Unfortunately I gave Klein's the benefit of the doubt after I was warned what a bunch of scammers they are! Third and final time I have left paying big money and the problem unresolved! Four days after I left Kleins I was almost stranded in Green Bay with the same issue only $420 down the drain! I brought my car back just to discover that there was magically a new issue that has occurred in the last four days! Surprise Surprise!!! What's worse, Josh, the service department manager looked me right in the eye and told me the engine light turned on and wasn't on four days prior when fixing the car! The engine light has been on for two months!!! Come on guys.... this kind of work is what gives car dealerships a bad name! I'm a dental hygienist so I come in contact with a lot of people! They will certainly hear about my experience and my warning to stay far away from Klein's Automotive in Clintonville!!!! Save yourself some money, GO TO POMPS down the road!!! Unfortunately I was in a bind and Klein's said they could fit my car in the same day which also ended up being untrue!!! read more

I have serviced my SUV at kleins for the past year and a half. My most recent visit was very disappointing. I took my SUV in for what I was told was a simple problem should take a hour to fix. I got it back four days later and was told it took 6 hours but they discounted the labor. It seemed to me that they had to pin point the problem and it took longer then expected. I understand at times this can happen no big deal. The thing I was disappointed about was when I picked up my SUV there was a 20 inch crack across my windshield that positively was not there when I brought it in. The impact mark was fresh and white. I was told they would check it out and call me back. I Never received a phone call. I called them I was told they would call back. After a week I called them again. I was told by Kleins that it was there when I dropped it off. When I asked them to look on there cameras I was told they do not have any!! The service guy sat in my car when I brought it in. Clearly if there was a crack that big in my windshield they would have noticed. There was no time or date on the inspection sheet. Kleins refused to fix my windshield telling me they believe the person who worked on my car and he said the crack was there. I told them I would never service my SUV with them again and I was told "that is the chance we will have to take." Very poor way to do business. I would not recommend this service department to anyone again. Especially now knowing they clam to not have cameras Leaving them not responsible if something happens to your vehicle while in the shop or outside in there parking lot. However I have an excellent window repair company I give 5 stars too! read more
