I asked them to come and clean my dryer vent. On the day they said they would come they called and said they could not come and would come tomorrow. I waited for hours on promised day and the next and they never came. I could not use my clothes dryer as it stated the vent was plugged up. I have no clue what their reasons were as they never told me. I ended up doing the job myself. I gave them one star because there was no any lower than that. They finally made it and did the job. Works now. read more

I'm very disappointed and sadly in the "you get what you pay for" camp. I found this company online and when I called, they quoted me $99 per flue, plus same for dryer vent. Then I looked again online and saw $89 per. They said they'd honor that price. They said the basement fireplace flue was really dirty (really? I haven't used it in maybe 12 years!) They asked if they could unplug something to plug in their shop vac, and I pointed them to an open outlet (don't unplug the Wi-Fi booster). They didn't bother to ask downstairs- they just unplugged my Wi-Fi and phone! Then I was dumbfounded by how quickly they cleaned both flues, (just a simple brush and shop vac?! I could do that!) Then they asked for a garbage bag. Isn't this your job? Shouldn't you have those supplies with you? They didn't move the dryer; they just did the vent from the outside. (Is that sufficient?) The next day, I saw that they dumped the garbage bag of ash, loose nitrile gloves and booties in my yard waste bin! Oh, and their website boasts 5 star Google review and "5 stars based on 342 reviews". In what universe?! read more

KleenGreen - Air Duct Cleaning Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. Their customer service staff is rude on the phone and they don't even respond to emails unless it involves booking a service. I had my dryer vent cleaned and the technician that they assigned to the job didn't clean the outside vent because he said that the hose was disconnected and that he'd have to cut through the stucco to reconnect it, which would cost between $500 and $2,000. He even told me to book this service directly through him rather than Kleen Green because they would charge me more. I got a second opinion because this assessment sounded odd, and the technician provided video proof that there was nothing wrong with the hose and that it was just short. The technician from Kleen Green didn't even clean the outside vent, but still charged me full price due to false allegations that a hose that has no issues needed to be reconnected. I called the company multiple times and even requested to speak to managers because the fact that they work with technicians who make false claims for greater profit is alarming. What's even worse is that their staff is so rude and dismissive that it makes me believe that this company is a complete scam. Avoid Kleen Green at all costs! This website link is connected to this terrible company: https://kleengreen.org/index.php read more

I originally hired Kleen Green to clean my dryer vents. After sending Kleen Green (also dba "America Air Duct Cleaning") photos of my laundry room and my stacked units, they provided me a quote. But when Kleen Green arrived, they doubled their quote. (It felt like the classic bait and switch and zip-code-based pricing.) Worse, they ended up charging me close to $900 to clean out two dryer vents. Several months later, I saw tons of lint coming from behind the machine. When I called Kleen Green, they said their work was no longer under warranty. They said I needed to call within weeks of their cleaning (before the accumulation of new lint became noticeable from the front) in order for them to stand by their work. At this point, my appliance store recommended I call Dryer Vent Wizard, who told me that Kleen Green had reattached the vent hoses improperly. Dryer Vent Wizard had tools and gauges to ensure that the vents were reattached properly and air/ lint wasn't leaking. Overall, it felt like a much more honest and professional experience. I tried to find the original review / website I used to select KleenGreen and couldn't find it anywhere. I did see a listing for KleenGreen in another state over 1000 miles away. This makes me wonder if it's a fraud that just moves around the country to take advantage of people. read more

If you see this lweb site ( https://kleengreen.org) DO NOT HIRE THEM. They do not have their own technicians, they hire subcontractors. Last year I hired this KLEENGREEN.ORG. The technician promissed that If I do a full air duct cleaning, than the next year would be just a regular one. I hired them again this year, going for a regular one. Guess what this OTHER SUBCONTRACTOR said a totally different story. I thought I would pay $99 but ended up $198 because the vent was fully clogged. At this point looks to me that these subcontractors (GHOSTS) are a bunch of liars and this company is part of it.FRAUD. They do charge you extra fee if you pay credit card. Terrible read more

At 4pm finally got a response that the tech was at another job and would not be coming today. Appointment was rescheduled fir 8 am the next day. No show at 8 am again. Called and was told tech would call me. After 25 minutes of waiting fir tech to call I called office asked for corporate number never got it. Tech then called and he did get there around 10am. Two men came out to clean my dryer vent. Quoted $99. They arrived and said we needed a deep clean for $500! They spoke Russian to each other and I got a bad vibe so asked them to leave. Called another company and they came out and did the work for $150! Do not use this company. Scammers read more

They promised a chimney sweep and inspection for $99. They did not do a chimney sweep and after a 5 minute inspection they gave us a bid for $1,000. They also did not come on the day scheduled when I was there. They came on a Sunday and collected the $100 from my son who did not know that they were suppose to do a sweep as part of the price. When called, they refused to come back and finish the job or return our money. read more

I fell victim to the old bait and switch. I called about the $99 special and was told that was for a complete dryer vent cleaning. My vent wasn't clogged and I just got a new dryer so wanted the vent cleaned. It was confirmed by the technician that my vent wasn't clogged and the $99 was just to clean the lint (NOT using a brush) that was in the vent, but to actually do a REAL cleaning (WITH a brush) I would have to pay almost double ($178). Please don't fall for the okey-doke and this deception is very disheartening. I would have thought that dryer vent cleaning would at the minimum include using a brush to go down in the vent. DO NOT USE. RUDE AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. These folks did Dryer Vent clean at my current home during the sale process. My seller provided the receipt from this company which stated 1 year warranty. Receipt was not clearly filled including the customer name was left blank. 3.5 months after I moved into the home the dryer vent flap fell off and i noticed it was taped back on after being broken. To make it worse a bird got in and got stuck in the Vent. My father took the bird out for us. Called the company to do a clean so that we are not exposed to anything hazardous to our health. Gentlemen who did original clean came out and was extremely rude. He was very defensive and started shouting at me from inside my home. I had to ask him to leave. He mentioned you are not the customer. I stated I own the property and the receipt has warranty written on it with NO CUSTOMER filled in. I said I will speak with manager. Called office and asked if manager or owner can contact me. No call back and I called again. Another guy picked up and he appeared to have been looped in by the guy that came out. I explained to him everything and he immediately became defensive. Stated unless you are calling for service we wont do anything for you as you are not the customer. Told me do not call him and hung up the phone. Terrible customer service and almost threatening as the consumer how these guys treat people. They did not honor the invoice they provide. I called for a valid problem with the service and best thing they could have done was come out and do a quick clean so that me and my family feel comfortable. Will never use or recommend. read more

I wish would give a try with this company when I first called to schedule an appointment. However, customer service is awful and disrespectful. I wish I had seen the reviews here before. So I just google it and seem to have good reviews and affordable prices. So first they change my appointment 2 times. So my appointment was moved 1 week later from the original date. Then a guy came to the house and told me that the $80 cleaning service won't do it at my dryer vent and he had to use chemicals. The price went from $80 to $367. To be fair I have been without a dryer for a long time and it is a hard place to work on. And at the end the messed up the dryer vent pipeline and put a lot of duct tape to fix it. Which he told me that was safe but I just read that it is not. He still said that I needed a new one and he could install it for $80. I just bought that vent pipeline in June when they fixed the washing machine. It was new and he messed up and could put it back again. read more

I contacted this company when they had a $99 chimney cleaning offer on their website. Two nice young men arrived and cleaned the chimney, and inspected the exterior. The price ended up being $350 plus tax because I was informed I needed an advanced cleaning due to the length of time between cleanings. I was also informed that the cement around the chimney was damaged and I needed a custom sized chimney cap, all of which would total over $800. I paid for the cleaning and a downpayment on the additional work. I never heard from them again. When I called the company, they said someone would contact me within 3-4 days, which did not happen. The service man did not respond to my texts or calls. The payment was sent to someone's personal Venmo account rather than to Kleen Green by name. I have learned a lesson from this. I hope sharing this helps others. read more

Total ripoff. Same as other reviews $99 dryer vent cleaning. Was told $99 for a dryer vent cleaning. All they did was push air through the vent, which is basically what our dryer does when running. No agitation. Then told us it would be $350 more to run a brush through it. read more

Zero stars. A couple of young men came out to clean our furnace ducts. The internet deal was $199, but due to a foul smell in the ducts they talked me into a $750 cleaning, "for your health, for your allergies", etc. I asked many questions, checked reviews, and finally agreed. They were finished in 45 minutes. I was unable to watch, but I'm sure they did nothing other than hook up a vacuum to one vent. The smell is worse than before. Just don't buy it. read more

I do NOT recommend and would prefer to give no star. The price quoted was way above the average (my fault for not researching more). Sam did not tell us until he was well into the job that he would only take cash or credit card, the latter requiring a 3% fee. He said our vent in the attic was cut and needed to be replaced, even though we've never had any service there (hum). He also told us the name of his company was "ADC," not Kleen Green. We called to voice our concerns, hoping he would make the situation right; he hung up on us. We paid cash: I wonder what the IRS would think about the cash/credit card policy? read more

Wow, bad reviews all the way around. I wished I had done my research before calling - but I was in a hurry because I needed to get my house on the market. Tech came up in an unmarked van. He was pushy, berated me for not cleaning my vent more, and asked why I hadn't done regular maintenance. I finally told him that I know I should have cleaned my vent more and asked him to just do his job. He seemed to have a problem getting the brush head all the way into the vent, complaining about bends in the pipe, and then asked me about the venting layout in the home. I told him I had no idea. Then he told me that he might have to blow a chemical up the pipe to dissolve the blockage, which would cost "a little more." He never did that, but upped the price when he was finished - to the tune of about $120 more than the original quote! Admittedly, he worked for about an hour but never stopped to tell me how much it was going to cost for the extra work (he also kept leaving my front door open when he went in and out). After the quote, I let him know my displeasure, and then he wanted to negotiate with me. I finally got him down about 40 bucks from his inflated price, at which time he said it was all "just a misunderstanding." Another review noted that this company has several different "aliases." I had to Google the phone # on the invoice and do a little detective work, but it looks like "Kleen Green" also goes under the name of "A-1." My recommendation: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

I stupidly went for an internet deal I saw with this company for an inspection and cleaning of my chimney. The person was late, they did a very cursory inspection, then told me the work would be more than twice as much. Then the person left the house a sooty mess. Scheduled service for dryer vent cleaning . They had Their $199 fee marked on website down to $99. When the guy came out advised me vent was so bad needed a deep cleaning and that would be $350. Then he advised me to make the check out to LocksmithforU. Totally different company. Very creepy. When I called their customer service the girl advised price would depend on what was needed to be done. Asked why payment was made to a different company? Her response was we use others to do the work. I recommend not using this company. read more

Do not use this company!! 1. They advertise a $99 chimney sweep and then if anything needs repair I'll repair it on site for the additional fee. 2. On arrival to my home I was told it would be $350 + tax because my chimney was deeper than 9 feet and he had to extend his cleaning rod. The brush at the end of the rod looks more like four wire prongs. 3. I contested this as this is not what was advertised, yet I needed my chimney cleaned and consented in the end. 4. After the chimney sweep was done and he needed entry into my house to vacuum out the fireplace, he asked me for my own garbage bag and an extension cord for the dry vac. I would normally not care about anything like that but because I already had the sense that this was a scam it only affirmed my feelings. 5. After he left and I attempted to use my fireplace the next day smoke continued to pour out of the fireplace. Between my father and I two days later with our own dry vac and cleaning out all of the soot and debris managed to clean it ourselves. This was the biggest rip off I have ever experienced. 6. When you try to call the phone number you're given the complete runaround and told that the technician is their own boss. They ask if you still have their number, which of course you don't because it's an out-of-state number and Lord knows how many of those we get on the daily from spam. To top it off when you ask for the technicians phone number then to call yourself they won't give it to you. For the love of everything good in this world, do not use this company!!!! read more

If I could give this company a 0 rating, I would. They were called out to my 85 year old step-mom's house for the $99 dryer vent cleaning special and charged her $825 after telling her she needed deep cleaning and a special coating put in the vent. Instead of writing a check to Kleen Green (which was hand written on a generic invoice), they insisted the check be written to JP Cleaning. This week an inspector noticed the dryer vent was in pieces and not connected inside the attic at all. When the company was called to ask about it, the manager-Alex refused to help or answer questions and further told me he would "find me and see if I was as bold in person as I was on the phone", and that he would "look up my phone number to find out who I am". Not only did this manager threaten me, this company (including a woman office manager) committed elder abuse, bait and switch, and treated both me and my Step-mom atrociously, hanging up on both of us when we were just trying to ask questions about their business practices. Avoid at all cost! read more

1) They gave me a 2pm to 5pm window for the appointment. I do not live in the place so i had to go there and wait three hours.( Chimney cleaning) 2) At 5pm they call me to say they will be 45 minutes late. 3) Finally a very young guy arrives to do the chimney sweep job as requested. 4) His car is parked in front of my driveway and I see no ladder on it. 5) He comes into my apartment ( First floor) and enquires how he can climb on to the roof. I told him to go around the house and figure it out him self. 6) Comes back and says he cannot climb to the top but from below he has taken some pictures with his camera and determined that the chimney is all in good condition. ( Absolute nonsense). 7) Since he could not get to the top of the chimney I asked him to clean what ever he could from the bottom fireplace. 8) He told me that the Chimney sweep special price( $99) advertised was for only cleaning the fireplace and the damper ( some thing I could do my self and finally did with my shop vac). I cannot understand how a chimney cleaning service advertised does not include cleaning the chimney. This is outright fraud. 9) The technician then offered to clean the chimney for some thing like $ 285 versus the $99 special quoted. 10) When I declined, he said he would speak with his manager and get back with me. Got on his phone walked out and never came back. i never heard again from him. 11) Two days later I called the original Kleen Green office number 415-384-5659 and spoke with a person Denise who said she could not help me but would have the manager call me back within a day. They showed up on time to clean out my dryer vent. They went into the attic because they were having some trouble with their tools. They took apart the pipes to finish up the lint removal. When we went into the attic, there was condensation/water all over and the duct tape was coming off. Called to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude and said no way was it the work they did. He didn't even offer to come inspect the work or damage. Our house is on the market and had the inspection done by the new buyers the week before. Zero stars. I found an old receipt from this company from 2019 and thought I would add a review to make sure I had at least done that. At the time I was so mad I could not see straight! This company obviously is a scam and like others who have reviewed them, I wished I had investigated and researched more. The owner/contractor I dealt with seemed fine before the job - seemed knowledgeable and the price was fine. I needed a 20 year cleaning and cracks fixed, so I knew it would be pricey. At the time I asked over and over if I would need to cover anything in my house or take any precautions. He assured me NO - not even my white bedspread in my bedroom where I have a fireplace. - NO m'am we have in handled. I should have just covered everything. In any case, after he used a harsh chemical to break up the mess in my chimney, my whole house was full of soot (I still am fiding it in 2023). It settled everywhere all the way into the kitchen and up to the front door. I have a pretty big house. There was a huge soot spot on the carpet, and in one room he found a dead wasp nest about 6 inches up inside the flue and basically touched it and it fell down. I could have done that. He charged me $195 after the fact without asking me - but swore I gave him the go ahead. Ridiculous. After they left and I had a chance to really survey all the damage and freaked out I called the main number - he answered and I asked (stupidly) for customer service. Nope, he is/was it. (so if you call the number on the website which is still the same number today that is just this guy's cell phone). We had a very contentious chat and I hung up because I was losing my Southern lady cool. He even told me I should NOT DARE to cancel payment because he would get his money "one way or another." So now you are going to threaten a lady over the phone? I called back and asked him to come out and please look. He did come out the next afternoon, and I put on my best teacher voice and lectured him /explained everything I felt was not correct. I explained you do NOT threaten women. I told him I felt so threatened that I had taken a picture of his car, his license plate, and him. I talked to him about customer service and that if someone has an issue it is normal to want to find out about that and try to fix it - NOT tell the customer they are just wrong. He still told me rudely after I pointed out the huge soot stain on my carpet and soot everywhere on all my carpets, that he was not going to clean my carpets for FREE!!! (He also owned the carpet cleaning service) How dare I ask, even though HE ruined it! He said he might clean the spot if I showed it to him to which I replied that I would never ever let him do ANYTHING in my home again and suggested politely that maybe he was crazy to even think that. I was so gobsmacked by his comment I had to laugh. HAHA. At that point I was so sickly sweet and just would not let him leave - HE got mad. He did NOT like a woman telling him ANYTHING. So as I knew I had messed up by hiring him and that I would get no money back (just not worth it sometimes especially when you realize that the "contract" you signed is CRAP) I did the next best thing: I wasted his time as best I could. He had come all the way across Dallas and I made him listen to me for over an hour and then he was in 5:00 traffic. At the end of the "chat" he started lecturing me (mansplaining) about how I should use him to clean the carpets because my very trustworthy carpet service did not know how to clean carpets correctly and of course HE did. WHAT?I I tell you what - if I was not raised better I would have just LOST IT. So I share this very embarrassing story of my rushing into a service out of frustration and NOT doing my research so that someone else might know to really investigate these companies and heed the warning signs - can't find them anywhere else on the web? no other reviews other than their fake website? they pick up the phone on the first ring and are immediately available the next day when everyone else in Dallas has a 2 -3 week waitlist to even come out to give a quote? It is embarrassing when you are a smart, well-educated professional person and you fall for something. Live and learn and move on. We all make that one costly mistake sometimes, and are better for it. Hopefully this will help someone to skip past this "ghost" company name or whatever they are and avoid whatever scheme they have going in whatever cities they are listed. read more
