Dr Kleen and his staff are the best!!!! I was visiting out of town and needed a last minute prescription filled for contacts. Dr Kleen and his staff went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. What amazed me the most was that his generosity and time spent was of no benefit to him (I live 5 hrs away). Which goes to show what a great person he is. This is the place to go for your eye care needs!!!! read more

I've been going to my local Walmart Vision Center quite awhile now. My first impression of Dr Kleen was that he was a bit detached but professional, but later during and after the exam, he was much warmer towards me. I felt he was well trained. The exam itself was pretty speedy, but thorough. He helped me decide which type of lens would be best in my rather peculiar situation (nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other), so it made the task of choosing my lens type much easier, also saving my time. I'm not complaining about the fact that Dr Kleen is at the vision center just twice a week; that's just how businesses do things now. And of course I don't need to see him often. I will return to his office for future exams. read more

I was very happy to find a new optometrist that could fit myself and my teen son in quite quickly. With the state of the country, doctors have been sadly backed up, and pushing appointments out for almost 2 1/2 to 3 months. Well, my son's glasses were broken completely and he hadn't seen a doctor in two years. Therefore his other optometrist could not give him his prescription because it was very likely his prescription had changed. Enter Dr. Kleen. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. My son and I got our appointments on the same day just a half an hour apart. Dr. Kleen made sure his equipment was sterilized before using them on me. He was very thorough, and professional during our appointment, and let me know that my eyes had changed a little. Dr. Kleen is well trained and it shows. He is also very personable, and was very kind to me and my son. When Dr. Kleen is taking your exam, he is very serous. After the exam, he does loosen up and that's a good thing because the last thing I want is a jokester during my exam. Peoples eyes are a serious thing, and Dr. Kleen handles it all so beautifully. He, and his assitant were so very helpful in helping me and my son find the right glasses. I just want to say, "Thank you Dr. Kleen for helping me and my son." We will be back for future appointments. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Steven K.

Dr. Steven Kleen graduated summa cum laude from Southern California College of Optometry in May 2015. Prior pursuing a career in eye care, Dr. Kleen played five seasons of professional baseball with the Oakland Athletics. Steven grew up in Temecula, California and went to Chaparral High School. He attended Pepperdine University where he played Division I baseball. He was honored as a Division I All American and Academic All-American as well as Pepperdine Scholar Athlete of the Year. Dr. Kleen graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine. When he is not seeing patients, Steven enjoys surfing, biking, and spending quality time with his wife and 3 children. In regards to eye care, his interests include specialty contact lens fitting & Ortho K, ocular disease treatment and management, and sports vision. Dr Steven Kleen was honored with the Practice Excellence Award by VSP for his commitment to private practice optometry. Kleen optometry is now open inside the Lompoc Walmart.

I was not disappointed, Dr Pinhkeo was very nice and professional as always. The clinic has more selection of glasses compare to others in Lompoc, though a little bit more expensive. Special mention to Roger who fixed my eye glasses and who is the nicest and really go above and beyond, he's a reason now that i will be sticking with Clear Vision from now on.

Taketa Danl were super helpful and friendly. Not only did they have my prescription, but they generously gave me 2 pairs of lenses for free to tide me over until I got back to SF, along with a new case and a bottle of solution. I had been way overdue for an eye exam, and I was completely out of contact lenses. I walked in this morning to make an appointment, but the receptionist said that Dr. Kleen could see me today, in a few minutes. Dr. Kleen did a complete eye exam, explained the results, including the photographs he took of my eyes, and then issued my prescription for new contact lenses. Dr. Kleen was very professional but personable; very easy to talk to, and he encouraged any questions I might have. His receptionist was very helpful and friendly. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience, and being able to complete my exam and get my prescription TODAY was an unexpected bonus! Great doctor! Great office! Thanks, Dr. Kleen! read more

Dr. kleen is awesome! I was working near by and stopped by to see if they were taking walk in's. They squeezed me in right then which was during my lunch break and took great care of me. Super friendly and very thorough! We had a great talk about music and by the end I felt like I stopped by to talk with a friend. The receptionist was very nice as well. Internet was giving them a hard time and I could tell she felt bad and was trying her best to take care of me. I'll defiantly be back for my next check up! read more

Dr Kleen and his office are the best! Both my daughter and I visit him yearly for our eye exams. Dr Kleen is amazing at explaining each step he takes. He will also inform you about research studies regarding anything with the eyes, and is just SO helpful. He was wonderful, kind, and patient with my 9 year old. I highly recommend him! Oh and the front office is just as wonderful too! read more

Dr. Kleen is friendly, professional and efficient. He understood the issues I am having with my eyes, and gave me personal, helpful suggestions on things I could do to improve the situation. I had not had an eye examination for many years and was somewhat nervous about the results. Dr. Kleen did a thorough examination and reassured me that my eyes were healthy! I would highly recommend Dr. Kleen. I had a wood fragment embedded in my eye, and he got me in first thing in the morning and got it taken care of. The process was quick and painless. I believe he is the best optometrist in town! read more
