If you're trying to get to Ramstein AB from Frankfurt or Hahn, and you don't really want to do the…read moredriving for whatever reason... then Alex Airport Shuttle is the way to go. Or that's what everyone told me when I was planning my trip to Ramstein. So I took their advice. The drivers were prompt and friendly. I got to sit back, relax, and sleep on my way there....and chat with my new friend on the ride back. The convenience doesn't come cheap, and that's the only reason I'm only going 4 stars. It's a long trip, so I guess the fees are worth it, but OUCH! €85 roundtrip is a lotta chedda! (and that's the rate if you buy the roundtrip up front). You may be able to negotiate a lower rate if you're a group; I'm assuming that's why there are no rates posted on the site. (Speaking of long trip -- that's another point worth mentioning: this way might take you a little longer than driving if there are other stops to be made. That doesn't matter to me, though, because I usually take at least one wrong exit anyway.) Still, like I say, sometimes I just don't wanna do the driving (especially into/out of Frankfurt), and this option is certainly cheaper than hiring a taxi all the way out to the Ramstein area.

They've always been kind, understanding we were stressed and reliable. It was always a super experience. Now I would not recommend them! We booked them to pick us up after pcsing back into Ramstein with two kids and two dogs. The flight from Texas was delayed and the airport took awhile to deliver the dogs for pick up, so we arranged to pay for the driver to wait. We hurried to the pick up spot as quickly as we possibly could with all our bagage, two dogs, teen and toddler. It was an older gentleman and he was ANGRY. So so angry. He acted as if the delay had been caused by us. We apologized and told him we had talked to dispatch and had paid extra but he seemed so hung up on his anger. We packed the van ourselves while he went to sit in the driver's seat. We got our kids and dogs into the van ourselves. I also speak German and I understood what he was saying under his breath when we were packing up the van. The drive was not pleasant. He drove uncomfortably fast. The van was so hot and awful. We did not complain. We just wanted to get to our TLA without the drama. It was so awful and we were just shocked. It was a very negative experience.

Most people don't consider how expensive it is to get transportation from the airport to your hotel…read moreand vice versa. Thankfully, I found out about SIT BUS Shuttle and was able to pay a very very good price round trip from airport to hotel and hotel to airport. Their website has all the information and although has some English, you really have to pay attention and make sure you understand everything. I printed my passes and when we landed, unfortunately the passes didn't have any indication where the station was in the airport. With no free wifi at FCO I'm glad someone helped me find the station. It is on their website, but if you rely solely on your print out, it will not be there, so make sure you keep some kind of record of it if you can't get online at the airport. Basically its where all the shuttles line up at, over in Terminal 1 if I recall. There is a staff member there if you have questions, and spoke English. The bus is clean and spacious. There is plenty of room for luggage--even big checked luggage. They will transport that too included in the price you pay which is great. The ride was smooth and the cabin kept cool with AC. The only problem? The advertised WIFI never worked. Both times to the hotel, and back to the airport. Yes we were able to connect to the access point, but there was no actual internet connection. That is the ONLY reason I deducted a star, but I would use them again without hesitation, but I hope the internet not working was just a fluke, although happened (or in this case didn't happen) on 2 separate occasions spanning 4 days apart.
