He had one of his guys here the next day and they climbed on the roof, showed me photos of the damage, and a couple of other things our roofer in 2010 never took care of. Jacob was fair with his pricing and promised to have someone out the following day once the rain had stopped. The next morning his crew showed up right on time and got to work. Four hours later my roof was fixed and in better condition than it was previously. All in all very easy experience and Jacob's workers are pleasant. They also left no mess! They worked the first night very late doing demolition and just left. No goodbye. Splitsville. Then, they started to do the deck and left a piece of rotted wood underneath the trex?! I grabbed the guy and said what the hell? He gave excuses and then said the extra wood wasn't on the order. I said, I don't care. Make it right. Now the guy has attitude. The next day, he said his partner was sick. The next day, they're stuck in Hamptons, be there at 7. No shows that day. Then, they just showed up before I got home. I don't need to be the heavy at this point, Mrs S said you're fired. Don't come back. The manager calls the next day, apologizing up and down. He sent a new crew, sent over a chocolate basket and these guys did a great job with the tile work. The deck the first crew did? Was a mess. They put a rock on the bottom of the trex as the base and didn't add the extra wood as I requested. Now the manager is calling us back, we'll be there soon, I need the materials, I need the guys to free up their schedule, etc.. more importantly they left the demo container on my driveway for weeks. I knew the insulation in my attic was a mess and antiquated as my house was built around 1970(average for Long Island). One of my children's bedroom is over my two car garage and I had no idea what type(if any) of insulation was in the ceiling of the garage, under my daughters bedroom. My home is a splanch so I also have a half bathroom in the rear of the house, off the kitchen which was also always very cold but less worrisome since nobody slept in it. Chris and Kyle came in to do an audit, they are were professional, honest and efficient . They quickly identified the spots I mentioned and found even more spots where they can make a huge difference. We sat down and went over the options financially, how long it would take, if there would be holes in the Sheetrock etc. There was never any pressure and they answered all our questions professionally. He assured us that beside the garage, there would be no holes anywhere (in the garage they would spackle all the holes so all I had to do was touch up )and all the rest of the work would be from the outside and the attic. I have twin 2.5 year olds so timing was important, they promised me it would take 2 days max and they would even do one day on a Saturday to help us out. Install day came and they delivered everything they promised, and more! Their crew was professional, timely, efficient and left the place as clean as it was when they entered. To top it off, Chris and Kyle sent two crews to my house so they were able to get the job done in 1 full day. Chris and Kyle also personally stopped by to make sure the job was going smoothly. We were used to going into my daughters room when she woke up, and feeling the cold. After a month I called him and he hadn't don't anything, he said "oh I remember you, the PSEG stuff". He said he would contact be back. He never did. this time I called the office hoping to speak to Jill but the woman that answered said she would give Brian the message. I never heard from Brian again, I have NYSERDA still waiting and this company was a huge waste of time. So today October 13, I received a text from Crystal about a recent (December) visit with your Comfort Consultant to discuss insulation and how the visit went. She even asked if I'd like to move forward. How exactly was I supposed to to that when your Home Comfort Consultant abandoned my proposal and did nothing but get angry over the various programs.
