I also got some pants that had a rip fixed. The employees were nice, fast, and easy going and they had great communication. My dry cleaning was done the next day. The first dry cleaner I've used that put this much care into handling my vintage pieces. They hung my cardigan the best way to prevent stretching out the fabric at the shoulders and it's so nicely supported on the inside with neatly folded tissue paper. I'm so impressed with the level of care and detail. I have a huge vintage clothing collection that I'm very emotionally attached to and I'm glad to have found a dry cleaner I can trust to handle these pieces appropriately. Nick I think is always at the front desk? He's super nice always a pleasure to pick up and drop off my clothes with him. My clothes need repairs often because of their age and I'm surprised at how well Nick is able to record my requests for repair. Sometimes I'll have a dress that needs to be resewn in multiple places, he doesn't even seem to write it down but it's always perfectly addressed when I got them back. Let's be honest, I have trust issues so I often will use google + DIY videos to limp through life because I would rather mess it up myself than be hurt by someone else. That is until it comes to work related activities. I'm a professional professional so I seek out professionals near my office who are available around my working hours and accept American Express. Klassic Kleaners checks all the boxes! With the resurgence of events, I needed our two large branded black tablecloths dry cleaned and de wrinkled. These were not incredibly filthy but I definitely had at least one nightmare where the logo got melted and I had to reorder another one for $300. ITS THE OPERATING HOURS FOR ME! I brought them in on a Thursday and the attendant said they'd be ready by Saturday - which was a shock because other cleaners said they needed 4 days - but I realize now that these extra days were needed because many cleaners are not open on Saturdays or early/late (7am-7pm) whereas Klassic Kleaners is here to serve! I didn't need them until Tuesday morning so I said as much and the attendant said they'd be ready no problem. Fast forward to Tuesday, a different attendant took my ticket and quickly rang me up with a smile. The tablecloths were neatly hanging in plastic, folded so as to maintain the de-wrinkled elegance (they were not pressed which is what I wanted because the logo falls in ways that make pressing weird - this shows they're great listeners and understand the complexity of logo materials! $26 per table cloth was not the cheapest but certainly worth it for speed of service and convenient pick up hours! The owner left me a message after I posted my review. Interestingly, he thought I was a younger generation person. I would call that bias and sterotyping and a great display of disdain for a generation younger than him. In reality, I am a baby boomer who has owned five businesses and has trained many employees about customer care and customer service. Something this business did not provide. I went to the store with a question. I was treated with a lack of interest and told they don't do what I asked. I guess I would call it average service. Hence a 3 star rating. Scathing responses by an owner is no way to gain business. At least it has never worked for me in my 40-year working career. Treating customers with respect is the way to gain business. The wonderful people at Klassic Kleaners were able to clean the American flag that was draped over my grandfather's coffin. My grandmother stored away the flag for around 35 years without proper protecting. Fortunately, although quite dirty, the flag's fabric was still in good shape. Klassic Kleaner's staff explained to me the risk of dry cleaning such an old and precious family heirloom, but I decided to take the risk so I could then display my grandfather's flag properly. I wish I had taken some before pictures, but I assumed that most of the stains would remain. KLASSIC CLEANERS GOT ALL THE STAINS OUT! I brought my wedding in to get pressed and dropped it off on a Friday and was told to pick it up the following Friday and they forgot to press it so I agreed to pick it up on Sunday, I arrived to pick up my dress and not only was it not pressed but they somehow managed to dirty it. I spoke with the owner who took no accountability whatsoever and basically shrug his shoulders and ask want I wanted him to do. I told him they had plenty of time to get the dress properly pressed and ask why they didn't clean it if they dirtied it, his only response was "I don't know" we get married tomorrow and now I have to figure out how to get it properly clean and pressed. So much for a care free, stress free wedding day! It's really sad that as a business owner he took zero accountability for their mistake. PS. We are a military family and have patronized many businesses in our 30 years moving around. I found the Tierrasanta location when we lived in that community and loved the quality of service. We had moved again as my husband recently retired. I discovered Klassic Kleaners now runs solely out of their Clairemont Mesa store. We have a special event coming up which I purchased two evening gowns for, so I had a back up; however, both ended up having issues with only a week to alter one of them. As I have trust in the service at Klassic Kleaners, I decided to contact them for help instead of another nearby cleaners. I was in San Diego for another appointment and stopped in with my gown Tuesday morning. My event is the same week on Friday evening. The seamstress was in that day and able to make all the needed adjustments to my dress so that I could wear it for our event that same week. Mr. Mahmood also steamed the gown to have it ready for wear when I pick it up. I know this was a rush job and a bit of an inconvenience for everyone, but they were able to help me out when most places probably wouldn't bother. I picked this place because it was somewhat close to work. I wrote them to get an estimate for cleaning a leather jacket and they replied immediately. I brought my jacket in a few days later and dropped it off with a lovely lady named Elena. She was very sweet! I bought my jacket in 1990 sometime and it has been through many, many nights at bars and dance clubs. I had never gotten it cleaned...yes, I know...shame on me. It still smelled a little like smoke and alcohol. It was supposed to take a few weeks but I got it back after about a week and a half. It looked almost new! One of the few dry cleaning places that is actually open on the weekends, which means you can pick up your stuff then, woo hoo! I came in a few weeks ago as I was invited to a wedding with my fiance and he had told me the day before the wedding. As a result, I panicked because I had been needing to get my dress dry cleaned for a while but never set time aside to do it. So I yelped what was in the area and found Klassic Kleaners! I called to ask if they did next day pick-up and they did! So off I went around 4:30pm to drop off my dress to get dry cleaned and pick it up the next day. I thought the next day pick up meant the dress was going to be ready the next day at the time I had dropped it off, but it ended up being the next day at 1pm! Unfortunately, don't think my item was thoroughly cleaned...I gave them a thrifted cream leather jacket that had to be specially cleaned for $50, and the item I got back still smells and the jacket lining wasn't cleaned, wiped down or spot treated at all. I am graduating from grad school this month and thought I was done with my school lab coat.. and tossed it in the back of our SUV.. only to find out that I needed to take photos this week! They clean my suit within 24 hours for around $10. Sometimes I pay before, sometimes I pay after. Either way my suit looks PIIIIIIIIIIMP! I think this is the most straight forward business I've Yelped, cause I'm in and out within 2 minutes. I can leave my sunglasses and headphones on, because talking is limited. Helen, their Taylor had once altered to shit for me but it was still too loose fitting. She made the corrections, no questions asked and no additional fees were chared and my shirt looked amazing. I had a dress overnighted to me and called Klassic Kleaners about doing a same day hem on the evening gown. They told me to go to the Clairemont Mesa location and they took great care of me. I have been taking my dry cleaning (there is a lot of it too as I wear suits to work everyday and am more of a dressy person on the weekends) here for four years. Ike, who usually works when I come in, knows me by name and is always really friendly. They have yummy chewy candies on the counter but I try not to eat them....they are too addicting. They do an excellent job, have prompt service, and I never have complaints about their work. I just don't like that they charge so much for womens shirts and much less for mens.
