This shop was the closest and the first of my experiment. I dropped off 3 wool coats that rang up as jacket blazer and got an evening ball gown and pair of wide leg lounge pants hemmed. The pants hemmed for $15, the dressed hemmed for $55! Cost more than the dress itself! They said because of the extra fabric from the circumference. I nearly fainted and I got it pressed which was another $30. The dry clean items took 3 days and the hemmed items took 4 days. Service and pick up was within my timeline. I'm sure if you wanted it sooner, it'll cost extra. As far as price, I have nothing to compare with until I try another establishment to see if they are competitive.

For reference, a regular blouse costs $8.85, a silk blouse is $9.85, a sweater is $8.85, pants are $8.85, and a (above-the-knee) dress is a whopping $14.85! I brought it in on Saturday afternoon and needed it ready by Monday at 10:00 AM. Not only did she complete the alterations on time, She also steamed and pressed it beautifully. The total cost was only $85, which was significantly less than the quotes I received from other tailor shops especially of it being rushed. The other places I contacted were also unfriendly, while she was incredibly kind, accommodating, and understanding. I was very nervous that I wouldn't have my dress ready in time for the wedding, but she made it happen. When I arrived to pick it up on Monday morning, September 14, the shop was quiet and no one appeared to be inside but The door was unlocked, and after calling out a few times with no response, I started to panic. Then I spotted my dress hanging neatly by the mirror. The moment I saw it, I felt so relieved. The hem had been perfectly adjusted to my height, and the dress was beautifully pressed and ready to wear. Since the wedding was starting at 11:30 AM, it was a very close call. I tried it on immediately, and it fit flawlessly. I had already paid for the service when I dropped it off, so I quickly left to head to the venue. In the rush, I accidentally left behind the clothes I had changed out of and had to come back to grab them. Since we were running out of time, I stayed in the car while my son went inside. As we were leaving, she came outside and waved goodbye to us. That simple gesture meant so much, and I waved back, feeling incredibly grateful. Thank you for your professionalism, kindness, and excellent work. You helped make one of the most important days of my life much less stressful. What impressed me most was not only the quality of your work but also your honesty and fairness. You could have easily taken advantage of my urgent situation, but instead, you chose to be helpful, reasonable, and compassionate. If you're looking for a talented tailor who is skilled, kind, professional, and fair with pricing, I highly recommend supporting this business. She did an amazing job, and I am beyond grateful for her help.
