And before my first visit, I made sure I read his book The Paleo Cardiologist. It's packed with information that I had already been using in my life and have now added a few more ideas. The book is great for anyone, not just heart patients. A year ago I had a heart attach and stent procedure. I am not a pill person but had to take RX meds that I did not want to but knew I had to for my health. I relocated from Texas to Arizona and found Dr. Wolfson by chance. Now he's my cardiologist. I have had two visits with him and am off half of my meds. We immediately stopped the Plavix/clopedigral (sp) and the metoprolol and got me on supplements that will help as I get these meds out of my system. His supplements are research and USDA Organic. I did not think that his services or supplements were overly priced. What is your health and your life worth? To me....this is the doctor I have wanted for years to help me back to optimum health after my heart procedure. I am blessed to find a doctor that believes in the same things that I have been researching and implementing in my life even before I started seeing him. I am blessed beyond words that he took me as a patient and is guiding me to better health. Blessed. I can hardly believe that I found such a great doctor. I left voice messages for calls after the procedure because I was concerned about some symptoms. No one ever called me back. I phoned to question a charge that was paid twice and was told to (snail) mail copies of the receipts so they could research it. Seeing the information on my account should have been easy by pulling it up on the computer. I even gave them my account number. I expect to wrap up my business with them and seek out another electrophysiologist for future needs.

I even had my cardiologist ask, after the 2nd unnecessary angioplasty, why I had a defibrillator instead of a regular pacemaker. That did not instill confidence in the doctor or the practice. Current issue, they are BALANCE BILLING me for monitoring of my pacemaker. Prior to the monitoring they need to get insurance approval and then the full balance is paid. (Yes, I explained this before to their billing partner with a person from my insurance company on the line) Instead they are billing me for 2 separate monitoringsessionsand expect me to pay $30 each time. FYI ~ I never receive notification of the monitoring or of the results of the monitoring.

I was given the option to pay half now and have the rest billed or reschedule "for when you get paid" seriously wth! Complete waste of time and gas, gave up a workday for nothing. Wish they would've communicated the costs of this visit so I could budget accordingly and not been blindsided by a $400 bill.
