I observed the woman and watched her poor interaction with my mother, saw her reading texts while my mom tried to put on her tight compression hose herself.... so much more...I asked my mom's husband if he would like me to contact Assisting Hands Ft. Worth West to ask if we could please have a different caregiver. He said yes. The woman immediately went off on me on the phone...telling me we couldn't change caregivers, that she was already assigned to my mom and that if this was a problem she would have to call for an investigation!!! I was already paying for the majority of my mother's care and even offered to pay to have the other woman reassigned..It was an awful conversation and this woman was very unprofessional and mean. The following morning it was as if she was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She called me back and told me she would change caregivers..as if she was doing me a favor. I later learned this was part of her personality and that she is even worse in her communication with the employees.

The letter I…read moresent Family Tree this morning, terminating their services, explains why no one should use this company. It was one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Here is the letter: Effective immediately (October 8, 2026), the family of xx will no longer need the services of Family Tree. Many reasons are behind the selection of another 24 hour care provider. At Family Tree there were numerous tardy arrivals, several no shows, one caregiver departure before the next caregiver arrived and lack of basic communication from and with Family Tree. All of these examples caused our family confusion and chaos. The final reason is the most serious. Our Mother, xx, fell while in your care during the early morning hours of October 7. The fall was not reported until our family friend caregiver arrived at 8 am. We immediately contacted our Hospice partner and are currently working with them to alleviate the additional pain, and potential fracture, this has caused our Mother. We feel it is important for you to know the reasons behind our severing the relationship with Family Tree. The stress level you added to an already stressful situation was untenable. You let us down. Please contact all caregivers scheduled for today, October 8 and forward, and let them know not to report for their shift. If you have any questions, you may contact us.
