I observed the woman and watched her poor interaction with my mother, saw her reading texts while my mom tried to put on her tight compression hose herself.... so much more...I asked my mom's husband if he would like me to contact Assisting Hands Ft. Worth West to ask if we could please have a different caregiver. He said yes. The woman immediately went off on me on the phone...telling me we couldn't change caregivers, that she was already assigned to my mom and that if this was a problem she would have to call for an investigation!!! I was already paying for the majority of my mother's care and even offered to pay to have the other woman reassigned..It was an awful conversation and this woman was very unprofessional and mean. The following morning it was as if she was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She called me back and told me she would change caregivers..as if she was doing me a favor. I later learned this was part of her personality and that she is even worse in her communication with the employees.

On her first solo visit with mom, she showed 30-40 min late, left 2 hours early, and was on her phone while she was with mother. She completed very few tasks on mothers list. Fortunately, Overture did not charge for the second visit, but we had no confidence in trying another employee as their employee screening process is obviously not as good as other home health companies.
