Taylor then withheld permission for Ashley to schedule my actual intake appointment, pushing my care back two full weeks. For someone seeking mental health support, two weeks is not a minor inconvenience. It can feel like an eternity. What troubles me most is the question this raises: if a facility cannot follow well-established federal disability law, one of the most basic legal protections afforded to people with disabilities, what confidence can patients have that other standards of care are being upheld? Although Redpoint presents itself as treating both mental health and substance use, my experience was that much of the curriculum and treatment approach felt heavily centered around substance use. As someone dealing with mental health concerns rather than substance use, I often felt that the programming was not well aligned with what I actually needed. What was particularly disappointing was reaching a point where I needed additional support and being told that residential treatment was the appropriate level of care, despite being unable to pursue residential at this time. Rather than feeling supported in finding an alternative level of care that addressed my mental health needs, I felt abandoned by a program and community I had trusted. Mental health treatment needs to recognize that not every person struggling is struggling with substance use. The distinction matters, and treatment should feel individualized rather than built primarily around one population. Based on my experience, I would encourage someone seeking treatment solely for mental health to carefully consider whether Redpoint's approach and curriculum are actually suited to their needs before enrolling.

Started treatment on 07/07/14. 55 year-old male…read more After years of struggling with insomnia and depression and obtaining mixed results (at best) from prescription valium, sleep meds and anti-depressants, my depression worsened in early 2014. With no reason to expect anything but more of the same results from conventional medicine, I turned to Treatment Centers XL/Aminokit (XL) for help. After the first day of treatment with the amino acid therapy, my symptoms literally disappeared overnight. The next morning, I woke after sleeping for 8 hours with no medication for the first time in over 7 years. Amazing! No valium withdrawal symptoms and no depression. I went from being a numbed-out, irritable zombie to "feeling" again - literally overnight. The honeymoon lasted for 7 days, then the insomnia returned, and the next three weeks were pretty rough. However, rather than giving me the usual (insomnia) b.s. about counseling, sleep hygiene, etc., and/or trying to put me back on sleep meds, the folks at XL worked with me to adjust my amino acid supplements. As a result, my sleep steadily improved to the point where I've consistently slept well for several weeks now. Recovery from the effects of long-term valium use is an imposing proposition, but my mental focus, clarity and memory have improved dramatically as well. XL staff are a fun and personable bunch, and the atmosphere is comfortable, relaxed and warm. I experienced no notable delays or waits, and XL staff were very flexible in adjusting their schedules to accommodate my needs. In my case, XL people came in on both a Saturday and a Sunday to administer my IVs, and stayed late with me on several occasions. As far as I'm concerned, these folks personify healthcare at its finest. Going with Treatment Centers XL/Aminokit is the best decision I've ever made. They literally gave me my life back. I'm still amazed at what a dramatic, transformational experience this has been. It's been three months and still - WOW! I'm still getting used to feeling good again!

This so called doctors office has got to be the absolutely WORST in the industry. They could care…read moreless about the health status of their patients all they care about is making money. I ran out of both of my prescribed medications one for blood pressure and one for high cholesterol a little over a week ago and the pharmacy tried to reach out to them to get them refilled with no response so I called them to get them to send the new prescription so I could get them refilled so I could start taking them again and they won't do it because I'm due for my six month checkup which I would have no problem making an appointment and doing that but unfortunately I can't because I recently had a nasty fall and suffered a tibial plateau fracture and am not cleared to drive but they don't care so I called them my self and demanded they submit a refill order so I could get back on them before something went wrong and had to argue with them that I can't drive so they called in a 60 day supply of the cholesterol medication rather then the normal 90 bottle which is what my insurance requires and a 90 day bottle of the blood pressure pills which is correct and since they only did a 60 day supply my insurance won't cover it so if I want to get them I would have to pay $300 for what normally would only cost $30. I have no idea why they would do the 90 day supply for the blood pressure and only 60 day supply for the cholesterol when for as long as I've been going there it was always 90 days each. Either their just that dam stupid or they just don't car all because I won't do what I literally do for other legit medical reasons.
