As it was our first time eating raclette, we asked our server to walk us through the menu. Lily was exceedingly helpful in explaining the differences in cheeses and their flavors, and she was also very attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal. I noticed that her welcoming demeanor was also shared by her colleagues who were waiting on the other tables around us. My family took Lily up on her recommendations, and we ordering one Klara and one Willi, each with a side of sausages, as well as one original tarte flambé and one vegi tarte flambée. The food was all very delicious!! My personal highlights from the meal were the sausage dipped in the Willi cheese along with the onions and potatoes that were served with the dish. The tartes also had very thin, yummy crusts topped with raclette cheese. The side of pickles provided a tangy contrast to the rest of the meal which I liked. We ended our meal with a warm chocolate cake and lemon sorbet. I'm not really one for alcohol, so I found the vodka in the sorbet to be a bit too strong for me. However, the chocolate cake with the jam and vanilla ice cream was very good and had just the right amount of chewiness. I wish that I could replace my local Cheesecake Factory with a Raclette Factory instead so that I could enjoy Swiss cheese melted over bread, sausages, and potatoes all the time. Oh well, perhaps it's just another excuse to visit Switzerland again one day :)

We were introduced to raclette by a French friend who even gifted us a heating unit, so we were not expecting to just be served a plate with some bread cubes, 2 potatoes, a couple of pickles & onions, with a bunch of melted cheese on top. Pretty underwhelming. That being said, the food was good. We had plain, garlic, smoke, and white wine cheese - the most noticeable was the white wine. The others were pretty much the same to us. Our waiter was pleasant and the atmosphere... a bit casual and resembling a chain. Pricing? It's Switzerland, so you know you're going to spend some bucks, but comparatively speaking, it was cheap (ER).

We happened upon it just by looking up restaurants close to our hotel and it wound up being our favorite place we ate in our whole 10 days in Switzerland! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. When you walk up, there are tables and chairs throughout the walkway and then an entire open area of tables off of the outside bar for a fun hangout. The building appears to be an old house turned restaurant and is so beautiful on the outside and so warm and inviting on the inside. The menu had accommodations for everyone - which is so nice as I am a lactose intolerant pescatarian! I got the beetroot and black bean burger both nights I was there and it was to die for!! I ate the entire thing both nights and just wanted more (it was a big burger though)!! I also had a watermelon spritz which was so refreshing! You can tell the owners/workers get to know their regulars as I saw them stopping by tables and chatting - which was just so fun to see! If you're in Zurich, I highly recommend popping by! My only regret was that I never saved room for the brownie dessert!

The buffalo wings were tasty and quite spicy, so if you don't enjoy a higher spice level... this wouldn't be for you. The service was great and our server answered our questions and was so kind to our doggy companion! I would definitely come back to enjoy this spot again.

However, we were a bit disappointed in the taste of the food. We'd tried 2 other self-serve buffet-style plant-based places in Zurich and Lucerne and were very impressed, so maybe we went in with high expectations. The selection is smaller than the other restaurants we tried, and the dishes just didn't have my preferred textures and flavors. The dishes certainly seemed healthier since there was basically no fried food, but the protein they used (tofu, seitan, etc) didn't quite hit the spot. They only had a tiramisu for dessert which had a strange aftertaste. I think it is still a decent vegan option in Zurich, and prices were comparable. Maybe the experience depends on personal preferences, but I personally wouldn't feel like going again unless in a pinch. They do have a nice little store area with vegan products and a wonderful variety of gelato/sorbet flavors. I did really enjoy the passion fruit and stracciatella gelato! They had a new dragonfruit flavor that was good but tasted like cotton candy rather than dragon fruit. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and has plenty of seating!

Being a buffet, the service is pretty minimal, but the team was helpful intro-ing my partner and I to the setup, as well as settling up at the end. While buffet meals tend to get a little blurry in my recollection, some of my favourite options in the trays were the indian style dishes, as well as the more fermented foods. If I hadn't filled up on the buffet, I would have really liked to try their gelato. If it's a warm day, leave room for dessert! As all places in Zurich, it is very pricey but if you've already had a couple meals elsewhere it perhaps won't be as much of a sticker shock.
