I do not feel as it is my responsibility as the patient to have to negotiate a prior authorization when it is in fact, the Doctor Who is supposed to fill it out. There seems to be some miscommunication between both parties however they would not speak to each other. I had to be the catalyst. I suffer from chronic migraines, which have been managed well over the last 4 months with medication, but have increased in frequency/severity over the last 2 weeks and were causing me to miss work and social activities. I needed to find a neurologist in Orlando after moving from Chicago a few months ago but many of the offices I called had very long waiting lists (some 5 months long!!). When I called Dr. Toshniwal's office they were able to get me in the very next day! The office itself is very tiny and outdated but cute. It lives in the Orlando Medical-Dental Center complex and is on the ground level in Suite 109. The waiting room is lined with chairs and wood paneling. Dr. Toshniwal took time to listen to all of my symptoms & concerns, asked a ton of questions, and did a thorough neuro exam. Overall the exam took about 20 minutes and she sent my new prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy. I'm very happy to have found her.
