Rather than return it to Chewy, that pet supplier directed me to donate it and Clatsop County Animal Shelter expressed great appreciation to receive the high quality food. I was tempted to visit the resident dogs and cats however, I was not looking to adopt another animal as we already have a dog and a cat. So, I didn't look at the animals and be tempted to take one or two home! I did note that dogs were being walked outside in the immediate area and I thought that would be a great way to volunteer some of my spare time!

Hammond Kennels was able to take our dog last minute. The folks on the phone seem calm and knowledgeable. They live within walking distance of the kennel and seem vested as a family. Our dog was thrilled to see us when we pick him up and had a spot or too of matted fur -likely from being in your own "stuff" however briefly (they wash out kennels daily) We had inquired about a bath previously for end of stay but they were booked. If you need care on the coast check these folks out. Try and book a bath for exit day too.

Owner tried to say we were making threats to her when I told her if my girlfriend goes to the hospital for her heart after this she would be contacted by a lawyer.

We called ahead and spoke with her on the phone to ask if we could just come in for a quick nail trim for our puppy (today is Thursday, February 19th) and she said she could trim our puppy's nails if we came in before noon today and we were so beyond relieved she was able to (our puppy was originally a stray and has major anxiety to the point where our vet wasn't even able to trim her nails). We will definitely be back because she did such an amazing job trimming and even grinding her nails. Thank you!
