But this place is all you can eat, in 2 hours. Drinks are priced as extra. There was heaps of seating inside with vents for the bbq cookers. It's not a serve yourself (obviously) it's a they serve you kind of deal. Well. You HOPE they serve you I should say. We didn't get a plate that we ordered and trying to flag down the ever elusive staff is like trying to catch a unicorn. They said to put your hand up to change your charred plate you were cooking on. My arm literally fell off waiting for service. We then waited some more. And some more. We asked 2 waiters on their way past for a new plate. Then we waited some more. And then some more. You get the drift here guys. The only thing I enjoyed was the beef shoulders. The oxford beef was really bland & chewy. So you had to smother it in whatever you could get your hands on to eat it. They don't have sweet soy sauce, but tell you there's a sweet chilli that works just as well when you ask. There are also no condiment stations so you can't get your own. Sharing a small bowl of soy between 3 people was hard. And the thought of asking for more send me into a panic attack as I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for sauce. There's a lot of waiting for your 2 hours of all you can eat. In the end we didn't end up asking for anything more to eat because I'd just about had enough. Left still hungry but paid $109 for the experience for 3 people. Plus there's a surcharge for using a card to pay. Will I ever go again? Ummm, let's put that down as a big NO.

Usually you don't wait more than 15 minutes for a table. There are so many Indonesian restaurants in this area, that if waiting is an issue you can usually go to another restaurant if you wish. I go to this restaurant for the Javanese Fried Chicken called Ayam Bakar. Ask for the Breast piece (Dada Bakar) $6.50. I always eat this with a serving of Cah Kangkung $10 and a serving of white rice $2. Mix these flavours together for a true Indonesian dining experience. The chilli sauce provided at your table is very hot, so use sparingly. It can be mixed with sweet brown ketchup manis sauce. Another dish to try is the Nasi Goreng. It isn't the best fried rice I have eaten, but it is still tasty. Complimentary free water in a jug is available free of charge. There are many other different cold drinks available on the menu. My favourite is Jus Alpukat - this is avocado juice with sweetened condensed milk, and streaks of chocolate syrup down the sides of the glass. This place is worth a visit if you like tasty Indonesian 'Warung' style food.

Instead of beef, you have the option to get it with chicken curry. I never had Malaysian food before, but this breakfast dish was very similar to what Taiwanese eat. I thought it was not bad. This location should do pretty well - being just across the road from World Square for those not wanting to trek further into Haymarket. It also gives the World Square precinct a solid Vietnamese choice now. The bowls though expensive, do provide quite a substantial amount of meats and noodles but the broth isn't as memorable. All in all, a solid performer and a decent Pho alternative in the CBD.

Bo 7 is run by the friendly owner Phil who has great passion for the food that hits the table and takes pride in providing the best of service. Not only is the food good, it is reasonably priced. We shared a range of dishes to start including the stuffed chicken wings with crispy skin and a tasty chicken mince stuffing. The bo la lot - bo nuong, and the bo la lot nuong than both with charcoal beef in betel leaf was a flavour explosion and the latter added to a lettuce leaf cup with fresh mint and bean sprouts which added freshness of the salad and textue through the crisp lettuce cups and bean sprouts. The spring rolls did not last long at all. All of these dishes were served with a dipping sauce to further enhance the flavour. The shredded chicken salad a good healthy option. Came out nicely plated with large house made rice crackers and the salad with a well balaced dressing. All elements combing to give each bite a nice balance of flavour. We love bun bo hue a spicy Viet noodle soup. This was not too spicy, it was super tasty with the broth doing plenty of time. The portion was quite large with plenty of beef and noodles, defenitely one for the hungry. The Mountbatten is your typical pub with beer on tap, plus your usual including wine. However they have a trump card in Bo 7 which serves up quality vietnamese food at a great price.
