I've been a patron for the past two years, the night time on Saturday and Sunday is not friendly and doesn't really like to wait on women. 2 weeks ago I visited on a Sunday night around 8ish and I was completely ignored by the bartender. I visited again on Wednesday and I sat there for a good 3-4 minutes and a guy walked in and he was immediately served, again it was the same bartender that completely ignored me on that Sunday evening. Not a good experience, she has no personality except towards men. I won't be back when she's working. If I walk in and I see her, I will turn around and leave. Nice Sports Bar with great food and music through the week and weekends. Average prices and nice clientele. Plenty of different sports on the many TVs, Had to come back to the for an edit, Was there this past weekend and one problem I have is no Draft Beer of any kind. All bottle which I can live with but still a bummer that no good draft available. read more

Great bar with awesome bartenders. I love that they carry blueberry redbull. Happy Hour prices are great as well. The pizza is okay, I love their chicken fingers and fries! The buffalo chicken wrap is also amazing! All and all Kj's is a fun bar to come listen to music, have a few drinks and talk with friends. read more

Dropped in to watch some NCAA action on a Sunday afternoon. Sat at the bar and ordered a water with lemon and asked to see a menu. I started with the Saratoga Chips. I thought they would come out quick; they didn't bit the wait was worth it since they were warm some crunchy some chewey, but all good with the accompanying BBQ sauce. Great value at $3. Then for $4 I got a hardy and thick bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup. More like a chili than a soup and garnished with three jalapeño slices. Very good. Expect smoking at KJ's. They allow it. I saw a pizza come out for a guy down at the end of the bar which looked great. Next time I'll try that. read more

Note please that they in fact have about a half-dozen up-scale draft beers. Guinness, KY Bourbon Ale, a wheat or two and usually a couple Sam Adam's releases. I go there quite a bit. This is one of the few places in town that I can go, take my laptop and get some work done. Also, they have reasonably priced specials and a generous portion of food. Honestly this is one of the few places that -- on a regular basis -- I'm unable to finish my plate of food. Their burgers are great, and they have a new specials menu (as of May 2014)... The specials are Philly Cheesesteak, Turkey Club Classic, Italian Ciabatta Sandwich, French Dip or a Turkey Melt for $7.99. They include seasoned French Fries. With a soft drink, ends up being $10 or so... And the service is always wonderful. There are 22 seats at the bar, 8 round high-top tables, 17 high-top "4-seaters", 5 low-top "4-seaters", and 3 tables on the patio.. Smoking is allowed but the ventilation is good enough that it generally isn't a problem in my opinion. Service is always pretty quick -- during lunch hours, food takes from 5-10 minutes generally. But it is worth noting that as the hours progress beyond 5PM, it does get somewhat noisy as it begins to get crowded. I'd recommend it highly for lunch or for a quick pit-stop while traveling on I-75 -- as it is very easy to jump back on the interstate. Other amenities: 11 flat-screen TVs mounted throughout the building TouchTunes Jukebox* Full-service bar MegaTouch gaming system at bar counter Golden Tee Live 2014 (You'll be hard pressed to beat the infamous "Kroger Bucks") Front patio with several covered tables. It's like the servers don't want you there or want to serve you. There is only one good tender there, Ashely. I was just there most recently and they have this one bartender that little looked like she just climbed out of bed. She looks cracked out, with wet hair, unflattering pants and a wrinkled T-shirt. Like wth, I was just thinking to myself the whole time like you really come to work like this?Yeah I know bartenders dress comfortable, but this cracked person looked like she just hopped out of bed and headed for her car. The main thing they have going for them is they are right off buttermilk and easy to get to. Probably what's keeping them in business. read more

This is a decent KY sports pub. We wanted to eat local on our trip from Michigan to Florida, so we stopped outside of Covington, KY for a bite to eat at KJ's. The waitress was doing homework, since it was a slow Sunday afternoon. The barmaid was chatting up the two or three people in there. It was smoky, but the decor was mildly entertaining and the seating was comfortable with great views of the TVs (showcasing three ESPN channels). We really liked the nachos (split them!). The husband got the black and bleu burger with fries and I got the mushroom and swiss burger with applesauce as a side. Way too much food for a road trip, but nice service and pretty tasty overall. Other than the smoky atmosphere, it was a nice place. If I still lived near Cinci/Covington, I would go back! read more

Used to be great place, but has really gone down hill. Stopped in last night for a few beers and dinner. Maybe only 6-8 people in the place. All obnoxious regulars, heavily intoxicated, walking behind the bar and helping themselves. Smokiest bar in NKY. Better options would be Grandview Tavern, Dickmann's, or bars around Crestview Hills Town Center. read more

Music is good, but way too smokey!!! If you don't smoke, you won't be able to breathe! I really don't like going here because it seems everyone there smokes. If you do go, make it your last stop because you will stink when you leave from smoke. read more

Went here the other night to order some take out. I had always passed by this place so I decided to give it a try. The bartender who took my order was very unfriendly. I'm in the customer industry and I always tip when I get carry out, but now I'm wishing that I hadn't. When I got home the containers with the condiments were open and had gotten all over my bag. The food was not that great either. Even if the food had been amazing I probably would not go back again because the service was not good. read more

Looked like it could be a cool place to hang out and listen to some music. I walked in, hit by a wall of smoke, sat at a table for a while waiting for service. Finally gave up after 20 minutes of sitting choking on smoke and no service. It looks like the place has potential. Get some waitstaff and clear the smoke. read more

It's a great place to go enjoy a band a cold beer and really good food. The staff is always friendly and quick to serve.

Very smokey but hey it's Kentucky. Staff is nice enough. very crowded and loud bit the Bengals were playing so that's to be expected.

I have been to KJ's only a few times and have not been very impressed. It is really just a normal bar with OK bands and a limited selection of beers. It doesn't really do much for me but it is a decent fallback bar if you don't feel like going anywhere else. read more

WARNING! This is one of the nastiest places I've been to, it is comparable to a bowling alley atmosphere. Terrible music, terrible beer selection and horrible customer service! They have had trouble with bugs in the kitchen which just blows my mind that people actually decide to try their food, and end up sick the next day. If you're not an old regular then they will not treat you too well and you will just smell like smoke. read more

The customer service here sucks, a group of my friends were up there after a game.We had a big group so you would think like most bars they would have no problem bringing out buckets and shots since one would expect a big tip. Well not quite, our orders continued to get screwed up. We ordered a bucket that took 20 minutes to get brought out and when the waitress brought it she told us we had 10 minutes to chug our beers.
