Safe Dryers - What happens when the screen on your roof installed dryer vent isn't removed

I finally determined why my dryer was not behaving properly, and it was time to take care of my…read moreclogged up dryer vent system. Yelp guided me to several options to consider for service, and upon reading many reviews, I decided to contact Safe Dryers. I contacted them rather late on a Friday afternoon, but they promptly texted me back, and got me on their calendar. Saul and his colleague arrived at the scheduled time, and got to work. They vacuumed out a pile of lint, and exclaimed at the amount in such a short dryer vent :). They measured the airflow, and explained to me what the ideal airflow is, what mine was at the start, and what it is now. They answered every question that I had about the state of the system and how I should maintain it going forward. They were efficient and cordial. What else can I expect? I'd like to point out that Safe Dryers wasn't the first company I called. The company, which was referred by my appliance repair folks, wanted to come to "inspect" my system for a low fee, and then "assess" what needed to be done and provide an estimate on site. When I asked how much it would cost to clean the vent, which I knew needed to be done, this other company would not answer that question. They insisted on a $69 visit to provide that assessment and cost. Safe Dryers had a simple answer--$169 for a ground level vent, $259 for something 10' off the ground or more. I'm sure if Saul and his team found something amiss while they were here, they would have told me about it, but all I needed was that vent cleaning, and that is what I got. A bargain at $169. Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom. Thank you, Safe Dryers!

Saul had come out to clean the vent back in July so I called him to ask what might have happened and if he'd noticed anything at the time. He came out the next day to evaluate and remedy the situation. He was very thorough, replaced the tubing and cleaned the lent mess, all free of charge! He apologized for the oversight (it was difficult to see that the metal attaching to the tubing had been warped and was therefore not fitting correctly). He not only took accountability but was very timely and respectful in his approach. This kind of high-quality customer service is very rare these days and it was much appreciated! We'll definitely be using Safe Dryers in the future and will recommend him to others who are in need of these services.

I hired them to clean my air ducts and dryer duct, and they did an excellent job…read more Scheduling a job is very convenient. They have an online booking system where you tell them which services you want and how many vents you have, and you can pick a date and time for the service. Then they call you and confirm, and send you an estimated cost and estimated time to do the job. Their rate is a minimum $950 that covers 15 registers (supply and return), plus $20 per extra register. If you get the dryer vent cleaned at the same time it's a discounted rate of $130. They do a variety of additional cleanings and services as well, but I did not get any of those. Luis came over at the agreed time (after texting me that he was on his way), looked everything over, and had me sign the agreement. He gave me an estimate of 5 hours for my large house (28 registers plus the dryer vent), which was very close to the actual time. He did not attempt to upsell me on anything. The best feature of the service is the before and after vent photos. Luis pulled an amazing variety of junk out of my vents (mostly crayons and pencils, with a few unidentifiable pieces, and a moderate amount of dust and lint). This is a more elaborate process than I imagined. They attach a large device like a vacuum cleaner to the side of your furnace to suck air back from all the ducts. This is fairly noisy and runs for the whole period they are cleaning. Then they open up each register, clean the cover, and blow out the insides of the duct with compressed air. Some of the debris falls on the floor, but Luis did a good job of cleaning up at the end.

When I made the appt I told the office I did not need the furnace cleaned as I had an appt the next week for that with my regular guy. They said they would remove the $179 charge. When I was presented with the bill the charge was still there. I spoke with the office and they said there was ' no way to remove the charge from the bundle of services '. So buyer beware I was charged even though I requested that service not be performed.

He was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough from start to finish. He spent 7.5 hours working on our entire system, including the ductwork, furnace, and AC unit, and it was clear he takes real pride in doing the job the right way. Terryn took the time to explain everything he was doing and showed me some of the debris he removed from inside the ducts. He also provided excellent before-and-after photos so I could see the difference for myself. As a Marine Veteran, I appreciate craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing things the right way without shortcuts. Terryn delivered exactly that. He went above and beyond what was expected, especially compared to the last company we used, who didn't take nearly as long and definitely wasn't as thorough. The pricing was very fair, competitive, and even lower than several other companies I looked at. The veteran discount was genuinely appreciated as well. There was no aggressive upselling, just honest recommendations backed up by photos of what he found. I will recommend Denver Ducts a hundred times over any other duct cleaning company. If you want quality work done right, ask for Terryn. He earned every bit of this 5-star review.

He followed up with a confirmation call the day before to make sure that my schedule had not changed. He was extremely professional and courteous. He told me his tech Ralph would be the one coming to the house to do the work, so I had a name to go with a face prior to him getting here. Ralph and his co-worker arrived early for the job and got to work immediately. He explained everything that needed to be done and got my furniture and breakables moved with respect and caution. While doing the job, he should me how much debris was removed and I actually took a picture of how much came out of the ducts. It was amazing. He also explained how this buildup is not good for the furnace nor the home overall and that routine maintenance is key to making sure a home is healthy. The quote Mo provided me via e-mail was exactly what I paid as well. Overall, I was very happy with the service and work that was done and will be calling them again to have my ducts cleaned and when it comes time to have the carpet cleaned in my basement, they are #1 on my list to call.

It's interesting to me that you think berating previous clients will win you new ones. Yes, you asked me to call you. But I have no interest in hearing your explanations. I sent you an email on 7/5, four days after the first service, stating every concern that I posted in my review; and you offered no explanations or apologies then. And still you haven't. The pencils and other items left in the vents were not glued; they were simply missed. They were collected when Ralph came back the second time. And I said the ducts are still dirty... with dirt, not glue. Obviously air isn't going to remove glue. Don't treat me like an idiot, because I'm not.
