I needed a little sweet something, and I saw this cutesy shop as I was crossing the street with the warm colors. I was looking for a brownie, not too sweet. And to my surprise, it was more than I was expecting. It was an old-fashioned brownie with the edges--you know, the chewy sides with a touch of burnt edges that we all loved. Also, they make cakes, and I loved the pretty green one. So I got a bit nosy, asking questions, and found that this is a full bakery. Yes, you can stop in and get a slice of cake, pies, and all kinds of delicious treats like brownies and cupcakes. But you can also order a whole cake. I like to say specialty cakes because they have flavors like the pretty Key Lime Cake with cream cheese icing on the outside and green on the inside. Another one that stands out is the Butter Pecan Cheesecake, Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake, or the Sweet Potato Red Velvet Custard Pie. It's truly a dessert paradise. So y'all know umma be real. My sis wanted to take a trip to visit this shop. I looked at the reviews and saw bad customer service so you know I didn't want to drive an hour for mistreatment. My sis purchased a red velvet from Shoppers Value when she saw they were sold in stores. She knows I'm not big on red velvet and am partial to the one cooked by Patricia Lyman. So to get me to purchase it, she said it's like Patricia's. The color was spot on but taste wise it wasn't to me. The cake was a little on the dry side. I even lifted the cakes to get the expiration date that was furthest out which was 9/30/25. Even if the cake had been freshly cooked today, there is no way I would even keep a cake in my house for this long. It's lucky to sit a whole week. I will upload locations in Macon these can be purchased from. I ONLY went to Shoppers Value because it was closest. But with the 10% extra charge I do not frequent here at all. My thing is you are not giving me a discounted rate if you charge 10% on top of the other tax. Just charge me regular price off the bat. Back to the cake...there are other flavors such as key lime and strawberry crunch so I recommend you try it for yourself. It would probably make a difference to try these when they are freshly baked. I didn't know what to expect. Two of the cutest punk rock girls helped me and even offered to help me to my car (I was frail at the time) and the cake was wild. We got the red velvet and did a graveyard motif. Shop was super cute too. Lovely! read more

Lovely little shop near downtown Griffin. We drove from Tyrone to sample These kakes at the suggestion of a friend. We were not disappointed. We ordered red velvet, lemon pound, strawberry crunch, and knocked samples of several other cakes as well. Simply put, the kakes were delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were fair at $5 and $6 a piece. In addition to slices, you can order whole kakes with advance notice. This is not the place to go. The cakes are dry and taste old. The flavors aren't even that great. The blue velvet is a joke amongst the rest of the menu. Rude customer service with ridiculous prices. What are you even paying for? Would NOT recommend. read more
