She recently had a few large mats form despite brushing her daily. I had to prepare myself and her for a haircut. Anna called me and talked me through all my questions as well as what she would do at Ezra's appointment. She spends the time with your feline friend and is very good at her job and with the felines. Ezra received her first lion cut at the end of September and will be going every 3 months for a haircut and spa day to keep her skin and fur healthy. Thank you, Anna for being amazing!

One time for a knick under her ear that turned into a hotspot and just yesterday a severe double ear infection from Heather plucking her hair out of her ears. We didn't know for sure if the first incident was grooming related, but after yesterday we know for sure. $500 in vet bills, and our dog is in PAIN. Called and tried to talk to Heather about it - she was not remorseful, not caring, and not sorry for hurting our girl. Do not go here.

I have stayed with her but now I cannot. I called the day before my appointment for my female Airedale terrier this week. She's raised her prices again and I wanted to know the price. She quoted me $85 which as a $20 jump but I accepted it. The morning of the appointment my girl came in with small burr seeds in her coat. I spent some time brushing her legs and belly as well as beard to remove the bulk of them, her torso too but it is quite short cut. My dogs are very active but given the dry hot weather (and fact I've showered them numerous times to cool them off) she was not that dirty since there's no mud to get into as she loves to do. I dropped her off with clipping instructions to take her a bit shorter on her legs. When I arrived to pick her up I was charged $107. This is the second time with has been done to me and this time it was a slap in the face given I called the day before for the price. (I was charged $20 extra another time for my boy which I thought was slimy business practices. Dogs are dirty, groomers clean dogs. That's your business, right?) I protested the extra charge. The girl said "I talked to Rachel, had to bath her twice and she was matted). Bull. She was not matted as I brushed her before I brought her. She shouldn't have needed two baths if she was bathed properly the first time. And she says the new cut took longer. If you don't know a proper groom for an Airedale that is your problem. You are dog groomers who should know your business. And she nicked Mina's private parts in the process. I met a woman right after at another groomers I stopped at on the way home who also used to go the GT with Jen but found Rachel's grooming skills and professionalism lacking. Long story short. I'm done. I will not go back. You're a business owner but won't be for long at this rate, Rachel. Ps. I just got off the phone with Rachel. Although I was told the additional bathe I was charged extra now is standard - she said and I quote 'we bath all dogs twice; b) that the $85 was just a 'base price' so any additional charges- beware! They can charge what they like. And then she hung up on me.

I always get picture updates and when I call to check on them they don't brush off the nervous Mommy moment they tell me just how my fur babies are doing. When we had to recently send one over the rainbow bridge the entire staff took the time to write a card to us and let us know they were thinking about our family. Rosie is an 8 month puppy, and I realized she was just "too busy" to leave in the care of my older father. Drop off went as planned as explained on their internet site. I do suspect that they are strict with drop off and pick up times (as well as vaccinations) which was well explained in advance. I was more concerned with pick up and expected Rosie to be a hot, stinky mess. When I picked her up, they explained that she was shy for the 1st day or 2 and then had fun playing with the other dogs. She ate all her food one day but would pick the next. Completely in line with her personality. I expected her to smell like kennel, and suspect they may have given her a bath along the way. She smelled like a dog that had been shampooed about 2 to 3 days before. Appreciate the fact that they kept her clean and bathed her, if needed. She had dirt on her nose at pick up, completely in line with her personality. They also explained that she could be nervous for the next day or two after pick up. I reunited her with my older dog (left with my dad) on the day of pick up. There was hostility between the two dogs all day. I note that I did not give Rosie a bath that day as she appeared clean, and I was just too tired. I expect she smelled of other dogs which may have added to the hostility (and nervousness which MY DOG explained). I gave both dogs a bath the following morning and they were best friends again and hostility was gone. I would recommend this kennel and will use MY DOG again.

I guess I shouldn't really be sharing what a great kennel this is. Afterall, there have been a few…read moretimes when we needed to board Boomer on short notice and they managed to find a way to fit him in. Like most kennels, you are required to bring your pet's food and maybe even a toy. You can also schedule your pet for a bath, so they will be coming home all clean and shiny. They are located in the country, but it's not really a far drive from Cranberry. But they are worth the trip!
