One week went buy without a call back. I made a phone call and he told me he would contact me soon. One month went by without any contact. My suggestion is to be aware!

I was considering hiring Wood Kitchen & Bath in Inverness for my total master bathroom remodeling…read more I met with their salesperson Frank at my house. He told me that he will prepare an estimate, but before the plumber would come out, I needed to pay a nonrefundable $500 for all the work he already had did. Having slow business, they skip the payment later and let the plumber come out anyways. I also wanted to replace my pocket door with old French doors of the same size as the original door. That was part of the original estimate. Another person came out with Frank and looked at my bathroom. They insisted that I would buy the vanity from their company as Frank told me that's where they make the money. Stupid comment from his side. The vanity they offered to me as a custom made would have been the same quality of the same item online, but $1,000 more expensive. So, I asked for an estimate without the vanity. They took it out but added $2,000 to the labor. When I asked why I was told it was for the French doors which were already in the original estimate, but because they would cause so much extra work. That's when I knew that they were trying to rip me off. My current contractor is putting those doors in for me for $300. When Frank from Wood Kitchen & Bath asked me why they did not get the job, I told him that he lost my trust! Something to consider hiring this company!

I was an out of state customer building my 3rd custom home. It took 1.5 months to secure my loan…read moreafter several mo of going back and forth about blue prints that she didn't have but was advertising that it was one of their homes (I paid $2,500 for a blue print that they should have had), then it took them 6 mos to apply for a permit (total from start to finish was 19 mo.) during negotiations she told me my ideas were cockamamie, she charged me $7500 to put a snack bar in (I drew a picture with the cabinet sizes and that was included in the $7500 quote) and then she tried to charge me an additional cost for the cabinets, as soon as I signed the contract, that was the end of communication! When we moved in the master bath sink faucet was a used facet, with calcium deposit all over it (we are on a well)??? Master shower did not have hot water (come to find out after cutting a hole in the wall, the hot and cold pipes are switched and they used a knock off of a Moen water valve (no wonder it was leaking), Air conditioner did not work and now 2 years later the blower motor had to be replaced, after we moved in and used the dishwasher, it wouldn't work (burnt wire nut), rough electric contractors asked me who did the finish electric because they were never asked to come back...... (so who did it)?, there is splattered paint, chucks of mortar and stucco all over the front and back Lanias, garage corner and front porch columns did not have caps on top of fake brick base and were left looking sloppy, tray ceiling and light is not centered with Picture window in dinning room and window crooked and very hard to lock, garage door into the house fell off 2 days after moving in because it only was being held up with thin 1" screws, we did not get any shelves for either bathroom vanities (told us they cost extra), granite snack bar wobbles, gap in corner of patio doors (you can see outside), tan grout on white base trim throughout house. Called and sent an itemized excellent sheet by rooms a week before the 1 year warranty and still have not had any response (1.5 years later), much less finishing the list from my walk through inspection. As far as the value-the cheapest lights and windows you could buy! Quality-none!!! Service-absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE unless you enjoy talking to a message machine and no return call(s), I was told she would send pictures because we were from out of town but I would have to wait several weeks to get them after calling several times and talking to an answering machine. Thanks to having neighbors that would go over and take pictures for me. No idea who could rate this company anything over a 0! But if I don't put something, then anything I said would not make anyone looking to build with them a reason to look what happened to me. I wouldn't try to sell this as a spec home much less a "custom home".

Slow service, outsourcing to third party teams and sloppy work -- we gave up…read more CSL Construction was recommended to us by a water damage crew after a pipe burst in our home. While the water damage crew (a seperate company) did a great job, CSL has been a headache for the past 3+ months. A project, initially slated to be 2-4 weeks took over 3 months. Workers regularly showed up at 10:30 am to leave by 2pm. So I believe this project could have been finished in that time frame, if people actually showed up. The first image I use to show the date of July 17th, already well into their construction as you can see drywall put back up. Today, September 14, the project was "ended," not necessarily finished, but we gave up with CSL's standards. Along with having third party companies do their work (CSL denies this, but the employees themselves gave me their business cards and told them to call "the real workers" for our next project), we only spoke to our project manager when we had serious issues, when we were told he would show up every 2-3 days. NOT ALL NEGATIVE -- I will say, the hardwood flooring installation was done really well. We requested the floor colors and plank length to be mixed around to make it appear random and they did a really good job at that. * It makes me believe that we were given a team that is focused on floors but can "also kind of" do baseboard. * I will also state that our rebuilt bench is really well done. But, I have to note that Project Manager Hunter himself said that the team of two working on it didn't work under CSL and were hired out. I am disappointed in poor communication, sloppy finishing work and the slow speed. I gave a 2 star, instead of 1, because of the nice looking floor and bench installation. And 1 star (to me) would mean they didn't get the project to a livable level.

We also had them redo the master bath and they were kind enough to always have one available for us to use even when we had company as they were doing it. We found them very efficient and patient as we made our selections. They explained all the possibilities and gave us time to talk it through without pressuring us. I first worked directly with the owner, who helped me determine what features were most important to me, and developed a fabulous floor plan. I know the owner, Paul has had some very, very serious health issues (not covid). I was introduced to his manager, and he continued to keep me informed. The cabinet installer is a true craftsman! No "handyman " type work from this guy! He and I came up with an idea to make my microwave cabinet look better by eliminating the "trim kit". A hidden gem for sure. My countertops were all by Cambria Quartz. The fabricator is so skilled, the pattern in the 2 slabs met seamlessly! I would absolutely recommend KB.

Very disappointed with my experience with Shinedeck Outdoor. The quality of the workmanship has…read morebeen a major concern. The pavers have shifted and lifted, and the finished installation does not look the way you would expect from a professional paver company. When you pay for a new paver installation, you expect the pavers to be properly installed, level, stable, and built to last. Unfortunately, the problems with the installation make me question the quality of the preparation and installation work. Pavers should not be shifting and lifting like this, especially after paying for professional installation. Overall, I expected much better workmanship, communication, and customer service. Based on the condition of the pavers and my experience dealing with the salesperson, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for quality paver installation. Do your research, get multiple estimates, and make sure you understand exactly how the installation will be done before committing. From 10 different estimates from different companies in the area, this company was the most expensive one. I have no idea why. There is no quality. Shifted pavers and weeds everywhere after sealant was applied from the same company. Now I need to look for another company to fix their shitty job!

I have a dog, and so I wanted to add some fenced-in areas for him to be able to play outside. Initially I contacted SHINEDECK for a quote on pavers installation for a small patio outside my sliding glass doors. Prior to the appointment, I revisited the website and noticed that they also do all kinds of other things, and all of the projects I wanted to do were included in their scope of services. Long story short, I had them install the pavers patio, seal all my new and existing pavers, lay down artificial grass for the side yard, put up a 6ft. solid vinyl fence around the artificial grass, put up a retaining wall, put up a white picket fence for the front yard, and install gutters! I was a little disappointed when I was told that they wouldn't get to my projects for at least 2-3 months, but I was elated when I was notified that they would be starting after only 4 weeks. They got everything done in a week and did an amazing job. They helped my vision for the outdoor space of my new townhouse come to life. Salvador (Sal) did a great job as a sales representative and project manager, providing wonderful solicited advice and keeping me informed along the way all throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend SHINEDECK to anybody with outdoor project needs.
