The original scope included a kitchen remodel with a layout change, one bathroom, and flooring. Based on early progress, we executed additional written change orders expanding the project to multiple bathrooms and most of the house. After the final change order was signed, progress slowed significantly. There were often only one or two workers on site, limited supervision, and long periods with minimal activity. Payment requests were made in amounts and at times that did not align with the agreed schedule, and supporting documentation was delayed when requested. As we raised concerns about progress and completion dates, communication became increasingly difficult. In multiple interactions, we experienced the contractor raised his voice, became confrontational, and responded in a hostile manner when timelines or documentation were discussed, making coordination and resolution challenging. By the contractual completion date, we had paid the contractor in full, including a substantial amount beyond the original contract amount, yet the project remained substantially incomplete (approximately 60% completed). Only one of four bathrooms was finished, the kitchen was missing most cabinets well past its scheduled completion date, several bathrooms lacked basic fixtures, brand-new appliances were damaged during installation, and a roof repair, ventitian plaster and other details included in the scope were not performed. After requesting a revised completion timeline, work ceased, and additional invoices were submitted for items that were not completed, not part of the contract, or already paid for. We later became involved in a dispute regarding a lien filed against the property, which was ultimately removed through the legal process. At the time of resolution, it was determined that funds were owed back to us. According to publicly available CSLB records reviewed after these events, the contractor's license is currently suspended during the time this review is written. This review reflects our direct experience. Homeowners are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence and verify license history before engaging this contractor.

What a God-send and so helpful in FINALLY finishing my "simple, basic" valve…read morereplacement! 3 of the 4 lever handles in our hall bathroom sinks were dripping and turned off last month until I could get to it. My local plumbing supply closed last year (RIP Larry & Joe's on Sepulveda). I did manage to find 2 cold side valve stems at ACE, but I needed 2 hot side valves. (For these split mount seats, the threads run in opposite directions for hot v cold.) James at ACE suggested Tapo Plumbing Supply. I was so happy to hear there IS a supply company still operating in the SFV. Off we went. Ricardo & Isidro welcomed us in and I showed them my cold valve and told them I needed 2 hot valves, w/in minutes, Isidro had my valves and rang me up. Well, of COURSE nothing goes as one plans! It's always something, as Mom use to say. I got 2 cold and 1 hot valve in by 5pm and then came the final valve, which WOULD NOT BUDGE!!!!! I tried Liquid Wrench, I tried heating it - all the things recommended on YouTube. Nothing. I was also exhausted at this point, twisting my body under sink cabinets, working in tight spots for a project that should all be done "quite easily" from the top mount of the sink handle. But nooo.... I gave up for the night, realizing I would have to remove the valve sleeve from under the sink, an area in which none of my tools would fit, so special tools were needed. Next morning, back to ACE at 8am, for TWO the wrenches required. Back home. Ok, under sink, wrenches work, pipe comes out. STILL, I had the issue of the valve stem stuck in the housing. After many attempts anchoring the piece in a vice grip and trying different tools, it was clearly not interested in vacating that pipe and I clearly had stripped the outside of the hex bolt 'til almost round. Frustrated, I resigned myself to the fact a new pipe housing would have to be found. I was set to return to Tapo when Hubs suggested hitting the other "usual hardware haunts" along the way. We did, no one had the pipe. I walked back into Tapo and Isidro was there to greet me again. I showed home my challenge and asked about the pipe. He slowly shook his head, turning it over in his hand. 'I have something similar, but it's not the Pfister piece you need.' He brought it out and while I was ruminating, he took the old piece into the back. I started asking AI about the 2 different pieces and what else I could do to make a 2026 available pipe work under a cramped 1962 sink when Isidro reemerged from the back, now holding 2 pieces instead of 1 stuck piece. 'Oh ISIDRO! You DID IT!!! You got them unstuck! YAY!!!' He smiled and said it wasn't easy and now he has grease and water over him. I agreed 'Welcome to my last 2 days. I'm usually quite cute!' I asked what I owed him and he waved me off. How WONDERFUL it is to have a REAL plumbing supply shop like Tapo! Got overcharged for simple pipe fittings and a valve. I didn't know what I needed would cost…read morealtogether but when I was walking out to my car I noticed i was charged for 5 of a washing machine valve that was not part of my order at all. Adding an extra $120+ to my order. Maybe it was an error. Something leftover on an old invoice. But you'd think that when an order comes up over $120 more than what it seems like it should cost, the ringer would say, "what a minute, that doesn't seem right." After pointing out the discrepancy the employee corrected the invoice and refunded the difference on my card. So I'm going to hope it was just an honest mistake. But I'll be going elsewhere for my plumbing needs next time.

No discounts as pebble prices are already lower per scoop; however, when we asked for a discount, the owner lightened up the atmosphere by telling us funny jokes.
