She and her partner were both there during my visit and checked in to make sure all of the customers were enjoying what they ordered. I appreciated the interaction and that they cared whether I liked the cake. The cheesecake is served plain with a side of your choice of fruit sauce. I had the cherry cinnamon and it was incredible. I liked that the sauce was served on the side as it allowed you to choose the amount (though it's so good you will finish it one way or another. Apparently some people have been observed drinking what is left). The rest of the menu is fairly basic: salads, sandwiches and burritos. As an American, I especially enjoyed all the album covers on the wall and how the basement pool table area felt just like an American dive bar would have in the 1980s (complete with accompanying American tunes!). The bartender chatted with us as she was packing up for the night and provided excellent service all evening. The crowd was mostly young people, all of whom seemed to be having a great time, with not even a phone in sight! Located along busy Vesterbrogade north of the meatpacking district, you ring a door bell to get into the waiting area. Once in, the bookshelf opens into the bar space. During the week, they keep the front room open and open the back room on weekends when its more than tourists visiting. The cocktail menu is long, but even better are the bartenders. Taking pride in what they do, you can ask them to make a drink that you like. They appreciate the challenge. My friend and I both did bartender's choice and were pleased with our drinks. We also had fun chatting with the two bartenders. They asked us questions about our hometown and gave us many insights into Copenhagen life and Danish culture.

It was just fine - a bit greasy, a bit dry, but still tasted okay. The restaurant was horribly understaffed, with just 2 people working, having to get drinks and walk the very long length of the restaurant to get the food from the kitchen. They were nice enough girls though and clearly trying their best. So while it's not going to change your world, Rib House is adequate, and for Denmark, affordable enough.
