Made to order Halal burger and chicken place in Hayward. They are located near my kids Saturday language school and we came after to check it out. They were short staffed that day and the owner was one man show. Really nice hardworking guy but the reason for the overall rating was I called ahead so my hungry kids wouldn't wait too long and it still took 40 minutes from when I called to our food being ready. The chicken thigh was also raw near the bone though I clearly heard the deep fryer timer starting and going off and feels like it needed 2-3 minutes. Original 804: Fresh Beef Patty, American Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Finished 804 Way. Tasted good, my kids said "better than Mcdonalds" and that's great because they love McDonalds. Chapli: Beef Patty mixed with traditional house blend spices, Tamarind Onions, Tomato, 804 Mint Chutney Sauce. Distinct unique taste, worth trying but we liked the more traditional burgers better. The Melt: Fresh Beef Patty, American Cheese. On a reverse toasted bun, the kids loved the size at this one looked. The kids loved this and totally destroyed every bite. Kitchen 804 is dangerous... because once you eat there you're going to start planning excuses to come back. I ordered the spicy jalapeño burger and it was outstanding. Perfect amount of heat, juicy, messy in the best possible way. If you're on the fence, just go straight to the double burger. No regrets. The onion rings and fries were fantastic--crispy, hot, and clearly not an afterthought like most places. And the gentleman working there made the whole experience even better. My flame burger was just ok. It was spicy, but the bun was soggy and the meat was unremarkable taste wise. It came with fries which were also ok. My friend had onion rings and those were very good. I noticed that the plastic ketchup bottle had a grungy ring of old ketchup buildup around the seal, like they refill it without ever cleaning the bottle. Owner is friendly and attentive. The burgers were prepared well and I left really happy! My friends and I needed water and they were able to give us a bottle and a few cups to share - they were really generous for this! This was my first time at Kitchen 804 after a friend found them online. I ordered the original 804 burger and buffalo fries to share with a friend. The burger was extra juicy and the fries were the perfect crispy texture on top of having the right amount of buffalo sauce and ranch. Service was great as well - owners were friendly and our food arrived within 15 minutes. My group chose to sit outside and one of the owners kindly brought out the condiments for us. It was quiet for a weekend afternoon, likely due to the restaurant's location on a smaller side street. Our group was surprised that they weren't busier because of how fresh and good the food was. I don't frequently visit the east bay, but I'll be recommending Kitchen 804 to anyone who's in the area more often and wants to support a family-owned business! read more

The two hamburgers that we had were unexceptional, just regular hamburgers. The french fries were just regular fries. However, the onion rings were freshly made and very tasty. This is a very small hole in the wall shop and not all that clean. The salt shaker, the pepper shaker and the ketchup bottle were pretty sad looking. The price wasn't bad and the staff was friendly. We paid $33 for two burgers, onion rings and two sodas. Either the french fries came with the one hamburger or they forgot to charge us for it. We would not go back to try anything else on the menu. read more

Ny husband and I came here by chance as the restaurant that we were supposed to go were closed. We tried the 6 piece chicken with mango habanero sauce on the side (I don't like my fried chicken wet), the flame burger with masala fries and philly sandwich with onion rings. Firstly, try the the Philly .. it is really really good! One of the best I've ever tried. The flame burger was a tad under seasoned, but the restaurant provides salt and pepper at the table so you can always add more salt to your food. The samosa was also good .. it is freshly made by the owners and not store bought. One of life's greatest pleasures to enjoy simple but good food. I rlly wanted to love Kitchen 804 since it's a nice little mom and pop shop! The owner was so nice and checked in with us to make sure the food was good and even gave us a free bottle of water! However, I thought that the food was okay and nothing to really rave about. Nothing super memorable. I got the original 804 burger with bacon and masala fries. The burger itself was decent, but the masala fries were just ok. Maybe it would have been better with a special sauce. We also got the fried chicken combo for the table, which was made to order and seemed super fresh, but was a bit lacking in flavor. Not at all greasy with just the right amount of seasoning- vegetables were fresh. Onion rings.... Well honestly they were ok- kinda tasted like the ones from Jack n the box- $5.99 for like 6 pieces - I would like to try this place again- next time I'll try their fries. 100% halal menu, which is great for those with dietary restriction. Really enjoyed my burger. It wasn't one of those extremely unhealthy burgers, it had just the right blend of ingredients to not make you feel too full after. I would say the burgers are a bit on the smaller side, so if you have an appetite I would consider adding an extra patty or another side item even though the burger comes with fries. Kitchen 804 is definitely one of the best burger spots in the area. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. But the real star here is the food--absolutely phenomenal burgers! I tried their signature burger, and it was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The toppings were fresh, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. I got their cheesy bacon fries and my husband got masala fries and both were great. My husband finished his flame burger and then went back in and got their aloo tikki, he finished both . Met a friend here for the first time. Neither of us had been here before. There was one other customer there at noon on a Thursday so there was no wait. There was a very strong odor upon entering the business that was a bit unsettling, but my friend said it was probably the grease. We ordered at the front and the woman working had trouble figuring out the correct change (which was not a big deal), but the man in the kitchen came over to assist her and he started grabbing coins with his gloved hands and then proceeded right back to the kitchen. That's gross. The kitchen is right behind the cash register and has a very open concept. There was also a little girl in the back of the kitchen where a curtain was pulled. All sandwiches come with fries and are decently priced. We sat outside at a picnic bench that was at the strip mall. About 10/15 minutes later, the man from the kitchen brought us our food. The fries were crispy and soft in the middle. They provided a couple ketchup pouches. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich and I got the original 804 which is a cheeseburger. It was a fairly good burger except for the hard chunk I had to spit out. I would have preferred the cheese to be melted though. Overall it was a decent meal but nothing special. I don't think I'll be back because of the cleanliness issues and that the food was just average. read more
