Heard it's really different from the strip clubs in Orange County. and it definitely was. it was a good vibe, a lot of female customers not just males. it wasn't just raunchy girls shaking their asses & perverted guys watching vibe. Hands down one of my favorite adult entertainment establishments in Portland. Baxter makes you feel like you're at home. You're in safe hands as a femme. This was amazing! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this club while bar hoping in Portland. We were just visiting for the night and had no idea where to go. We thought it was just a bar until going inside and seeing the dancers. There was a $5 cover fee to go in which is super cheap. This was my first time in a strip club and I had a blast! The dancers were beautiful and so talented, and really sweet and personable too :) One of them complimented my tattoo and I complimented her heels. How they dance in heels that high I'll never know but they sure look amazing!!! It was really fun and the drinks were really good. Kit Kat is not only the first strip club I have ever been to, but it has become my most favorite spot in all of the Portland area. Been coming to this club on-and-off for five years now and it never gets old. It has a long lineup of dancers (all of whom have colorful and fun personalities), a very elegant ambiance (not sleazy like a stereotypical strip club), and even the bar staff is absolutely dynamite. Barmaids Izzy, Morgan, and Izabelle are really nice and have been there to fulfill my drinking and conservation needs. Even though I've been dry for two years and going strong, I'm happy to say that Kit Kat's bar is a surprisingly good spot for a nice cup of tea. Yeah I'm giving this place five stars and YES I am the GD duchess of here too! Damn skippy. First off, no cover. NO stupid cover. I hate covers. So no cover is very welcome. Second, the bartenders are super nice and pour a stiff drink for not too much. They even tolerate drunk morons much better than I would (ie tossing them out on their butts). It's fairly big with plenty of tables & booths to sit at as well as a lot of space at the rack. But the most important? The dancers are really freaking good. They have amazing pole skills - and isn't that what y'all are there for (and I suppose nakedness). I've lived in this city for over a year and a half now and for whatever reason I hadn't been to a strip club in all that time. I've been to my share over the years and most cost you an arm, leg and quite possibly a testicle. Some of the places down in Texas will charge $20 just to get in the door so that you can come home covered in glitter and smelling like sickly sweet cotton candy. So that's most likely why I haven't graced the doors of the establishments. But it was a Saturday night, I was with a group of Yelpers that I'm fast becoming friends with and it was KKCs second anniversary. So why not? $1 cover? Ok, this may or may not be good. Beer reasonably priced with little wait time? This can't be a good strip club, right? Beautiful and talented women, that actually play and are playful to the crowd and not look bored while on stage? Does a place like this truly exist? Why yes, yes it does. The dancing/ singing (yes, I said singing) and pole skills of the lovely ladies at the Kit Kat Club were amazing. This place is a throwback to when people actually cared about the product they were putting out. I did find the one dancer with the "1920's style hairdo to be quite striking. Tattoos, a dancer with a mohawk and contortionist skills were all things that are completely normal here, and appreciated. KKC had a great stage show and the two announcers were keeping the crowd happy and announcing all the dancers. The ladies even did a routine with 13-14 of them on all the stages at once in honor of the second anniversary. Happened in here after a night of solid drinking on the Eastside - I don't even remember how we agreed to go to a strip club but lo and behold, here we were at midnight on a Saturday, sidling on in. We had no idea, but it just happened to be their one-year anniversary (birthday-versary?) and the club was packed. I'm hardly a strip club virgin, but not quite a pro, either - I've been to the requisite Portland institutions (Mary's, Devil's Point) and this was my first time at the Kit Kat. I had no idea what to expect, but being tipsy and easygoing I went in with an open mind and let myself be swept along. I was very pleasantly surprised! The space is large, with a main stage with a circular rail and a smaller side stage in the corner. The space was clean, not divey. The boys went to the side stage to get a little more, ahem, personal time with the dancers there but we girls stayed at the main stage/tables. As we'd been drinking all evening, we didn't order anything from the bar, but the servers came by frequently and checked in with us to make sure we weren't wanting for anything. The dancers were superb! I understand that it was their birthday-versary party so perhaps not every weekend is like this, but the performances were great. The girl dressed in Victoriana who dances on roller skates was incredible, as was Eve - she brought a live snake out to dance with her, and even the snake was super chill. The girls are gorgeous, have inventive routines and know how to work the pole. I'd definitely be back to try the bartenders' offerings and maybe get a bite from the dumpling window next door! Immediately after sitting down (did not even allow us to settle down) the bouncer came up to our group and insisted we immediately bought drinks (we did, and as previously mentioned the bartender was great) 2. As we are getting our drinks the bouncer approaches and us and asks for our I.D. (Just felt this was weird as he JUST checked our identifications at the door less than 5 mins ago, even the bartender acknowledged that this was strange) 3. A group of my girlfriend's friends were sitting and another bouncer approaches them and claims they were acting inappropriately by "mocking" the dancers In conclusion, the bar is not welcoming, no other guests there, dancers aren't that great Night prior (Wednesday night) we went to Lucky Devil Lounge and I would HIGHLY recommend going there instead! read more

Kit Kat Club is what strip clubs used to be, and what they should be again. It's not just about some girl strutting on stage, rude demanding bouncers, stupid $2 bill policies, and constant hectoring from the ladies to get a dance. It should be about an overall experience, and they definitely nail that here. First off, no cover. Cover at strip clubs is a stupid thing. Second, the bartenders are fast and the drinks are reasonably priced. That should also be standard everywhere, but sadly it's not. Third, the layout is great, with a main stage, a side stage and then a platform above the booths in the back that opens up every once and a while with two poles. No rack. Just for show. Love it. On Friday and Saturday nights, they put on actual shows with an emcee who hops on stage every 30 minutes or so and introduces an actual themed act - from a girl singing (then stripping) to various costumes and performance pieces. It's entertaining. It harkens back to a pre-gonzo age, and it's kind of refreshing. Also the regular dancers have some serious pole skills. Talk about core strength! Ladies aren't pushy, dances aren't overpriced, and all in all, it's a solid damn experience. It's much more appropriate for a group of friends (like I usually travel in) that includes ladies. This review is mainly for Midwesterners, Southerners, etc., visiting the Pacific Northwest: So this is your typical Portland strip club. Which in Portland is basically the same as saying "typical club" since, in Portland (said to be home to more strip clubs per capita than any other city in America), the main thing that distinguishes a strip club from any old mainstream dance club is simply the presence of naked ladies accepting dollar bills. I visited here on my first full day visiting PDX, stopped in with a buddy and his lady friend after having some drinks at the nearby Shanghai Tunnel, in the city's downtown nightlife district. Co-ed excursions to strip clubs are famously commonplace in Portland, and treated as casually as a suggestion to stop by Kuma's would be in Chicago (nb: strippers in PDX are aesthetically indistinguishable from bartenders at Kuma's --being tattooed and heavily pierced is almost the norm here, not the exception). There was no cover to enter, the girls are fully nude, universally hot/toned/athletic, and they serve alcohol. Not just MGD and Bud Lite, or whatever generic crap the clouted up distributor forces on such places in the Midwest, but quality craft microbrews on several taps, with full shelves of hard liquor behind them. In fact, I didn't see a single person holding a Budweiser product the entire time we were there. Also, strip clubs are so mainstream in Portland that the clientele is split almost evenly between guys and girls. I'd say when we visited it was probably closer to 60/40, but still, very unlike most such places in the Midwest, where it's 75/25 on a good night (hell, as of this writing, the majority of the 20 reviews for this place are from women). There were two stages going, and at one of them the eight or so patrons at the rail were *all* women (perhaps a bachelorette party or workplace outing of some sort, as they all seemed to know each other). The dancers were all personable and fun, and all seemed to be enjoying their jobs. No one seemed surly, dopesick, etc. The most unique thing about the Kit Kat Club, by Portland standards anyhow, was the presence of a heavily tattooed little pixie of a dancer with the body of an Olympic gymnast who, as part of her floor routine, picked up a box of Marlboro Reds with her toes, opened it, pulled out a cigarette, stuck it in her mouth -all with her toes!! -then, again with the feet, picked up a Bic lighter, lit it, and continued to puff on it while doing her show. (I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to smoke indoors in PDX, but who was gonna complain?). That is, obviously, an impossible act to follow up and the girl who was up next said as much, and then proceeded to try anyhow. She was extremely enthusiastic in her attempt, and by the time she was done the three of us had basically taken all the cash we had and just dumped it onto the stage. So, if you're visiting Portland, Kit Kat Club is a pretty good exemplar of the many wonderful, laid back and entirely non-creepy strip clubs the city has to offer. There are many (countless) others, too many to try in one visit, but you will not go wrong in starting your explorations here. EDIT: Forgot to mention that they take BitCoin. I don't drink and I've never been to a strip club before, but a friend of mine was visiting from out of town and dragged me here. As I said before, I had never been to a strip club, so I had no idea what they were like. My only experience with them is what I've seen in movies and TV shows like The Sopranos. Needless to say, I kinda expected them to be somewhat shady and possibly filled with nefarious mobster-types. Yet after spending 5 minutes in the Kit Kat Club, I quickly began to realize all those negative stereotypes I had conjured in my head were completely false. The dancers were all great (and extremely beautiful), the building was actually a lot cleaner and nicer than most bars I've been to, and there was a diverse selection of people in the crowd. I didn't see anyone who looked like Tony Soprano, but I did meet a young guy on the verge of graduating med school, as well as a lot of open-minded couples where both the guys and their girlfriends were enjoying the performers. I got my first-ever lapdance from a super-cute girl wearing glasses named Sasha. She was absolutely adorable and the lapdance was totally worth it. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm usually broke, I would definitely come here more often. The only reason why I gave this place four stars instead of five is because it's the only strip club I've ever been to and I have nothing else to compare it to. I can't really give it the "as good as it gets" 5 star rating until I've experienced what else is out there. Went here on a Saturday night with a group. I had a wonderful experience here. The dancers were beautiful and graceful working the poles. The bouncers were fair and friendly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful as well. I did not mind the $5 cover charge. I paid $6 for a Heineken. It was okay. The club is close to Voodoo Donut. Make sure you have your ID and $5 ready at the door. Like any strip joint, you cannot take pictures or use your phone inside. You are only allowed to check the time on your phone pretty much. Touching the dancers is a no no. If you sit close to the pole dancing stage, you are encouraged to give the dancers at least a dollar tip. There is also a lady walking around collecting tips for those who are shy to sit close to the stage. It got pretty crowded later on that night. It definitely was festive to be here that night. Setting out with 8 or 9 friends to celebrate Nat'l Stripper Appreciation Day, we went first to the Acropolis for dinner then headed to the famous Kit Kat Club. This place is awesome! The entrance fee is $1. The staff are proffesional and friendly. The girls are talented as shit! There is some serious balancing, contortioning, and even an amazing act where the MC dude was throwing and catching one girl as took on amazing poses. There are supposedly two side stages, but I only saw one in addtion to the main stage. Bathrooms are odd, not bad, not dirty, just kind of odd. Drinks are $5 which aint bad. We had a superb time. Everyone was seriously entertained, and often rather tittilated. Mostly smaller and tattooed girls but so very lovely and not at all the sort of tacky thing (strangers' junk directly in my face) that makes me run the other direction. It is a decent bar, interesting and different, the girls all did decent stage dances. But security and management is a nightmare. They are aggressive, rude, and have no sense of customer service at all. I was not drinking that night (I was DD) but I was tipping the girls. I was changing a $5 for $1's with my friend sitting next to me, so I could keep tipping and suddenly the bouncer threw me out, saying that I had put he $5 down and picked it back up and that was against policy. He physically lifted me out of my seat and man-handled me out the door, like I had groped one of the girls or started a fight. Amateur hour, man. I had a great time. The dancers were good, the drinks were good, seating is okay. The lighting is typical, the bouncers are pretty laid back until you pull out a camera or touch the dancers. The rule seems to be at least 2 dollars a song from the beginning and each dancer has like 2 songs. They have everything from biker chick stuffs and cosplay (rogue from xmen or Queen of hearts) to the usual acrobatic stuff. What I feel they're missing is women that aren't white. I saw MAYBE 2 that weren't of the Caucasian persuasion. But they all did good. One of the dancers did the school girl thing, not feeling it but okay. Once he jumped out of his chair and got upset about it, other dancers stole a coat and purse that was a couple chairs down, cleaning the cash out of the woman's wallet, dropping it on the ground and making off with the purse and her coat. Walked into this club feeling a bit jaded because the interior was NOT what I expected. Upon first approach, Kit Kat gives up a 'hole in the wall' appearance since it's located in a somewhat sketchy plaza. But, lo and behold, walk in to view a spacious and swanky club with low lighting that gives off a sultry and sexy appeal. We purchased our drinks at the bar and sat at a round table a little ways away from the racks. This is no ordinary strip club because the girls here possess extraordinary talent and come into work with the ultimate goal of providing the best entertainment possible. There were three girls on the night I went and I can say I was easily WOW-ed and mesmerized by them all. Each dancer had their own personality and flair. They also put so much effort into each of their routines and made sure to work that pole like the true dancers they were. My goodness, I was completely captivated by the asian girls' performance to Banks' 'Waiting Game'. I have flash backs to this day. ;) All in all, classy strip club with beyond talented ladies. If I'm ever in Portland again, I'll be sure to hit this club up again, but hopefully on a weekend (since it was dead on a Monday night). read more
