Meccha Matcha is located in a food court next to other restaurants. The service was quick for as busy as it was this Sunday we went. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food court area isn't very big so naturally is a little noisy but nothing unbearable at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the 'limited edition' Dubai Matcha Soft serve & the ube soft serve. The Dubai had the matcha soft serve in the middle with the chocolate and pistachio cream on the outside. The chocolate tasted very cheap and not a good flavor, the matcha flavor wasn't very strong the star of the show in this and the only part we really enjoyed on this was the pistachio flavoring. It was so rich, filled with pistachio bites with great texture. I'd rate this an over all 2 of 5. The star of the show was the ube soft serve beautifully done! Ultimately, we would come back to try other things on the menu and get another order of the uber ss! Must try

Alexis was very sweet and gave us great recommendations! She also mentioned their grand opening was soon and that drinks will be BOGO 50% off! The drinks were yummy, the you can taste the bergamot notes in the earl grey matcha and the mango coconut matcha was refreshing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance very nice and welcoming![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *Kissa is located where Meccha Matcha was in the Hong Kong market if anyone was wondering.

Super quick and delightful service! Have been coming since before their name change but its still just as good!

Great ube flavors! The ube soft serve is delicious and so is the ube cloud boba. If you like caramelized fruit, they also have that and I loved the strawberries.

The matcha parfait is soo good but I definitely recommend sharing it!! My favorite topping was the boba - perfectly warm, soft, and chewy, as well as the matcha jelly. Such a delightful treat and not too heavy!

Strawberry Matcha Latte, Honey Lavender Matcha

I have heard many great things about Meccha Matcha through word of mouth from my friend, and was pleasantly surprised to find a location in Grand Prairie. Needless to say, I had to make a detour to visit. First thing: the cashier was not very helpful when we had questions about menu recommendations, as Meccha Matcha offers many options of matcha beverages, from ceremonial to hojicha and more. He mentioned he hasn't tried their hojicha and couldn't give more information on their yuzu drinks other than using the fruit as a jam when my dad asked, so we were quite puzzled when ordering - but found the interaction silly anyway. However, the barista really came through with the quality drinks, and was lightning swift in her service. The strawberry matcha wasn't too sweet, and we appreciated the fact that it didn't taste like grassy strawberry milk. The iconic sour taste of strawberry was preserved in its syrup, which served to balance the lighter milk and matcha. Our second drink, the honey lavender matcha, was definitely sweeter owing to the honey. Still, the lavender was very aromatic and their syrup even tasted a bit gingery. Topped off with matcha, we thought this was a very harmonious drink where all of the ingredients and flavors worked really well together. It was just a bit too sweet for me, though. Ultimately, we thought both drinks could've used more matcha, but this was not a problem with Meccha Matcha at all. There is a choice to select different levels of matcha, with matcha intensity ranging from level 1 to 3. We just happened to stay with level 1, no adjustments to try the drinks as they were for the first time. Otherwise, we recommend getting level 2, perhaps level 3 for the people who can handle caffeine and/or adore matcha. Overall, Meccha Matcha was very solid. My only advice would be to do your own research before visiting, so you can get a sense of the range of flavors and options they offer and select the exact drink you want!

This is such a great place to fulfill your matcha cravings. We got an ube matcha soft serve & a matcha dubai chocolate cup. Both were delicious, & the staff were friendly. Will definitely come again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]They sell legit match here and have a cute seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll come back for the ube matcha swirl soft serve. Today I really felt like a matcha drink! I chose lavender matcha latte. $5 and quite tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Internet works well so I'm sitting in bubu seating area getting a bit of work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lovely shops around here! Meccha Matcha is located in Asia Time Squares Food Court in Grand Prairie, serving up great matcha ice cream, drinks, and other sweet favorites! This fine establishment has plenty of parking, so there is no need to worry about finding parking unless you come here during a big event. They are located inside the food court where there are many restaurants to choose from and they have plenty of seats and chairs to sit at in a nice clean well lit environment. I came through on a weekday and ordered the green matcha and ube swirl soft serve ice cream. I ended up getting it in a bowl instead of a cone, and the staff did a great job swirling it in the bowl. The ice cream was perfectly ice cold and was very flavorful and creamy. The flavor had a nice sweet touch to it but wasn't too overly sweet. The ube paired well with the matcha that was slightly bitter with notes of sweetness and umami. Overall, it was a perfect treat, and I enjoyed the ice cream. I'm looking forward to coming back and maybe trying one of the many matcha drinks they have on the menu. The prices and customer service were fair and average.

Ube Matcha swirl soft serve with red bean + mochi balls!

delicious soft serve! I came here after dinner so only was able to get the dessert ~ but their drinks all looked sooooo good. The soft serve was not too sweet and just right in texture! The mix of ube and matcha blended very well~

    Grape and strawberry tanghulu
    Stephanie S.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the matcha/ube soft serve in a cup. I enjoyed the mixed soft serve. However, I would've preferred level 2 or 3 matcha. I wasn't thinking and forgot they offered different matcha levels. Didn't see Tanghulu on the menu or a price. Prices tend to change but for reference. I paid $5 for each one during my visit. I ordered two tanghulu to go and should've asked for a cup of ice water to dip them in. I had to enjoy these sweet treats before all the sugar melted from the triple-digit heat. The staff member who helped me was super sweet and friendly. She made the tanghulu as I enjoyed my soft serve. I selected the tanghulu I wanted and decided on grape and strawberry. I would order it again. The fruit was fresh, and the sugar added a sweet crunch.

Hojicha milk tea with matcha ice cream
    Linn P.

One of the very few places that offer hojicha milk tea. I absolutely love hojicha and had one in Seattle and have been on the hunt here. So here I got the Hojicha latte with matcha ice cream. It just makes it more creamy and a little sweeter but not too sweet. Will be back for the same thing since I can't find hojicha anywhere else

FOOD IG: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: matcha everything! Even different levels of matcha offered [[HIGHLIGHT]]THE VIBE: it's in a food court so not really a vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] PRICE: ~$12 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! Already have. **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - This is my second time getting this shaved ice parfait and I'm in love! - Last time I got the ube and matcha swirl this time I just got matcha and I love both! - If you are not familiar with Asian desserts, we love our sweet red beans so don't be appalled by it! Some people are fans of it and some are not so just be aware. - The mochi balls are flavorless but help absorb the sweetness of the dessert. - I will say this dessert is slightly on the sweeter side and definitely shareable with one more person.

There was a bit of a line but it went reasonably quickly. Upon entry, you grab a tray and tongs, then make your way down the line of self-serve enclosed glass cases with shelves of fresh good. We chose a savory breakfast sandwich, an Almond Croissant and another sweet pastry. In line, the offered to heat our sandwich which we allowed. Then we ordered coffees, paid and sat down. A few minutes later, we walked back up to collect our coffees. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, though the ham and cheese in the center of the sandwich was untouched by the heating process. Next time, we'll ask for a longer heating cycle. The pastries were good. Not as good as made that morning in Paris, but better than most places we've been in the US. We also took some dessert pastries home for later that same night. My wife's was sort of ho-hum but mine was fabulous. I had what I guess would be a cro-nut?? Sort of like a doughnut that was made in layers of pastry, then cut out with a donut cutter. It had a filling in the center and had a sugary coating. SO GOOD! We'll be back to Paris Baguette and we'll try other items and for sure, we'll ask for our heated items to be heated a bit longer.

While the customer service is adequate, the prices are affordable, and the space is bright and clean, so what's the issue? The food. There's no doubt the places is quite authentic and has the old-school charm of an establishment that's been around forever, despite only opening a little more than a decade ago. Seating options are limited as the setup is meant for in an out action. It doesn't stop locals from coming in, especially since the parking lot is almost never full. (#1) Like many Vietnamese bakeries, they offer numerous pastries and desserts, along with cold drinks, and ready-made items for takeout. Despite the banh mi bread being freshly baked, the banh mi seems overly average. Their thit nuong isn't all that sweet and the spread is limited. I've had mildly better results with their dac biet, but the paté is lacking, the pickled veg is abundant, but the meat cuts are slim. Smart people know not to shoot for any milk tea or boba, but instead shoot for nuoc mia (sugar cane juice) or a caphe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee). The former is heavily powder based, which is expected since this is not a dedicated boba spot. Service will also vary and to no one's surprise, speaking Vietnamese will go a long way. I wouldn't rule out a feature return, but I have a feeling the next time I'll stick to drinks only. ___________ (#1) With the exception of big events.
