Check the "not recommended" reviews, they're all great! The staff was very friendly and was able to see what happened with my car in under an hour. They were very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with my exhaust and that I could wait to get it repaired but what I should look for to make sure it wasn't making my car worse. They had to order the parts and I take my car in on Friday for the repair!

I called several "recyclers" and was quoted prices and given advice, but after giving the gal on the phone at American the specific year, model, make and the fact that this assembly was mounted on the quarter panel I was told that yes, they did have one and was quoted a price about 30% less than a new one. Excitedly I made the trip out (about 20 miles) to the outskirts of town and went into the office and repeated what it was I needed and that I'd called the day before and was told they had exactly what I needed. The gal did her computer thing and said, why yes, they did have it but that it wasn't exactly the same, probably wouldn't be an exact match and that it was from a vehicle one model year different than mine. I agreed to go and look at it and was taken out in the back of the large salvage yard and shown the part. It wasn't a match at all and my effort, gas and time was completely wasted. I'm not sure why a business would do this. I guess some folks would put a mismatched part on their car, but I think this is the worst kind of business practice (bait and switch?) and frankly discourages people from patronizing places like this. This kind of thing does get around, but maybe it doesn't matter to American Auto Recyclers. I recommend you avoid this place at all costs. You'll be much better off.

Despite this, the shop door rolled up at the exact time of my arrival and I was efficiently directed where to park. I went in, dropped off my keys, and the front desk checked that they'd be able to fit me in. I understood, due to the volume of vehicles. When he returned, he confirmed it was ok to drop off, but mentioned they may not be able to get to my service that day. Not a problem, I wasn't in any hurry, and again- could see how full up they were. Imagine my surprise when I got a call saying I was ready prior to the end of that same day! I made sure to hurry in and grab my vehicle to clear up space for their shop. The service offered at this place is appreciated. I'll be back.

After calling them, they expedited our request and took it in right away. It turned out that the Turbo Charger failed and the repair was completed in one day. These guys were great. In being a retired engineer, I could tell right away that they knew exactly what they were talking about and that gave me great confidence in their work and service level. We continued our trip home and it really ran great. I couldn't have been happier with their work and great service.

That is exactly what I experienced with The RV Smith. My situation started with several calls around town, trying to find someone who could help me in a pinch and replace the A/C unit on my Jayco Jay Feather, which I just so happened to destroy while going through a do-it-yourself car wash. Long story short, I was distracted and went to the closer car wash instead of the one I normally use to wash my camper. Yada yada yada... I'm a dumbass. As soon as I got home, I started researching businesses that might be able to get the repair done quickly. Since it was a Sunday, I knew all I could really do was research my options and start making calls Monday morning. In all fairness, I knew it was a stretch to find someone who could turn it around right away. Most of the places I called chuckled when I explained the timeline I was hoping for. Several were booked for the rest of the summer and said they could not help me until I was ready to winterize the unit. When I called The RV Smith, Clint answered the phone. From the very beginning, I was met with professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern -- without judgment. Clint asked specific questions about the unit so he could understand my options. Instead of simply telling me they were booked out, he asked if I could swing by so they could get eyes on it and make sure the damage was not worse than I thought. The next morning, I was there before they opened at 8:00 a.m. Clint was already outside helping another customer, then directed me where to park so someone could take a look at it. It was not even 8:00 yet, and another gentleman told me to talk with Clint because he would help me find the best A/C unit for the size of my camper. Clint greeted me, looked things over, and said it appeared to be pretty straightforward. He gave me several options, including units similar to what I had before and a few newer models that were more efficient and much quieter for only a few hundred dollars more. After doing my own research, I had already made up my mind on what I thought I wanted, and it just so happened to be the same unit Clint recommended. He told me I could either leave the camper there until they fixed it, or I could take it camping that weekend and drop it off the following Monday. Since we already had plans, we decided to camp and make do with a portable A/C unit for the weekend. I dropped the camper off the next Monday, and two days later I received a call that it was ready to pick up. What I did not mention is that I also asked if they could provide an estimate for some body damage caused by Big O Tires when they replaced my old tires, and also check why the water heater was not working. They took care of all of that as well and documented everything clearly. I would recommend The RV Smith to anyone with RV issues. If you want to see what real customer service looks like, look no further. I could not recommend them enough.

He was the the nicest guy, super helpful, didn't even charge us to look at our trailer the initial time since he was already there and it only took a couple minutes! WOW!! Talk about scoring points or stars in this case! He was able to order parts and we just had to wait Ben kept us informed the entire time about the order going the back-order when the parts arrived. Then Ben worked around our schedule he was very professional and kept a very clean work area even in the middle of Thunder storms. We would highly recommend Golden Eagle.

Included replacing the automatic stairs. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. The RV is not that old, a 2013 Mercedes/winnebago class C but some of the parts were hard for them to locate. One of the parts even had to come from the UK even though the RV is made in the US.
