And then they started to upsell and push a $1,200 cleaning... They were justifying the claim that they look out 5 to 10 years out, also saying they can't do a full cleaning since it will impact the quality of the future specialized cleaning and after they report to insurance I would be locked out and not able to be covered for it in the future if I did not do it today it would be more expensive later over $2k. So of course cleaning was really rushed. I went to my old dentist a month after and they said it looked like my teeth were not cleaned or polished since they last saw me. I sent the X rays/imaging from the visit to a dentist friend and they said it was a very extreme solution for something that can be managed with personal routine changes. They are entitled to their opinion and how they operate as a business nothing against them. This is a heads up if you decide to go in.

We even experience a dentist wanting to know how much we make for a living. :-/ But now, we found Dr. O'Braitis and his wonderful team. Everyone made us feel so welcome like we are part of the family. During our consultation, he went over any concerns and anxiety that we may have due to our past experiences. But after he spent time with us, we knew we are finally in good hands. Dr. O'Braitis's team is amazing. When making our appointment with Susan, who works at the front desk as the financial specialist, she made the process so smooth. She took the time to gather our information and work with our schedule. After our consultation, she put together how much everything will cost for both our treatments. It was extremely easy to understand. The treatment plan told us how much the insurance will pay and what we have to pay. NO HIDDEN FEES! She made sure all our questions were answered. If she needed to follow up with the insurance company, she made sure to call us with a follow-up call. Honestly, we never experienced such wonderful customer service. Thank you Susan for going above and beyond. Last, but not least, is Joelann, the WONDERFUL HYGIEIST, for Dr. O'Braitis. She is so amazing. We have never experienced someone like her. She made sure we were very relaxed during our X-rays & cleaning. In between the cleaning, she would stop so we can rest. We would talk and laugh about common interests. For once, the dentist's office was enjoyable. Joelann gave me a tip to use a Water pick because I do not like to floss. Let's start with the dreaded shot that no one ever likes, but Dr. Joe has a technique that you don't fill the shot. Seriously, nothing which is the biggest battle when having work done. Dr. Joe was very communicative in the plan, the potential obstacles, and the worst case scenario, so his communication skills is top notch. She listened to what I felt was wrong, went to the back to tell the doctor, and Dr. Dara immediately took me in to check on my tooth. We took X-rays and found a fracture in my molar. Dr. Dara told me my options (root canal & crown or tooth extraction) and allowed me time to process. No pressure. We scheduled for me to come in a week later to do either procedure I would choose. My tooth began to give me a little more pain so I decided to have my tooth extracted and Dr. Dara was able to fit me in a few days earlier. Before starting the procedure, Dr. Dara prepared me by thoroughly explaining step by step what he would be doing. During the procedure, he would constantly check to see how I was doing and communicated what step he was at in the procedure. The extraction went very well. Yes, he applied pressure when he needed to. No, there was no pain because of the local anesthesia. After, Dr. Dara explained what I needed to do for recovery and asked me to come in if I feel anything was wrong. If you're looking for a dental office who are thorough, no pressure approach, and lead with care, come into Forest Family Dentistry. * Just FYI, this is a very busy office for good reason. I felt uncomfortable after getting so many x-rays and asked for them to stop. She said there were only a few more and tried to push the guard back into my mouth, and I had to move my head to prevent it like a toddler. I got up and left shaking. The reason I felt uncomfortable was that I had gotten x-rays the last three visits, and I was told I HAD to get more because I changed insurance. This turned out not to be true -- my partner, who is on the same insurance, did NOT require x-rays. When I asked about it, Tina gave me multiple conflicting reasons that contradicted my own chart. I don't believe these x-rays were necessary, and I was given a reason for them that wasn't true. I'd encourage anyone going here to request your medical records, as I'm doubtful I'm the only one. A message to the Dr. was unanswered. Shame on both of you.
