It's unfortunate that Pottery Barn's waiting message sounds something like this, "welcome to…read morepottery barn and our world class customer service." Obviously, PB Corp. is not paying attention to the Madison branch. Over the last 4 years, I've purchased about $6k worth of furniture and homewares from this branch location. Nearly every experience has been flawed with a lack of attention to detail, rude / inconsiderate staff, and an absolute lack of communication amongst staff members. Some of this stems from corporate policy (ex: do you charge at the moment of purchase for a custom build item, or when it's delivered? I've seen it happen both ways. The timing seems to depend on how much cash PB needs on hand for quarterly earnings reports), while other actions are chosen by employees (ex: not telling a customer why they're waiting, when the sales rep doesn't know how to operate the design software). If you have the option, I advise using the store as a showroom, and then ordering online so you don't have to deal with the sales staff. Or just go to milwaukee. It's probably worth the drive if you still love PB stuff.

Staff was helpful but we kind of knew what we wanted as we had already looked online. Delivery was quick and easy. I will say that based off of our experience, my parents got furniture from here. The delivery person accidentally slashed the side with their box cutter (we think) when delivering it. They called and had a replacement within a week. My only personal wish is that you could opt to pick up the furniture yourself instead of paying the delivery fee but that's not the end of the world.

It was wrapped so I couldnt tell until we got home it didnt belong with my set. The chat team said was such a hassle to get this corrected, I had to explain the situation 3 different times. Bobs finally came & swapped the parts. The couch is comfy but what a miserable experience.

I went to the store for the first time in a while and interacted with the rudest manager, watched her completely ignore her employee who talked to her and then heard another manager on a walkie talkie be incredibly rude while the check out person was helping me. What happened?? They used to have a happy go lucky kind of guy who was so nice and welcoming rather than scolding and biting managers who degrade their employees. There are still great people who work here, but the managers and the vibe of the store and customer care went from the best in town to the worst. I was so sad to see miserable employees who used to be happier. There were piles of stuff around the store blocking displays, Black Friday prep I imagine? It was not like that in years prior. I ordered at Starbucks and it took a pretty long time to get a tall latte, I really don't think I'll be back to the store as a customer -- the managers are driving people online and killing the store. I might as well go to Walmart with lower prices.
