Update to former review: they fixed our roof…read more Pros: the guys, from the office to the crews, are super nice. And they did come through and took the defective panels off and replaced them. Eventually. We do appreciate that. Cons: communication. This company does not communicate. We had to contact them several times about the downspouts and then the defective panels. It took a lot of effort and time to get someone to actually come out and look at what the problem was. My husband texted several times and was largely ignored. When they did fix the roof, no one called us to let us know the materials were being dropped off nor did they call us when then crews came out. Everyone just showed up unannounced. It was a good thing we were home when materials were dropped off, since we needed to relocate cars, etc. Another: if you know the panels are defective, why did you go ahead and put them on the roof to begin with? I was finally told the manufacturer had an issue. It was pretty apparent that the roof did not look right. Worse for Galloway: the majority of those panels were installed on the part of the roof facing the road. So not a great advertisement for their work. Just a thought: if I were installing a roof, and I could see something wasn't quite right, I'd stop the work and fix it right then. Instead, it seemed that they installed it anyway and hoped we wouldn't notice. So this method cost Galloway time and money since they had to fix it after it was completed. Another: if a customer isn't happy-and you aren't communicating effectively with them, having someone send out "give us a review" and "send us referrals" texts and emails is not only not smart, it's infuriating to the customer. And David's reply to the review below was indicative of the lack of communication. Why would a company "request that we call them" and worse-write that in a rebuttal to a review?? You'd think they'd be tripping all over themselves to contact US. Overall-the roof looks good now. But this was an ordeal. The entire neighborhood knows the saga and unfortunately, word gets around. I think Galloway needs to do some soul searching about how to treat a customer.

In addition, the quote included lumber supplies and repairs that they claimed were not needed so the job was finished in under 3 hours when we'd expected it would take a full day. The salesman refused to reduce my bill accordingly. So I ended up paying quite a bit more than I should have. Not cool.
