i really like this place! i hadn't been to a dentist since before covid happened and i had my son,…read moreabout 2 and a half years ago. they didn't make me feel bad about it and established a care plan i was comfortable with. i had to get some periodontal cleaning done , since my gums were bothering me and i have a history of gingivitis . they took my health insurance (united concordia) and i only had to pay $65 out of pocket. the first time I went for the initial exam , I had a panic attack. the staff did not make me feel bad at all, they brought me water and waited until I was comfortable to move forward . They were all very comforting in my time of need. The second time I went back, i got my procedure done. they numbed me and I had no issues. I am going back this week for a routine cleaning. They all have gentle hands and great personalities. I now no longer have to go to the dentist in fear because I know I am in good hands.

I was told we would be seen at the same time and willing changed my arrival time because of this. When I did arrive I was told we wouldn't, in fact, be seen together. Not only were we not going to be seen together, there was no dentist on the premesis. I only found that out because I overheard a conversation the receptionist was having with another patient on the phone. When I asked why we weren't told we wouldn't have exams, she said that patients don't always get exams during their cleaning. I told her this wasn't true because we had always been seen by a dentist for our six month cleaning the three and a half years we'd been going. Another woman confirmed that to be the standard (a dentist's exam) and told me I could come back for a free cleaning and exam when the dentist was in, but the next appointment wouldn't be for another 4 months. Basically the same time I would need to return for my next cleaning. I will NOT be returning to this practice. There's no reason to mislead loyal patients, nor to lie to them when you've been caught doing so. This practice has done this a handful of times eith various things and our last visit was the last straw. They'll try to tell you you only need to have a dental exam every year, but that only seems to apply when you call them out for a dentist not being there. The practice had a change of dentists and never bothered to let their patients know Fossum was leaving. All around they just seem shady. I don't even want to think about the hassle they'll give me when I attempt to get our dental records. I will no longer recommend this practice either.

They started by removing four crowns on my right side and placing temporary caps. I was told I might have pain in my upper right molar and may need a root canal, but instead my lower right molar caused severe pain. The pain was so bad I could not sleep for about a week. When I contacted the office, I was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, but I did not feel comfortable returning. I later went to another dental office because the pain was unbearable. That office performed a root canal and helped address the issue. I also asked that office whether the crowns on my left side needed to be replaced, and they told me no. I then sought another opinion from a third dental office, and they also said the crowns on my left side did not need to be replaced. Based on my experience, I am very concerned about the recommendation to replace all eight crowns and the amount of pain I experienced after the work began. I have never experienced that level of dental pain before. I would strongly recommend that anyone receiving a major treatment plan here get a second opinion before moving forward, especially for extensive crown replacement.

Horribly painful treatments, splints, multiple dental implants, facial implants, sinus lift and other facial surgeries since the accident has also left my nerves in the face overly sensitive, making novocaine delivery difficult and painful. Needless to say, my fear of the dentist is severe brought on by not very successful, and often painful treatments in the past. I cry every time I think of the money I've spent so far on shoddy dental work. Dr House and his staff were understanding, respectful, accommodating, gentle and best of all... They FIXED the issues that 2 other dentists in the last 5 months couldn't fix, and at a fraction of the cost other dentists had quoted me prior, including finding a way to have most covered through my insurance, which I was previously told couldn't be done. Not only didn't they try to push treatment plans that didn't fit my lifestyle or necessity, but they showed me options that I didn't even know existed along with finding a deep cavity under a crown margin that could have turned into something ugly in only months. His office was clean and bright. Run proficiently and professionally. Over all, from a woman who has sunk tens of thousands into correcting my mouth, I consider myself a professional dental patient and Dr House has been hands down one of THE best dental experiences I've ever had. There is much to be said about a clam, welcoming atmosphere to someone who is petrified of the dentist. His demeanor and calm attitude is infectious throughout his staff.
