I could go into every detail but the results are that the job was delayed and delayed while the costs escalated beyond the price of $125.00 per hour for the team which we were quoted. The acrylic pour for the kitchen counter is opposite of what I wanted and bothers me to look at it every day. Many things were left incomplete and we completed them or will be completing them. My advice is to get a real written estimate complete with time frame and listing of jobs to be completed. Gage is a talented guy however we were left feeling abandoned. I have no ulterior motive but to encourage people to not leave themselves open, tie up the contract.

We interviewed and met with more than 10 contractors and got a number of bids. Frankly, we were getting worried. Many of the contractors in this area are just flaky! They don't call you back, they don't show up when you make an appointment to meet, and in general they don't do what they say they will do. Later, when we compared several bids side by side, we found a few had proposed inflated bids. There were other contractors that were skilled with a hammer and offered competitive pricing, but seriously lacked other skills, like listening, communication and customer service. We had a huge project and questions and concerns. We needed a highly skilled contractor for the variety of tasks, good communication, someone who listened, cared about our situation, was easy to talk too and not a flake. Thankfully we found Matlock Construction Services. It was a lot of work and took nearly a month to complete the needed repairs and renovations. Now the project is done and we are thrilled! Working with Todd relieved so much of our stress and worry. We knew we were in the best hands possible. Matlock exceeded our expectations on every level.
