Nothing was broken, no walls were scratch, they dissembled the furniture and put it back together without damaging it, but above and beyond the material things was the respect, kindness, well behaved, helpful, punctual and care shown by the four movers that were involved: Abhishek, Amrit, Pardeep, and Vishal. Thank you for treating myself, my old an new place and my belongings so politely. The move that lasted 11 hours, ran absolutely smoothly. I was really impressed with the professionalism of the movers! They also moved my piano without any damage. I fully recommend this company. Long story short one of the movers went through my mom's things found her cheque book and cashed two cheques in amount of $2000.00. This is how bright he was he signed his own name to the cheque. Why would I request they leave a bike unlocked, I presume leaning against the side of a building on a busy street?? In other words, it was a flat-out lie. I spoke to them about all of this, and they suggested that I file claims through my insurance... is an integral part of a moving business not that they have insurance to cover damages they cause?? If I go through my insurance, there is a deductible and my insurance would subsequently go up... They have been dodging my calls, not returning my calls, and very useless. Most recently they suggested I file a police report for the stolen bike from 3 weeks ago --- completely useless. They are useless, and they are scumbags. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

He complained from the moment he arrived (late), broke several items (I saw him), scratched our floors, and was just overall an awful, lazy person. Even the movers that were with him complained about how he was slow and didn't know what he was doing. He left a box labelled "computer" out in the street. I told him immediately it wasn't a good idea, and went to watch my stuff that he just left outside for hours. I had to stand there and make sure nothing was stolen. There was no reason he couldn't have loaded it onto the truck other than the fact that he was unorganized and slow. Despite having admitted to scratching our floors in person, he later denied it and Capital Moving and Storage did no investigation on our claim other than asking him. When I pointed out that he chipped the corner of our dining table, he said that I should just get a marker and cover it up because insurance wouldn't cover it. Luckily, I knew better - do not try and repair items yourself! - insurance did cover it. I'm sure he knew that if I touched it they wouldn't repair it, so he's just a scumbag. This guy was consistently late, kept asking me to go buy him gatorade, was rude to the other movers, didn't know how to reverse a moving truck into a storage parking lot, wasted several hours of everyone's time, made a mess in the bathroom and didn't wash his hands after using it. I am just so disgusted by this guy and more disgusted that Capital Movers & Storage took his word for anything when he is clearly an unscrupulous character with no decency. You don't ruin someone's belongings, admit to it in person, and then lie about it later. Luckily, it was a company move and we ended up getting things covered no thanks to Capital Movers & Storage - they were the worst part of the move, a nightmare!, everything else was smooth. If you are thinking of using them, I would think again. I think our particular guy's name was Gary. He's an overweight older guy who is always sweaty. If you have to use him, make sure you document everything... video tape if you can or you'll regret it. If your company is using them for a move, I would urge you try and get them to consider another company or at least make sure that you don't get this driver. Moving is tough and stressful and everyone we dealt with during this move tried their best to make it as smooth as possible for us. Capital Movers & Storage did the opposite and it seemed like they don't mind if their employees make their clients miserable. If I could rate them a 0, I would.

Our storage company was being super nit picky and wouldn't allow us to keep the trailer over night, but uhaul kindly accommodated us! On top of the good customer service, the pick up and drop offs were seamless. We got our furniture and personal belongings on time and in tact. My only recommendation to anyone using upack is to make sure you pack your items well as this is not a service they offer. They simply transport and they do that well! This company took advantage of relatives (seniors). The morning of the move they called to say…read morethat there was a now a 2 hour travel time (they knew where they were moving 3 weeks prior), as well as it was a Stat Holiday (which it was Federal only, not Ontario). So the rate went from $149.00/per hr for 3 men to $ 223.50 per hour plus 2 additional hours. Of course calling the morning of the move, my relatives had NO choice but to move. At the end of the move they also added $ 160.00 fuel surcharge on top of all the additional charges. Totally outrageous to do to Seniors on the day that they had to move. Unfortunately we didn't realize how much they were ripped off by these movers until it was done. ...and of course they refuse to talk to me regarding this.

He finally showed up about 3hrs later, loaded the truck, went for lunch and drove to our house which is about a 25 minute drive from the pick up location. He charged us 1.5 hrs of travel time plus 3hrs to load and unload (including lunch time of course) plus fuel surcharge.. He never mentioned that he charges for travel time either.. The estimate for the move was $500-600 and he charged us almost $800 If you want an honest estimate/ mover, don't hire these guys!!
