We made the mistake of having our countertops installed from Kingston Monuments this summer and faced problems every step of the way. These people are rude and will not take responsibility for their errors. We asked for pictures of the granite slab from the warehouse but never received them. Much to our dismay when the countertop came, it was hideous. It had the wrong edges and looked entirely different from the slab they had in their office, we expected some variance but it looked like a completely different stone... and we were not about to spend thousands of dollars on something that looked so terrible. At first they would not listen, but then we finally got them to agree on giving us a slab of something they had available in their store and we had to change our entire kitchen design (we were renovating the entire kitchen) because the colour was different. So we waited a week and a half for the new stone to come in, living in the gutted mess that was our kitchen as it had no running water (as we were getting our sink installed from them too and the old one had been removed), no countertops as the old ones were removed, no stove as that was to be fitted in after the countertops. The worst part is when the countertops finally did arrive, they removed the existing pieces of plywood that leveled the old countertop, moving the new ones down more than an inch and when we tried to put all our drawers/cabinetry back, nothing would fit!!! You would think a company that claims to specialize in countertops would inform the customer of this issue BEFORE installation. We had to get our entire kitchen cabinetry fixed because these imbeciles did not know how to do their job. And in turn, they tried to claim our Kitchen Kraft cabinetry was not installed properly. Concurring with the review above, Elias Rigos was extremely rude/unprofessional and difficult to deal with. Do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere! read more
