First open house ~ some woman thinks SHE can determine where we can sit. I DON'T THINK SO. I later learned that this "Entitled" attitude runs rampant. Principal is extremely proud of their "legacy" policy. Let me get this straight ~ you would rather accept an "F" caliber student who has siblings attending or parents who attended rather then a "B" student with NO previous ties to this school? The resounding "yes" sealed the deal. Get the picture? Our education dollars were spent at another private school.

There is a club for just about any/every interest. The school is very large and competitive on both an academic and sports level. NNHS offers tons of options for career exploration so students can tap into their interests and find out where they may want to go after high school. For many coming out of NNHS this means getting a college degree however NNHS does educate students on options outside of the traditional college route. NNHS provides students with the tools necessary to be successful in and after high school.

If you attend this school, you will be ready for college and managing the issues involved with larger schools. It is imperative that students look for ways to self-advocate and imperative to get involved in clubs or other activities. Parents will need to be more involved to help with a 4-year plan to use the many options available at the school. The music program is excellent in all areas, choir, orchestra and band... the athletic opportunities are strong (although if you are a casual player, you may not make Varsity or JV)... the clubs can sometimes fill up too much and they have to have try-outs. I had two children there and unfortunately I didn't get them out before damage occurred to their self-esteem. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Took an issue to the vice president of the organization that they belong to and was told that charges have been brought up in the past against the leadership here but they never stick. I guess Bethany pays a lot of money to be a part of their Lutheran organization. So it wasn't worth pursuing action against them. Unfortunately. Somebody really does need to put them in their place so they put all children at the forefront of their teaching mission but unfortunately they play favorites.

We are thrilled that both of our kids will attend through 8th grade. I honestly couldn't imagine sending them anywhere else. We came from the public school a couple years ago and are so happy we switched. Best decision!!
